Just been reading the rovers digest. Can’t believe even after all these year that we paid £212000 for Paul Harvey
As a club some of the decisions we have made to shoot ourselves in the foot are unbelievable, we continually find new ways to do it but yes signing him for that amount of money is a tough one to take even after all these years

Considering we have cut our budget I’m impressed regarding the Calibre of the players we have signed 3 championship regulars who should find the 1st division fairly easy interms of the quality of the opposition they will face . Some fans aren’t impressed why who do we sign? Wedderburn is classed as a cast off not bad for a player that’s been a regular for the Pars and reached the play offs likewise Gillespie with Dundee Utd, Lewis Milne top goal scorer from midfield wins the league with Montrose , Chris Duggan sweeps the POTY awards at East Fife and there top goal scorer, Robbie Thomson no1 goalkeeper for Falkirk. Are they better than the players we released I believe they are
I agree mate

As above with a winger
Or 3-5-2 with Matthews deeper on the right in place of Watson and Buchanan up front? Would mean no winger but do we need one with the lack of height in attacking areas? Maybe Smith is going for fast-flowing fitba on the new surface lol
I have watched pre season training a few times last 2 weeks and in barry' s defence everything is on the deck, hopefullya sign of things to come

Flanagan is at training today as is Wedderburn, doesn't appear to have chucked his toys

Based on what? His use of the ball is dreadful.
disagree think he is decent on the ball just a poor defender but it's all about opinions. Would rather we didn't sign him tbh

I must’ve missed that quote last season (thank f*ck!!). He can’t do the school boy basics at defending, he’s absolutely gash! Genuinely if he could defend, he’d still be with someone like Hearts, I think he’s great going forward, but he just can’t defend.
All this optimism, I’m off to buy my season ticket today.he would be better at left mid if we sign him again!!

Sounds very Raith Rovers. Ah well at least we can rule out someone coming in for Vaughan if he’s crocked at the moment.5 minutes ago, Raithie said:

We shouldn’t be looking at Wedderburn now.
We have Matthews and Gillespie as CDM’s. We don’t need a third for that job.I agree wages could be better spent elsewhere

He was pretty awful, aye. I'm trying to find the gif of his penalty that probably still hasn't landed but I'm having no luck (@Ross Forbes you have that saved?)

Apparently Ayr are close to signing him. Turned down an offer from Brechin too.
3 hours ago, renton said:Seems almost certain to be him, doesn't it. Between him and Gillespie it'd give us a lot of presence in midfield, certainly. Wonder if we'd end up looking at a 3 man midfield, or a variation on that.
Wedderburn was training with us yesterday, he is a unit but not sure he is what we need

giving jimmy the janny the job was without doubt worse than Gary fecking Locke and that's saying something. If we appointed a semi efficient manager who knows where we would be now, the 90's were a helleva rollercoaster ride but feck me it has been a crash landing
