I mean, I'd probably take it if it's true but I'd honestly prefer him signing an extension and selling him next summer, provided he continues in the same run of form of course.

I'd certainly take it if true.

I have been very surprised at how well he has done for us but every ounce of me thinks it's been a freak season and his goals won't be the same next season.

  2. I totally agree with the previous posts that it seems everything is being done as it should be.

    I also look forward to the WS vote email where the details are described as;

"An American Family wants to join our family, they will provide some financial support in return for a large percentage of the club." With some added vagueness around how to answer a yea/no question correctly.

Also, the laws need to catch up with technology. Make them simpler. Offside - You are only offside if there’s a clear visible gap between attacker and defender.

There's the issue though. You'd still need to draw lines to check there's a gap of any sort. In theory it works but with technology it doesn't. Wenger wants to bring in the gap idea. But with VAR it won't speed anything up at all imo.

Like @Busta Nutwith Kelly, @thisGRAEME really has it on record that he doesn't fancy Tierney. Fair enough - everyone has their views which is fine.

I think Tierney can definitely offer us something, and said the same last time this came up. He's a great option attacking behind the striker which is one of our main plays. But, Kettlewell seems to favour players who can do a couple of jobs...even if they aren't particularly good at either

e.g. Paton can play that attacking role fine but has no real end product, and 'do a job' a bit further back but isn't brilliant at it. Tierney is probably a better attacking option but couldn't really fill in anywhere else and isn't particularly 'robust'. See also - Stuart McKinstry

I think I'm with @thisGRAEME on the Tierney isn't for me train.

Apart from one cracker his shooting is trademark young Jamie Murphy chip into the keepers arms stuff. For someone with 'attacking intent' I've never been less confident in a player lining up a shot.

No harm to him but if Tierney is the answer then the question is based around the Championship.

I'm not saying Kettlewell is totally blameless for last night/the goalkeeping situation but losing one league game in two months with a goalie who chucks one in most weeks... impressive?

It's a strange scenario that sums up this strange season.

I've also got this feeling that Kettlewell will end up being our manager for years to come, no idea why I think this but just get that vibe.

They need to change the offside law. Tight calls like that should always be goals imo. I preferred it when there had to be “daylight” for it to be offside.

The issue with "daylight ruling" and VAR now though is that the time to make decisions and draw lines will always be there now.

That's why Wegner's offside idea is doomed to fail too, as it won't change the way the games stopped and checked, still will be a mm on or off which I don't think is in the spirit of the game.

  7. Given a gift by Aberdeen in the first 25 mins and wasted it.

Your standard Liam Kelly half punch giving away a goal from a cross is no surprise.

Starting to really annoy me how bad Butcher is at fouling. Did the same against Celtic to give away a penalty when he's not even directly involved in the play.

Holding on as soon as it went 1-3 is embarrassing. Think we were lucky to walk away with a point all things considered.

  8. Watching players absolutely fumble and crumble at the table is by far the greatest part of this show.

All Ross had to do was sit tight for one day and he couldn't do it. Zero tactical awareness. Running with the vengeance for mum straight off the bat was crazy.

Harry has played an excellent game, I'm surprised because until just before Paul went he just parroted whatever anyone else said, I wonder if he's been coached along by producers a bit because he has seemingly went from not having a scooby to maestro.

With these shows I think wanting people to not win is my enjoyable. Zak would be unbearable if he won.
