  1. Scott Brown, Boyd and McFadden being sponsored by the Turkish Tourist Board. About 3 natural strands of hair between them.
  2. Driving in the car today and Liam McLeod gives some score updates, and says at one point: "game of the day at Pittodrie, meanwhile back here at Ibrox........." Liam knows the score. Aberdeen v Hearts is more than worthy of a full match commentary on the national channel? Nope let's go to Ibrox instead........
  3. Chick reported the 2nd Dunfermline scorer as Craig Wighton. The fact he had been substituted 9 minutes before the goal apparently went unnoticed by him. Surely a basic function of reporting on a match? I think he's slowly losing, whatever he had to begin with, week after week. Symptomatic of the need for new blood and a fresh approach all round.
  4. A summary of today's intro: MacIntyre rightly talking up the newsworthy stories of Aberdeen and Motherwell both being in crisis, then says "today's commentary Rangers v Dundee". Yawn. Rinse and repeat.
  5. Scraping the guest barrel today I think. Filling in near the end with some absolute baffling stuff. Does Tam not like Shout by Lulu? He's never mentioned it before. 2/10
  6. Surprised, you're surprised. Amazed they're not devoting more air time to Rangers and just providing updates from the Aberdeen game. Somebody really needs to have a word with Steven Thompson that when he's trying to describe a player using his pace he should avoid at all costs saying "the player opens his legs". He said it twice in the same sentence to describe Sima.
  7. I probably shouldn't bite but I will. You talk about debate and discussion which is pretty laughable given the fact that anyone who has a glass half full attitude on here gets shouted down immediately. Even the tone of your quoted post shows the general undertone of responses and feeling. It's not debate if everyone on here thinks the same. Everybody has different opinions on the general direction we're heading in.
  8. It's a penalty and absolutely should be, but no mention of Goldson's pathetic dive or Lammers looking straight at, then stepping into, the Aberdeen defenders run to block him off. As worrying as it is predictable is the lack of consistency in these refereeing decisions. If we're saying shirt pulls in the box are penalties give them to every team, not just Rangers 1 down at Pittodrie in injury time. If it results in 4 penalties a game for a few weeks tough but please do it. As it stands this game is slowly killing itself from the inside out.
  9. So by your definition those critical every week about pretty much everything aren't "big" fans (whatever that actually means). Its all about results and come the end if the season, what people will ultimately be judged on. Style and substance less so. We should've finished 5th last season according to a lot on here, we'll be in and around there again imo.
  10. In some folks eyes that clearly doesn't matter. Criticise the substitutions when we get beat, fair enough. Criticise the substitutions when we win, not so fair. If we did have over 20 efforts on goal and 10 on target, I'll take that in every game between now and the end of the season.
  11. Dundee Utd fans starting to question Jim Goodwin, Arbroath fans squaring off to management and players at full time. Folk are very much entitled to their opinions but its what the majority of football fans do the world over.
  12. I was always amazed that a Hearts or Hibs didn't move for Shankland when he moved to Dundee Utd on a free. We should always be grateful when you see players of his ilk come and go when with us. I'm sure he'll always be grateful for his time with us and that'll always be something as a club and support that we can be rightly proud of. When you see him playing and scoring for the National team it makes you appreciate the leap in performance that he's made from his time with us. You look at his goals and overall performances with us and his finishes were usually cleanly struck and on the back of good movement in the box. The clues were definitely there for bigger clubs to take a chance on him sooner than they did. Kick on Sir Lawrence.
  13. The fact you're even trying to gauge what an average level is proves that it's rife. Just maybe not in Paisley.
  14. Never got it either and yet it happens so often at all levels of the professional game. You'd think some would be staying back after training to work on it.
  15. It has the potential to be a sequel to what felt like monthly games against Israel from not so long ago.
  16. Things that annoy you more than they should: Professional football players who can't get shots from outside the box on target.
  17. Good strike, but still a poor goal to concede
  18. Taylor's forward pass as part of the build up was very impressive. Kick on.
  19. Does Scott Brown go to Turkey for his holidays?
  20. I'd totally agree with that but it's going to take a brave referee to wave play on when a player is down rolling about. Would love to see it happen, the old saying if you're truly hurt you're not rolling about is 99.99% true. I would love to see it and hopefully it would stop players "buying" free kicks as the commentators describe it.
  21. We're lacking any attacking quality in the final third. The number of backward passes near the end of the half was down to a lack of options for the player with the ball.
