  1. Pars in for McInroy (Image: PA) Dunfermline are trying to sign Kerr McInroy on-loan from Celtic. The Pars want to bring in the midfielder for their Championship push. The 20-year-old has still to make the breakthrough into Celtic’s first-team, apart from being involved in pre-season trips. Looks about 35. Fair build for a 20 year old too. Seen some youtube stuff on him and he has a great left peg. Apparently a ''combative'' midfielder.
  2. I heard he was done and dusted two weeks ago. Not heard anything from Crawford for about two weeks either or any updates since training re-started last week. Very unlike the Pars to be fair. Other clubs seem to have had pictures of pre-season training etc.
  3. We were selling 3500 when we gave free kids tickets away two years ago. We stopped that last season and put prices up for adult tickets. The free kids tickets became a farce. Folk older than me were using them to get in free, it was wasn't getting policed properly. Became a total piss take.
  4. I would say it's down to mitigating circumstances..The support is still there. Lifeline has gone up in recent months. Many folk have job uncertainty and on top of that, we don't know how many games we will get to see. Many people will see pay as you go as more sensible option for them. Over 1900 is pretty good considering the current situation. Should be close to last seasons 2500 by kick off.
  5. It's a bear pit and I was the daddy until I moved out of Pitcorthie. If you were the daddy you would at least be called Rab, Rob just doesn't cut it.
  6. Aye, I wasn't familiar about the location, but it's the horrible design.
  7. Barley is a superb pub. Always a friendly, lively atmoshpere in there.
  8. Tbh. If Pars are in the Premiership, EEP will be fine. It only seems too big if we are out the top division. I can't stand grounds like St Mirren's. It would be horrible being out by Halbeath halt or some souless bit of land. It's not just the football I enjoy my day out for. I like walking 10 minutes into the Town and having post match beers with the lads. I just don't think swapping our current 11,000 stadium for 8000 stadium is worth it.
  9. Twitter nonsense. Chairman has already made it clear that the new owners are not interested in the stadium.
  10. Look at me hector Hands up that I was a bit snippy btw. I was on the sauce watching the Scotland game and it put me in a shite mood.
  11. Quick look at the current German squad and Jonas Hector (43 Germany caps) 233 apps for Cologne started off at SV Auersmacher, who are currently playing in the 6th tier of German football. That was quick 2 minute bit of research. Can't be arsed find more examples of the potential talent to be tapped into.
  12. Couple good signings for Ayr and Arbroath there. Would have liked Virtanen at EEP.
  13. 1. How will you do this season? Looking for 3rd place this season. We seem to put together decent squads and still end up mid table. This season we look like a team that minimum should be 4th. If we don't Crawford will be out. 2. Best moment of last season? Kevin Nisbet's goal in the Friday night TV game against Dundee. Pars had been on a really bad run at the time(think 5 defeats in a row) and it's goals like that, that remind you of why you stick by your team through the bad times. 3. Worst moment of last season? Josh Edwards clearance off the Alloa player to let O'Hara in to score at EEP. We lost 3-1 and things were pretty bleak at that point. I was enjoying hospitality that day and as happens quite a lot, the match puts a dampener on your otherwise good day out. 4. Who did you like and dislike last season? Dislike these Friday night games hitting us in the pocket. Both our home games against Dundee were on a Friday night and massively affected our crowd. That TV deal is hitting us hard in the pocket. My like was beating Dundee Utd 2-0 at home for the first time in their 4 year stint in the championship. Everybody else seemed to have no problems beating them over that period, but we always seemed to give them too much respect. 5. Which current player at your club should have part of the ground named after them? The Tom Lang gymnasium. Quick look on instagram and you can see that he's spent a lot more time in there than on the East End Park turf.
  14. Thread page 1903 you're stating how uncomfortable you are are with the takeover and''what's in it for them'' stuff. Which is fine. The ''what lower league German player has ever gone on to a bigger club'' stuff then degrades into an agenda. You don't need info. It's obvious a population of 80 million has had various lower league footballers move on to better things.
  15. ^^^thomas Meggle imo Nah just clarfying that the point you're making is shite.
  16. Probaby loads, but not many folk care in Scotland if Thomas Meltzer went on to be a Legia Warsaw legend (made up but could well of happened).
  17. I think we will certainly see a few German faces pop up, much like we do now with English guys like Gabby McGill, Bowman, Coley etc. Think a lot of folk are jumping to conclusions that our who squad is going to be filled with non-league Germans though. I expect that Scottish players will continue to dominate our starting 11.

Some very big clubs in there.
  19. Which of course means f**k all in terms of how competent they will be as club owners.
