They probably didn't sign new deals because there is no clear path to the first team at Celtic. We had a similar issue in the past. Every big team were trying to steal Turnbull from Motherwell at one point but he signed pro forms there because plenty youngsters were getting a chance at the time.

I think I saw a Scott Burns post the other day that said no incomings until we get some folk out the door. Vinny and Or Daria most likely but no movement on it yet.

Yeah I'm aware we were struggling in the early 2000's but we cut out cloth, played youngsters (who at times weren't near the standard) and recruited from the old League One. As far as I'm aware, nobody chucked money in to keep us going.
