  1. yep - I work in the region, thanks. There are ongoing tensions between Georgia and Russia and there is a "potential fight for existence". I think most will agree that is quite the leap.
  2. a combination of factors: 1. the team generally being in a slump going into the Euros; 2. injuries to key players in the build up; 3. injury to Tierney at the tournament; 4. the second round monkey on back preying too heavily on Clarke's mind in determining how to approach games; 5. the pumping by Germany ensuring Clarke enforced a safety first approach to the remaining games; 6. inflexibility on formation due to wish to maintain a solid defensive shape against Switzerland and Hungary; The team was good enough to progress and an on-form Scotland would comfortably have qualified - would have at least beaten Hungary in my view.
  3. who doesn't hate a former player coming back as manager?
  4. In terms of set-up, approach, own demeanour etc etc I fail to see what Moyes will offer that will be different from Clarke. If Clarke were to decide to step down, and probably this a good time for him to do so, then appointing Moyes would be akin to asking Clarke to sign a new contract after resigning.
  5. I get being cagey for the first 45 mins but after sussing out their game plan we should have changed our shape and made our changes at half time or shortly afterwards. That is the main criticism and one where there is not credible answer am afraid. Saying all that, the last 10 mins was some viewing.....
  6. if that had been the Hungarian guy, VAR and ref would have been in no doubt it would have been penalty based on his posture/fall/training/theatrics.....
  7. If you can't quite justify talking about England in the opening moments of the build up to the final Scotland group game, then let's go for the next best thing - ask everyone to comment on the number of minutes Scottish players currently get in the Greatest League in the World (c).
  8. if they have onboard wifi, then will just come down to strength of signal and ability to stream. VPN takes up a bit more of your bandwidth. Good luck!
  9. If a Euro/short-distance flight unlikely to have inflight entertainment system. If a longer haul or middle-distance, I haven't seen BA including Live TV in their set-up. Emirates for example have live sports TV option and then its a gamble as to which live sporting event they show. In-flight WIFI more likely but again depends on whether short or long haul. All long haul have now BA wi-fi option but have found its fine for scrolling but not streaming. Short-haul, their Airbus fleet have it but not all the fleet fully kitted out yet. In short, and assuming you are coming back from Germany (?), I would say its more likely that you will have access to on-board wifi that can at least let you access live score feeds. Hope you are lucky enough to get a slightly better solution than that but guess better than nothing!
  10. The downside of that, is that many of them are currently on here with expert views and opinions (mainly about the mistreatment of the great Shankland)
