The guy was not a convicted criminal because the evidence was. It good enough . A civil action is totally different he ultimately paid some cash to end the thing . Now I’m not suggesting he didn’t deserve some of the flack he’s been subject to but he is a free man and deserve a chance to move on . I think he would be a great signing !

Just listened to Rennies interview on the PF podcast - My conclusion is he is very smart and will be a big success at Falkirk - he may need to stabilize the club before putting his stamp on it but I congratulate the new board for making this bold appointment- onwards and upwards I hope

Rice is a self confessed bettaholic who has a serious addiction / condition, that he confessed affected his judgment I can't imagine that with such a condition he can function as a leader of men wether it be as a club manager or even less likely a sporting director. We need someone to lead the club properly and drag us out of the shit we've been in for years - That person must be some one we can all get behind look up too and believe In .Brian Rice has enough issues without the added burden of Falkirk problems.

Absolutely spot on and the rim lies the root of our problems. They can appoint as many puppet boards as they wish “ however the evidence seems to be it doesn't work - we need an owner running the club not orchestrating matters from the wings and collecting their annuity from a stand that wasn't needed.

Reality is in his line of work he should have known not to send abusive messages to the punters who pay for his privileges. I’m all for a new board ideally clearing out the lot of them including the MSG. The problem I see is previously the NB group were offering the existing regime 500k to boost the team on the park (with some conditions attached). Even if that offer was trebled now it would not be enough to buy out the shareholders never mind clear the debt. IMO the shareholder base needs to be completely restructured as another board with little skin in the game will just be another version of the same thing.and the downward spiral will probably continue. Q- how many accountants/ business consultants do you need to realize we can’t operate with these massive costs and declining income . It’s a shocking reflection / inditement of their professional capability that they allowed this debt to build up.

Remember Deans is a volunteer, a fan who stupidly ( initially he was reluctant) agreed to lex miller’s constant requests to join the board. I agree he and Colborn had to go once they had made an arse of themselves but they are / were genuine supporters who unfortunately had nothing much to offer. I hope the Navy blue or whoever takes over can find a real Leader with the strength of Character to sort the Mess at the club out . The Rawlins involvement was always a bit weird to say the least why you would want to live in Denver and invest in a small community football club thousands of miles away beats me. Please please no more fking accountants or consultants getting involved and hopefully SA & MR & GH go at the same time it’s no co-incidence we’ve been on a downward spiral with them hanging around like a bad smell.

IMO the mistake the board continually repeats is aligning themselves with the club management too much . Ever Q& A the manager and and his staff are present .The board should be trying to side with the fans , understand their frustration and listen to the collective viewpoint . At present that collective seems to want Holt out, and colborn and or Deans to resign. ( they would do well to heed this or the divide will widen) Continually defending their position and that of the managerial staff creates an us and them narrative which is toxic in this situation. I’m not suggesting the board take on board every suggestion but listening to the clubs “real stakeholders “ and seeing themselves as others see them would foster an environment where we can all move forward together. At present this seems very unlikely so for once they should put the club success above their own and act for the good of all bairns.

I have little sympathy for our board . They have all chosen to give up their time to take part in the fiasco that is now our club . Most of them don’t have any shares and those that do live in the states. Why they are in these roles god knows - They should have known that every board I can recall has been verbally abused by the fans - “ it’s just part of going to the” fitba” At games rightly or wrongly personal abuse directed at our own / opposition directors players and match officials is standard fare and often wouldn’t be tolerated outside of a stadium . Wether is hissing after Norris mcCathie died from a gas leak , singing about opposition players girlfriends being sluts throwing eyeballs on the pitch or whatever why would the people in charge expect anything else given the recent form .They can’t have been surprised by the reaction. It’s just par for the course I’m afraid and part of the reason many go to the game to let of steam in a way they wouldn’t be allowed in normal society . Board members can’t expect to enjoy the free hospitality when things are going well if they can’t take the shit (however abusive ) when the going gets tough.

He is the assistant accountant - to GD . At least when we finalize our desperate accounts we can be sure that they will be absolutely correct confirming we’re on the road to financial Armageddon as well as the playing version . We should have successful entrepreneurs/ businessmen making up the board and employ an accountant.

Like everyone else I’m despondent at the clubs demise. There is something terribly wrong and it been there for at least 5 years . Puppet boards with no skin in the game playing at running a football club seem like the probable answer. I don’t doubt they have all been well intentioned yet it’s the one recurring factor. The MSG who repeatedly appoint these toothless entities must also be at fault . Time and time again we change directors , managers , players and playing styles yet we just get worse and worse. The club needs to have the power in the hands of someone a lot closer to the playing staff than the current owners . 2 in America and 2 in hiding has got us into this almighty mess. My vote is get rid of everyone from the MSG to the board and all their hangers on by simply not turning up and they will soon get the message. I for one have decided enough is enough and I’ll not be back until there is real change happens. Sad that I and others are so pissed off but Saturday tipped me over the edge - why would I / should I pay to watch guys who have simply not got a clue and obviously don’t give a shit.

Two up top is not the way Sheerin wants to play he wants runners of a central striker. Too many on here telling him how to do his job. It’s too early to say if his more fluid football plan will work or not but he is an accomplished coach and tactician with very specific ideas on how he wants the game played. I’m still supporting his selected style as overall we are creating more chances .with a few breaks it will all come together and someone will get a doin Hopefully Airdrie

The Rawlins got control because we have 2 apathetic main shareholders in SA & MR who believe they can pass the buck to whoever to run their show -as long as it facilitates them hanging around like a bad smell. Lex was guilty of badgering deans into taking the role and he took some persuading . It’s unfair of SA & MR to expect a shadow board to do their dirty work without any real experience , or compensation . Rawlins is a smart guy but he is probably regrets getting involved in what is fast becoming Scottish footballs leading shit show!

There is not a great deal of difference in the players in Scotland outside of the SPL what makes the difference is tactics, motivation fitness and overall club management . From what I witnessed yesterday I can saw a huge difference in the performances from Sammon & Durnan much fitter and better since stepping up to part time . The tactical advantage of only having 30 mins on a Thursday night in the pub to discuss the opposition was also clear fall all to see. Alloa players clearly motivated by wee Barry,s in depth technical knowhow responded well to his 10 min pre- match chat . However the main advantage Alloa had was the support from the chairman who also doubles up as bus driver, chief executive, groundsman, scout , and director of football. He does this in his spare time after working a 60 hour week running his business. Fitba is a simple game played best by idiots complicated by well meaning businessmen who think it’s a business.

Get Ernie on the park up front - might not be his best position but he is a quality player with skill touch , and strength. From what ive seen so far he would cause mayhem in this league. No point of having a guy like him on the bench launch the new baptie sooner rather than later !

No doubt but as long as they pay their money they can give that opinion laldy We all think we know better than the next guy.

If we haven’t signed a striker we could do worse than sticking Ernie up top with Keena at least for part of the match 6.4” with silky skills will cause them more problems than any other option we have !

Rawlings rightly rejected the cash as it would have derailed his plan. In business the man in control calls the shots and he got in first. IMO I’d rather have one guy that knows what he’s doing than 10 guys remortgaging their homes to stick their nose in . As admirable as their intent was be honest it would be a lot safer for them if they did not put their cash in as it’s almost certain they would lose the lot. There is no money to be made out with the old firm by owning football club shares in Scotland. Ask Martin Richardson how his involvement went from an investment perspective .

If they need investment and things are on the up they will have a successful share issue to raise more cash. ( He has already alluded to the fact that he wants to raise funds from the support using such a scheme ) You need to trust in Rawlings experience to execute a plan to prepare us for the next level. My advice to you is to get yer rattle out and cheer the boys on and leave the finances to the guys in charge .

Unity is critical - as long as the MSG keep their noses out and the 50 guys with their 10 k keep their hands in their pocket we will continue to progress. The key is that all the guys say they love going to work at the stadium. Off the park we are witnessing a welcome change resulting in much improved player recruitment - Everything seems finally to be moving in the right direction . Get on board !
