    THIS...

Quite the opposite. After his 1st season Gallacher was lauded as our best player and a great signing.  Q a few saying well I never accepted him.  A man who assaulted someone with a baseball bat and served time in prison.

I respect everyone's views and I knew the mere mention of Mackay would prompt a response. What Mackay did was wrong. Plain and simple. I am sure everyone who is naysayer has led an exemplary life until now and made no mistakes.

Malky Mackay has shown himself to be a racist, sexist, out of touch person on multiple occasions going by those texts/emails. That's not making a mistake that's a core personality trait. And that's only the texts we've seen I'm sure he'll have said countless more over and above.

You don't need to have led an exemplary life to call out his behavior, and whilst people are due a second chance for me that person's second chance should not be at a community centric club like Motherwell FC.

Just binged both seasons of this, loved it, how can you not love Ted!

Roy fucking Kent is also a legend!

Nates transformation into a wee dick had me shouting at the telly!

It's quite interesting as if you rewatch it he's always been a wee dick and the signs are there from first episode.

Really should have saved the video for that the last time I found it. Pure sensible soccer stuff, found a glitch and exploited it, then someone turned the game difficulty up to the middle level the next game and he was fucked.

    There we are

Love that he gets manhandled in every celebration because he's so wee.

Did I imagine this wrong or was the first thing he did not to hit a free kick from 40+ yards that clipped the bar?

Also wiki has him down for 10 appearances for us. I always thought he played that game and one more and that was it.

I hope we don’t sign Blair Spittal because I think he’s rubbish. I also hope we don’t convince Lamie to stay, half a good season (where we were still leaking goals all over the shop) doesn’t make him suddenly a good player. Maybe I’m still haunted by the COVID season. You can put a cat in an oven, but that don't make it a biscuit.

Agree with regards the Lambie stuff. Yes he's improved but at one stage he was creating enough errors for his own feature length bloopers dvd.

Hopefully see a few more defensive changes over the summer.

If the front row has been taken out, are they actually removing that for good?  If so, presumably everyone effectively gets shifted up one, in which case what happens to the poor buggers who used to be on the back row... are they standing from now on? 😄

Only Row A affected. Row A will be gone and season ticket holders reallocated to other seats of their choice that are available.

I might be mistaken, but in the first Lasley goal video, when County had a corner just after he scored I believe the commentator said "what a save by Hollis".

    That can't be right.

More likely "what, a save? By Hollis!"

Edit - Just looked up his stats and he only played 31 matches in his whole professional career?

  7. As someone else mentioned I think Scotland is the only country in the top 25 European Leagues that doesn't have VAR (or due to have it).

It's part of modern football. Time to move with the times instead of another moan about the glory days and how it used to be.

I'm for VAR and think it's a good time to join on after a few seasons for other leagues to sort out the mess it was to begin with. As discussed it should be there to check for any clear and obvious errors and offsides. If it takes a minute or 2 then fine. I'd rather have the right decision made slowly than the wrong one quickly.

People not celebrating a goal as much I don't get either. Unless there's been a clear foul why wouldn't you celebrate as normal. Plus you have the added enjoyment of a VAR sometimes taking a goal away from the opposition to celebrate after their initial celebration which can be a bonus.

He reminds me a lot of Craigan. I think his reading of the game and positioning (most of the time) are excellent, but he's a much better player off the ball than on it.

Agree with this. Someone once quoted Craigan as "He's a good footballer until he thinks he's a footballer." And it's the same with Sol. I'd like to think he'll be easily coached under Alexander.

Overall I thought the game wasn't quality but it was entertaining enough. Sheilds should have won that game for us. I just don't see him doing it at this level I don't think he has the clinical finish and he seems to always miss the pass through.

VV should have went off and probably would have had it not been Aberdeen.

The Hayes tackle wasn't a red card but all should have been avoided by Walsh blowing his whistle well before the advantage was clearly heading to a 50/50.

The two examples that spring to mind would be the post-thunderdome Robinson team where the league was called early due to COVID, and McCall's (final?) season where we scraped into third on Craig Reid day.

Both of those teams had people moaning like f**k about how bad the football was and questioning how the hell we'd managed to finish so high up the league.

It's funny I said this the other day when discussing that clip, but actually it was when we scraped into 2nd place which makes it even funnier.

  10. Great result and excellent to see Van Veen hitting a double.

Would have liked to have been there in person but didn't win in the ballot.

Football fans are mental. Imagine having a 6+ tweet conversation with our CEO saying the ballot was rigged by the staff but I'm not naming names. How Alan Burrows remains so professional, offering to let the guy come and see the process etc, is impressive.
