  1. Perhaps every person is a bit much so apologies for that. 90% seems about fair and reasonable. You can donate your £5 to charity as both car suggestions are wrong too.
  2. Estate drivers with full facial hair and glasses are not only cnuts but should also have their hard drives periodically checked too. That is all.
  3. I bared my soul on the very same subject yesterday!
  4. We need to have a word. I can't get through one.....
  5. Miles late to this party but I'm getting to the end of Series 1 and really enjoying it.
  6. Definitely. Other than spending 40 hours a week with them and getting on fine in a work setting I have little in common with the majority of them outwith of work. I wasn't the only one who didn't go either. For me, the circumstances and motivations for attending these things change as time passes.
  7. Should I be feeling guilty for not going to my recent works Christmas night out? I think I get on fine with the vast majority of my colleagues but the thought of socialising with them, the inevitable work chat and office tittle tattle that undoubtedly follows fills me with dread to be perfectly honest. I just think I'm better off without it. Even typing this makes me look like a proper weirdo. I'm not honest.
  8. Fouls committed on or near the touchline / byline result in a free kick being taken a minimum of 5 yards from where it should be, at all levels of the game, the world over. Annoys me far more than it should and this seemed the right thread to announce it to the world.
  9. At our level there is loads of luck, there has to be when you're shopping in the market the majority of the teams are. It's probably somewhere in the middle of forward planning and luck because of the timescales involved and the factors making players available. If Hartley doesn't get emptied at Hartlepool then Hamilton or Murray probably are still South of the Border and Raith don't have these two. Hypothetically their next two options might've bombed and then they're midtable or bottom half. It can and does happen. You can plan ahead to a point but as a manager you can easily be out of a job after two transfer windows with the best laid plans in the paper shredder. Callum Smith for sure would've been earmarked by Ian Murray from his time at Airdrie and that would've played a huge part in him going to Raith than a team like us, if indeed we were even in for him.
  10. The comparisons with ourselves and Raith are fair enough when you consider the size of the clubs, support etc I have a feeling that the stars are just aligning for them this season, new board and a squad that is now getting results. They have the core of a squad that's been coming together gradually, they had arguably one of the strongest midfields last season with the likes of Brown, Stanton, Easton and Connolly. Players like Vaughan and Gullan, injuries permitting, should be quality players at our level too. Throw in the additions of Murray and Hamilton coming on the back of Hartley failing at Hartlepool, Mullin coming in on a 3 year deal, Smith who was one of League ones top players last season, and Byrne coming in on loan have all bolstered them greatly. I work beside a couple of Raith fans and last season there were big question marks about Murray's tactics and selections last season. Suddenly he's turned it round, he probably doesn't truly know why or how. Bringing in the likes of Frederiksen, Goncalves, Connell and Akio shows that they don't always get transfers right either. Its just coming together at the right time for them, like it was for Arbroath the season before last, you can't truly explain how or why, like us last season it just is. We'll see if they run out of steam as the season goes on and when injuries or suspensions kick in. There's no reason why the likes of Falkirk, Dunfermline or ourselves couldn't do similar in the coming seasons.
  11. Defender not watching the ball, attacking player falling over. I love football in 2023.
  12. I wonder what people's short, medium and long term ambitions for the club are. Was last season's 2nd place a Dipo inspired one off? Did it create false hope, especially with him leaving? With our current crowds and infrastructure how high should we be realistically aiming. Have we indeed reached our ceiling? Genuinely interested in what people think as these go a long way to fuel daily outpouring of emotion and frustrations on here.
  13. That's fair enough, I wasn't aware of that at all but it was 3 years ago and we're still having the same conversations. The fact that it requires 11 of 12 teams to vote something like that through just emphasises the point that it's a closed shop and nothing more. How is that conducive to a positive, thriving league system? I've often thought the hard part is getting promoted out of the Championship, is staying in the top league comparably easier with the relative increase in prize money? You guys would be more qualified to answer that one. Genuinely interested in finding opinions on that one.
  14. While agreeing wholeheartedly with you on all of this, let's not forget how inherently unfair the Premiership playoff structure is in favour of the Premiership teams. Something that could yet save your team in just a few months. People in glass houses maybe? Hopefully your board will be in a position to lobby for a fairer change. Perhaps not.
  15. To the unacceptable side of Ayrshire, your team did you all proud over 100 minutes. Enjoy your night. Rivalries aside, f**k the OF.
  16. Scott Brown, Boyd and McFadden being sponsored by the Turkish Tourist Board. About 3 natural strands of hair between them.
  17. Driving in the car today and Liam McLeod gives some score updates, and says at one point: "game of the day at Pittodrie, meanwhile back here at Ibrox........." Liam knows the score. Aberdeen v Hearts is more than worthy of a full match commentary on the national channel? Nope let's go to Ibrox instead........
  18. Chick reported the 2nd Dunfermline scorer as Craig Wighton. The fact he had been substituted 9 minutes before the goal apparently went unnoticed by him. Surely a basic function of reporting on a match? I think he's slowly losing, whatever he had to begin with, week after week. Symptomatic of the need for new blood and a fresh approach all round.
  19. A summary of today's intro: MacIntyre rightly talking up the newsworthy stories of Aberdeen and Motherwell both being in crisis, then says "today's commentary Rangers v Dundee". Yawn. Rinse and repeat.
  20. Scraping the guest barrel today I think. Filling in near the end with some absolute baffling stuff. Does Tam not like Shout by Lulu? He's never mentioned it before. 2/10
  21. Surprised, you're surprised. Amazed they're not devoting more air time to Rangers and just providing updates from the Aberdeen game. Somebody really needs to have a word with Steven Thompson that when he's trying to describe a player using his pace he should avoid at all costs saying "the player opens his legs". He said it twice in the same sentence to describe Sima.
