Burrell was a breath of fresh air today + I also think Gary Oliver had a great game behind him . Should now stick with that formation - Burrell goals to minutes ratio has to be one of the best in Scotland. Anyone have the stats.

It was not a great surprise we dropped points yesterday. We won’t catch Dunfermline now and the players performance reflected that reality. But we have the playoffs and Scottish cup to look forward to so let’s not be too critical. Does anyone know if the cup final losers still get into Europa conference. Great time to be a Bairn I was in the south stand today and watched mcguffie apply great skill to score that goal . I was also behind the goal many years ago when god scored from the half way line. To be honest I never thought it could be bettered but I think mcguffie may well have pulled it off. I need to see it again on falkirk TV but he had less time , had a smaller area of the goal to hit and took the ball first time at waist height. Absolutely superb

Every player gave there all tonight. Different class ! In addition I thought the much maligned Mr Colum had a superb error free match

I don’t have any issue with them analyzing the match it’s them interjecting with their advice as to where he’s going wrong and how we should correct it that’s the annoying part especially given as far as I’m aware neither have played the game at any decent level. Don’t get me wrong I think overall they do an excellent job but recently they have strayed from opinion to advice .

I thought Alloa were good today for 35 mins . However their tat-tic of harrowing is at every opportunity was destined to run out of steam ! When they did we started to pick holes in their tiring defense especially after Burrell came on and used his pace to great effect. Great tat-tic by McGlynn to realize they would tire and keep us keep with our passing game. Pretty annoying therefore every week to listen to Falkirk tv explain what Mcglynn has done wrong ,how he should change it ! They even have the audacity to explain every week how we have set up wrong and even how we should change shape to counter the opposition. I like Lewis he does a great job but this continuous advice he gives to the management gets on my tits . Just commentate on the action and keep your tactical expertise for your five a side please!

Mcglynn should pick the best players available As manager he doesn’t need to explain his choice or reasons to any player - if PJ had played well against Dundee & QOS then he’d be first choice . He didn’t so his cost is on a shaky peg - he needs to shape up or ship out simple - !

Agree other than yeats in for Oliver. Henderson has been dodgy at the back but was like a young Crawford babtie in midfield today. . Prior to him coming in there today we were way to lightweight . He may prefer to be centre half but he’s much more effective in centre mid.

Agree I believe he is probably the best manager in the league , chopping & changing hasn’t worked for us so give him time to make a go of it .

The bottom line is the squad is not good enough to win this league. I think the critics of MCGlynns Tactics are a bit unfair as he has done well to play the hand he was dealt. I don’t think many could have done better. We just need to adjust our expectations for a few years and understand that the journey to the top of the championship or the bottom of the premiership will not be straightforward. Once he has built HIS squad would be a better time to evaluate the team and our performances. Only one or two of the squad would be good enough to play at that level and that won’t include Morrison Nesbit Henderson any of the keepers mcguffie etc

Fans were very quiet today, and agree with other posters that we were pretty shit overall - frustrated by Morrison never beating his man and hitting the bye line . In general we couldn’t get in behind and the resultant long angled balls played right into their hands. We got what we deserved virtually no chances and no goals whilst they had a few chances and one goal.We now lead a lot of breaks to win this league

Add to that Henderson who is a decent footballer but a poor competitor. Needs to visit ma maw in get some steak pie.Bullied in every challenge in the first half which affected his confidence. Biggest mistakes today were made by Mcglynn who was totally out thought by their tactics. Yeats adds an urgency and mobility in midfield.and should now start there. We also now need a plan B as Kelty have just advertised to the rest of the league how to kick us off the park to great effect! We can still win this league but we need to learn from our mistakes Kelty’s performance was a carbon copy of the last time we met .

Don’t forget Saturdays crowd will be. Boosted by the Kelty fans should add about 34 to the crowd

I would keep McKay in the team at right back he did really well there today including putting in a peach of a cross that Morrison should have thrown himself at . Yeats is a great prospect but it won’t do any harm to rest him

Maybe McGlynn can work his magic on Jamie Wilson and give us a back up right wing back !

Hopefully Motherwell it’s high time they were relegated. Does anyone know what happened to the Falkirk tv coverage yesterday when I logged on it was Dunfermline tv that was showing the game. 2 fife numptys who could hardly speak ran the show. Lewis is head and shoulders above them just didn’t get why he wasn’t performing

Thought Burrell was superb today. He will score over 10 this year I’m sure but he is so good at brining others into play. Felt sorry for Henderson as he also had a good game . If the team play like that then they absolutely can win this league

Didn’t see the game today . By all accounts pretty poor stuff and strange call by the manager to switch McCann to RB . Maybe McGuffie and Nesbit need to sit one or two out to give others a chance. Airdrie getting pumped shows just how strange a league it is and QOS and the table topping Pars only attracting a gate of just over a 1000 demonstrates that full time football won’t be around for either of them for long.

Probably an England fan as well gtf mate we hate both sides of the old firm and detest the thought of us being connected to that shit
