  1. I was at a belter of a cup tie there last season. A replay against Weston Super Mare from the league above, Workington won 2-1. It was a freezing cold night but a cracking atmosphere, about 600 or 700 there but it felt packed (albeit with a near empty away end - except for a big JCB!) Can't imagine Borough Park with 3000 in & it'll be a ghostly Broadwood type feel for them in an 8000 seater
  2. Thanks. Reviews on google play store suggest the app is a bit pish and Chromecast doesn't work well with it, but most of the reviews are from rugby fans who are always bitter anyway. Seems weird about the restricted access to the player when you can get it if you have neither Sky or Virgin.
  3. Hi mate I see you've taken the plunge with Premier. Are you watching with Sky or just streaming/Chromecasting with an app? Thanks Can't decide what to do yet, I've enjoyed Eleven Sports but haven't been able to watch as much as I'd hoped. Getting the ice hockey with Premier makes it tempting, but only if the app's good and can be casted to TV.
  4. Morton won the moon? That's impressive, don't think even Alex Ferguson managed that!
  5. I stand corrected. I'd gone for... Portray: describe (someone or something) in a particular way. "the book portrayed him as a self-serving careerist"
  6. Nice, was thinking of doing the double myself but had to get back to Dumfries for an evening job. Here was my view at Auchinleck (apologies if this skews the formatting of the page on yer phones)
  7. This seems to be done pretty much everywhere. It was brought up on Off The Ball a while back asking how, when and why it started, nobody seemed to know. It's a nice wee bit of respect for people making the effort to support their team.
  8. It was a nice surprise to see Ahmed Aloulou's name on the team sheet yesterday, I completely missed he'd signed for you. I saw a lot of Futsal last season and he was one of the standout players. There's a few guys from from lower leagues in the futsal scene, and some really talented boys, but I wouldn't have expected any to jump straight into a Championship squad. It'll be interesting to see how he does if he gets some game time.
  9. Pish. They better not pull the plug midseason, I paid for the year upfront! I've not been able to watch many games, but I've been enjoying it. Next in will probably be DAZN. They're owned by the same folk that do the Opta and betting stats, already got a chunk of Europe covered including Germany & Italy, plus US & Japan
  10. Here's an example. There's a new one on every page, different advertisers. What makes them worse is they're animated, some go right round the screen before settling. Thankfully they can be clicked off once they stop animating. I'm using Chrome on a Samsung (android) Maybe time to get the app right enough

I'd recommend the Welcome Card as well. Works for all trains, trams & buses and gives hefty discounts at plenty of shops, restaurants etc, and even for Hertha games, 25% off if I remember right. You can get a phone app as well that tells you where your nearest stop is and times etc, really handy. I guess you're asking about a sightseeing bus though, can't help you there.
  12. Me too. Smith and Henderson top scorers last year, one of them banging them in elsewhere and the other only getting cameos from the bench wide left. Smith started great last season but maybe needed taken out and made to work hard for his spot after getting bullied out of too many games. Hopefully now he's ready. When Fergusson was over on loan last year I liked the 4-3-3 with Smith on the left, Fergusson right and Henderson through the middle. I'd like to see Murphy try this with Fergusson in the middle and Johnston on the right. It'd mean Wallace playing deeper than he'd like but there'd be plenty of pace up top.
  13. Absolutely. I was disappointed Fergusson didn't get on yesterday. He looked ok when he got a run of games at Queens last season and I've seen no reason to think he wouldn't do well for Annan if given the chance
  14. I enjoy an occasional trip along the A75 to a Stranraer game. If the weather's with you it can be a great day out, I'd recommend it as a good way to see plenty of D&G. Careful though, it's a brutal drive if the weather's against you!
  15. I see me! Kinda, just about next to the fella standing at the back in the middle. Nutters is definitely right. That rain was brutal at times and they could have been under cover if they wanted to be. Some boys! Hope you enjoyed your day
  16. Agreed, and is what I fear. It's a young squad at Annan so his leadership could be missed
  17. Slim chance. If Annan are in the playoffs it'll be in 4th place, and only just. Playing some nice stuff at times but just not being clinical enough. I'm not sure who should be starting up front at the moment, I suppose it's good to have options at this level but none are currently firing. On the plus side there's not been too many conceded and that's been largely with a makeshift backline. It'd be good to have Watson and/or Swinglehurst back to allow Hooper to get back to full back and Sinnamon back in midfield. We've also yet to see if losing Kevin Rutkiewicz from the coaching staff will have an impact. Hopefully not, but he seemed to be a big influence, time will tell.
  18. Good points. I'm willing to back the new boys but been there done that with Setanta I suppose. My internet is too pish to get BT on the TV, I have to use Chromecast. So watching Eleven Sports is no different to watching BT for me, and so far so good, but you're right about alienating loads of people. Another huge reason it better not go to facebook or Amazon.
  19. Mourinho wouldn't have got away with that goading at Tynecastle! Serves Juve right for trying to win 1-0 instead of 3 or 4
  20. See it... https://twitter.com/btsportfootball/status/1060268179472171008?s=08 He should've confessed. Get himself some good PR, they'll win by a few anyway. It's always done my nut in aswell, but there is an actual explanation for it. It's because refs are trained to run down the left channel apparently... but that contradicts itself because surely the reason they're told to run down the left channel is because it's the opposite side to the linesman
  21. I'd be happy for Eleven Sports to get it, or at least be serious about bidding for it to help drive the price up. I'd also be happy for BT to get exclusivity, but definitely not Sky, and Facebook & Amazon can get tae feck aswell. Whatever happens, I hope we see an end to the habit of only showing the Old Firm when they're away. Shite for fans of everyone else who actually want to go to these games at 3pm on a Saturday, and kinda pish that Old Firm fans never get their home games moved except when they play each other
  22. We've got enough for subs now too Michael Moffat Dan Biggar - Rugby imposter Villages - Robbie Crawford, which brings us on to Chairman John Crawford, leaving his role at Montrose seeing as he's a tiny village doubler.... Crawfordjohn
  23. He slipped AFTER he let the ball go under his foot and lost possession. It wasnt bad luck, it was bad football.
