Boring? Here's the previous managers results this calendar year: There was nothing boring about it. It was also our third successive year of falling below expectations although Hibs budget was closer to ours than Killie and Motherwell.

Sounds like he's a hard working physical presence who has great hold up play. I'd say that's what we really required at the end of last season. Hendry tried to do all of that but wasn't as strong as this guy looks and Ramirez is a bit taller too (based on transfermrkt.com). If this guys gets 10 goals but is a vital part of a team that creates and scores goals then I'd be very happy. It's obviously an extreme example as he's top level but basically the role Firminho plays at Liverpool. Send him a tweet. Seems to be liking any link with himself and Aberdeen at the minute! Regarding Rangers fans and England it's a mixed bag for me. Some are proper tartan army bams, some are Scottish and support England and some are the type who are ok with England winning if we aren't there. The supporting England thing is an easy to stick to beat them with as it always gets a reaction.

I think in the main your arguments are with merit. I've also seen us sign plenty players that looked like they should be good and turn out to be hopeless. I'm hoping there's a couple of exciting names to be announced soon. Cormack may be in love with himself but I don't think he's an idiot. If this first window is terrible then he'll have to deal with a lot of criticism and I'm not sure he's equipped for that.

Is it non proper though? The US league system is completely different. Is there anything to say it would be any worse than our Championship level of football? Plenty of Dons fans are upset we missed out on Shaun Rooney. Whilst I don't expect this guy to be as good is he really playing at that much of a lesser level than Rooney was last season?

Well yeah, that's the point. Ramsay can't play every game though. So we're taking in a RB on peanuts who the manager knows. If it doesn't go well then he goes back to Atlanta.

I'm pretty sure if we signed a first team level RB we'd have everyone raging that Ramsay wouldn't see much action.
