  1. One of the things that separates Junior from amateur is hospitality you give it out and get it in return, and when players are out from work from first thing in the morning and travelling decent distances to games don't think it was that big an ask . It is also an opportunity to put some much needed coffers into some clubs through their bar area. But you crack on with your deep and meaningful replies..........
  2. Hope there's a cup of tea for the players after the game unlike last week.
  3. Hope they get a new kettle never mind new players. Not even a cup of tea on Wednesday night for the visiting players after the game and being midweek the majority of players came straight from work. Poor show imho.
  4. Not sure about points required but for me the Bens, and Glens will go up along with either Cumbernauld or Rossvale, the latter having to deal with midweek games more than the other three and that will have an impact on them imo.
  5. Report you to who ? You are entitled to say what you want and when you want. As I said "bet you don't even go to the games".
  6. Hope they take all forms of media off you, as your constant ridiculing of the team you allegedly support is becoming tiresome. Bet you don't even go to their games.
  7. No point in blowing this up to something that is not. Circumstances and timings of the circumstances has left the club to be in this position for this season nothing more nothing less. The club is cutting the cloth accordingly with everyone working their socks off. The squad with all due respect is nowhere near good enough to compete with the stronger teams in the Championship . Come the end of the season 95% of players playing with teams become available for next season. Who is not to say that Thistle or clubs in the same position manage to get four or five good players in and unearth a few young diamonds and before you know it the makings of a decent side are in place. This is not something new in Junior football it may well be the first time you've experienced it at Larkhall but ask around most clubs and they will have gone through this at some point or other. Get to the end of the season and go again.
  8. Cheers for that. The left back you like normally plays in a forward role, hence the lack of depth in the squad and with the regular back four in place him and a couple of others wouldn't have to play in a role that stifles their natural game.
  9. Before Saturday Larky had lost five out of the last seven games by a single goal, and in some of these games deserved to get something out of them, however to go to Kilsyth who's home record is exceptional minus a goalkeeper and two out of the back four missing for starters was always a big ask. They do not have any depth in the squad so when a number of players are missing they have players covering these areas and with all due respect jersey fillers making up the team. They competed very well until the penalty followed by a quick third that killed the game and the inevitable collapse happened. Was it a blip ? or a return to the horrors at the start of the season ? If everyone is fit and available then I'm pretty confident it was a blip, albeit not a pleasant one.
  10. Agree it was a penalty although the ref sorted that for you early doors in the 2nd half with the foul a yard out the box. Yes you missed a few chances but what about the one on one Larkall missed two minutes before H/T. All about opinions but the 1st half was deffo not one sided !
  11. Disagree with the 1st half thoughts as I thought Larkall could have went in ahead at half time, but 2nd half they were steamrollered and Kilsyth cut them open at will. Hard enough place to go never mind with a depleted squad. Can see why Kilsyth have a great home record. Confused why there not picking up points away from home though.
  12. I hope that you'd be able to do that also, but depends on who else goes. Some might not have the same reason to go as you do.
  13. I saw the Candy earlier in the season and to be honest didn't think they were any great shakes, however they have added a few players since the start who have obviously improved their team the boy Ferns is one that springs to mind. funnily enough in football teams fortunes change during a season. The man based on his observations and thoughts thinks one team is stronger than another. How dare he !
  14. Cumbernauld are the better footballing side by a distance but parks are getting heavier which is a leveller., but Cumbernauld shade it for me 3-2.
  15. You've obviously not been attending if you are , "Daring to hope worst is past", as anyone who's been at the games would see the difference in both the personnel and performance on the park.
  16. Are you sure you watched the right game ? You got 3 points be thankful for them as your team's no great shakes either.
  17. Can't disagree with what your saying, and imo need around 3 experienced players to be able to compete with the lower half of the league. It is unfortunate that they are trying to build and bleed youngsters in a very competitive and sometimes unforgiven league but there's no doubt they will remain positive and continue to learn on a weekly basis.
  18. Stay positive, In the first fifteen league games last year Larkhall were sitting on 9 points from a possible 45 still an uphill task but not unachievable.
  19. Guilty as charged, my apologies to all, with the exception of the lackey
  20. Your even more pathetic than I thought if that's the case, but every dog has their day. By the way there is an apostrophe between the u and the s as in you's.
  21. What part did you play in it ? Thought as much, pathetic man.
  22. To be fair that wasn't directed at the players at thistle last season imo that is players in general nowadays. Most clubs don't have a bankroller and making ends mate is difficult if not nigh impossible these days. 100 paying punters every fortnight is not going to cover 16 to 18 weekly payments. At least their payments were honoured at Larkhall I can guarantee there'll be a number of players who did not receive what they were due and a number of players who played for nothing. As said previously play for the love of the game and anything else is a bonus.
