Thought Alloa were much better in game at EEP earlier in the season but our clown shoe defending and terrible goalkeeper is killing our season. The guys knock the ball about pretty well but there's no organisation.

Yeah, understand what you are saying but for me after watching last week it had to be Martin and another out of Devine or Ashcroft, as they just can't play together. They bring the worse out of each other. Edwards has not been great lately but I would rather have a weak link at left back than two blundering centre backs. Like you say though, Lang on the bench today and Murray back in January will hopefully bring further options and a stronger back four.

Ash and Devine is a toxic partnership. I didn't see the game today but last week at Dundee was the worst defending I've seen. Shocked to see Stevie start with the exact same back four. Ash was an absolute disaster last week but he and Martin had been very good together previously as a centre back partnership, even Martin & Devine against Morton were good. Hopefully he has finally learned a lesson today. Our problems go deeper than just the CB's though. Think we are too quick to sit deep and aim to counter attack when we take the lead in any game or generally away from home. We're just a bit too cautious and rely on Nesbit, Kiltie and Dow on the counter attack too much. Still think we can improve under Stevie but the last two games show that we still have a long way to go to start thinking about promotion through any route.

Back 5 were a complete shambles. We always look more solid with Martin alongside Ash at CB. Devine is just a nervous presence even when he's not fucking up. Can't wait til Murray and Lang are back and hopefully never see him in a Pars shirt again. Still don't get what Turner does than getting knocked off the ball and shite passes. His couple of goals at the start of the season seem to have made him teflon. Joe Thomson needs to start ahead of him now. Paton back in for Cochrane too. Nisbet led the line brilliantly. Held the ball up and always looked a goal threat. Really crap performance yesterday. Hopefully learn from that team selection and put things right at Inverness next week.

I'll be going. Wife is a Dundee ST holder and we're staying in Dundee Saturday night. Totally understand folk drawing a line at prices though. Still think we will bring 500 or so. Not sure if that's enough to open the Bob Shankly.

Lewis Martin in the SPFL team of the week again. He really has kicked on this season. You can play him anywhere across the back and he will be equally as good in all positions. Hope we have a few quid rattling about to extend his contract in January.

Edwards has got bags of potential but still very raw at times. I think Martin will go to left back when we start getting centre halves coming back. I'm sure Ross County fans are giving a honest assessment of Dow's time there, but thankfully the guy has been outstanding since arriving at EEP. Consistently good.

Expected an Arbroath win today. Good point for Dundee.

Thought we sat back too much after the second goal. Morton certainly never gave up and had good amounts of possession after going two down. Didn't think we were that great second half but having Dow, Kiltie and Nisbet in our side means that we can score goals regardless of performance.

Should be winning this. Home form has been strong recently and Morton's away form is gash. Still can't feel confident when we have had recent defeats like Alloa and Stranraer though.

Willie Gibson put in one of the best wing performances I've ever seen at East end that night too. The Dundee right back Eric Paton was subbed at half time.

None of those clubs could afford Nisbet.

Flannigan was their stand out in the last game. He sits in an area that allows him lots of ball and starts attacks from deep. I'm never confident of predicting any wins in this league but I will say that we are playing a good bit better than we did last time the teams met and would be disappointed if we don't get three points here.

Jackson Longridge was poor defensively. Always found he had to revert to a lunging tackle to make up for his poor positioning. The fact he had a knack of scoring goals covered up a lot of deficiencies. Personally think Martin is quite a bit better than Jackson and I think Edwards will eventually become far better than both of them. The lad has all the attributes to move on to bigger things.

Paton has done well in a Pars side that would wipe the floor with that seaside pish fae Grangemouth.

She was the special guest when I was in hospitality around 5 years ago. Apparently was friends with Jason Barber at Buckhaven High school and he got her into Pars games.
