  1. yeah the bullet missing ratio really grated on me also. It is something that didn't use to bother me but is now doing so more and more - probably as getting older and start looking for faults in things rather than looking to enjoy ha. But essentially find myself watching more and more action scenes and being completely bored shitless and that is down to the fact that there is no risk involved or threat to the main character. I know you can apply that to pretty much every major film where it is unlikely the protagonist will die half way through but action sequences such as those in the latter Mission Impossibles, Bournes or even the recent James Bonds can still be done well with an injection of risk - though the shoot-out at the end of No time to Die in particular slightly contradicts that. Shooting thousands of bullets that result in at worse an occasional graze reduce every ounce of excitement or thrill.
  2. Johnson electing not to take any action - not at all through being absolutely terrified of his parties' reaction but as the careful strategist of Europe, continuing to carefully assess public health, the science with the needs of business....
  3. The previous troll/clickbait/Sevco/OO/Tory loon considered Patrick Harvie to be a "freak". The latest troll/clickbait/Sevco/OO/Tory loon wants to see more children with lesbian parents. Small but steady progress. Heart warming.
  4. or in other words, happy Xmas Planet Earth
  5. cue the Brexit diehards with the "we all knew it would be a complete shitshow and an economic disaster for the first 180 years but we have managed to take back control". The revisionism multiplies every day. The biggest act of economic suicide by any country in modern times and it is those who support independence to get away from such self serving isolationists that are considered by some as moon-howlers.
  6. This has to be up there also. Certainly one of my sporting highlights of the year:
  7. posted on twitter as one of the best moments in sport this year:
  8. intrigued by this and keen to see where it goes.
  9. Last few years I have taken out NOW TV for a month to get the Scottish games over Xmas as a wee treat. Aware that after doing so, Covid cancellations may scupper this but hey ho. Anyway, told my missus this and first game watching was Hearts v Rangers on Sunday. She takes a passing interest in football - knows 4/5 of the Scottish teams and a few of the "personalities" - as well as trying to watch any Scotland game. Her knowledge is not akin to me say trying to come up with 5 current cricket players or tell you anything about the form of Munster. I then told her yesterday that although there was a league card there were no Scottish league games on Sky/NOW TV this weekend so am free as a bird. She replied, "why do they play each other every week?". I was completely flummoxed by her response and am still struggling with it.....
  10. yet if either of the first two get injured, he very probably will be. Funny that.....
  11. the statistics of the game would probably support it. They tend to be less subjective than your average armchair OF supporter. Why do you think McGregor was Man of the Match? His charm perhaps?
  12. whilst playing "tippy tappy", Hearts had 16 shots at goal, 8 of which were on target. They had 10 corners. We were clearly watching two different games.
  13. Rangers were more clinical but were not the better team. The fact that Hearts dominated possession, created more chances and McGregor voted man of the match would probably give clues to that.
  14. you made claims of lies and then quickly referred to "rumours". When called out to substantiate you fall back to lazy yoon tropes and cliches. Your old iteration was slightly better than that. Your new iteration is less Scott Steiner and more present day Scott Hall.
  15. 8th Dec 2021. Scottish Parliament: On 17 August, we announced the first six pilot projects that were selected to offer free bicycles to school-age children who cannot afford one. The pilots are under way across the country. Since then, a further four pilots have been launched, including a pilot on Shetland and a pilot specialising in the provision of non-standard bikes, which are modified to fit the needs of an individual rider. To date, 242 bikes have been issued, and the pilots have ambitious plans to deliver considerably more this month and beyond. Stormzy .
  16. The limit is about how much alcohol is allowed in your body when driving. This shows in your breath, blood and urine. The same drink can create different levels of alcohol for different people. This depends on: your weight, age, sex and metabolism (the rate your body uses energy) the type of alcohol you drink what you've eaten medication your stress levels
  17. You are the only one mentioning the Old Firm. The podcasters if you bothered to check them out are all Arsenal season ticket holders. It is a very good and very funny podcast if you happened to check it out. But you are clearly not someone to engage with rationally or a poster to take serious. Enjoy your contrary attention seeking posting.
  18. listened to that this morning. All three of them that were on (Davies, Dover and Popoola) clearly rate Tierney and are quite scathing of Arteta and his bizarre substitutions - the roulette/tombola he uses for his second half changes
  19. wtf you talking about. Please try and engage like a normal person.
  20. I am in a union at work but want Scotland to leave the UK. Until I read your point I thought this was fine but you're right - I have no idea how I can reconcile such opposing positions on unions.
