  1. Got to agree with much of the above regarding fitness not being as much of a difference nowadays. Full time players will always be better prepared, having longer to work on and focus on the next game though, and be properly relaxed going into it.
  2. Because the incident I referred to was was front page news at the time, I have no idea what you are talking about???
  3. Correct, easy to be the big man when hundreds of others on your side, but when challenged, proved to be a shite- bag!
  4. And your pal chickened it. Wallace battered the last guy he had a square go with in a stadium car park.
  5. Agree with much of above. Anderson, Vaughn (if fit) of Raith, Crighton of Airdrie, Steves of Montrose are all players I'd have a Bayview, more than happy with our squad though. 3rd quarter slightly easier than the 2nd on paper for us. More if the same please!
  6. Few Raith fans don't sound too confident on here due to injuries. Think we should just go at raith s fragile defence, that tactic has worked well for us the last couple of seasons. Always a bit worried the pace of Armstrong & Vaughn would catch us on the counter if we did, but they both seem to be missing for this one. Anderson has definitely steadied the Raith defence though, will he be 100%? Don't know how you could say we're a dirty team. (you finished with 9 men against Airdrie!) We try to play football, but we're no one trick pony and can fight if need be. For that comment alone, I hope we smash yous. 2-0 Fife
  7. Seem to remember Shire rested much of their team for the play offs. We were expected to run up a cricket score. Was sitting near their fans & they sung the whole match, shame to see them lose league status. I only recorded the presentation, would've been nice to see their goal again, was a cracking free kick if I recall. Keep up the good work though. If anyone's got the game, maybe they like to share?
  8. While on the subject of EFtv 's utterly excellent highlights, package, I've watched every game, since I became aware of them, however I don't think I ever found the one of the game where we were presented with the Div 3 championship at home to East Stirlingshire. I did wonder if it was something to do with the SPFL being there and they maybe filmed it? Was there ever any anywhere to be found? It was a sunny day and we had those flaming pyrotechnics, so surely hell wouldn't have frozen over that day!
  9. Clyde beating Airdrie & Dumbarton winning at Raith, both with a bit to spare, 2 results I didn't see coming, but goes to show no one can be taken lightly in this division. Great couple of weeks for the Fife though. How did Church get on today?
  10. Pretty amazing that Forfar enjoyed a19 point turn around on us between now and the end of the season. To put that onto contex, that's the difference between us and Stranraer now!
  11. Correct. Boyd came in on a short term deal that's suited both parties & scored a couple of important goals when we struggled for forwards. Duggan I've always felt is hot or cold. Could look disinterested, then the following week score a double and be the hero. I console my self with the fact that if he could do it every week, he wouldn't be at East Fife!
  12. Church will likely be the natural replacement, then Pat Slat back for the Rovers game.
  13. Didn't think they looked too great this time last season either.
  14. I'd rather not see another man's tackle, if it's all the same to you!
  15. His side have just drawn a blank in 4 out of the last 5 league games, 3 of which were at home & been pumped out of the cup by a diddy team after being 3-1 up. Yeah, he sounds just what you need. Last night it was an experienced name for this "Big job" yous were after!
  16. I'm in k52 My son's season ticket is L65, I'm usually either side of him depending on whether my dad is there also. So I was closer to the Bayview Bongos!!!
  17. You must sit near me then. As annoying it was at times, fair play they kept it up for the whole match, better than the sporadic bugle sounds we had years ago. Take it they've got those 20 seats or so, the 2 rows at the top right of the stand? Lets hope they keep coming, the club has really built up a young following the last couple of years.
  18. 44 goals in 71 appearances is phenomenal in any league, welcome to Bayview, Lewis.
  19. BBC website has it down as 1182, thought it would've been higher that?
  20. Looks Nordic, played in Sweden, is he the Finnish article?
  21. At least you've no got to pay for the bridge anymore!
  22. Have to actually agree here. Before 2016, Hibs were always the bridesmaids, never got any luck, lost numerous cup finals, replays the lot, hadn't won the cup in 114 years. Lots of people now think that Dundee should be seen as the new unlucky team, (no Scottish cup since 1910). However, for the reasons above, 1997 cup final loss to Killie, a play off final loss also to Killie, losing another cup final to Inverness, and having the misfortune of Hearts, Hibs & Rangers in the Championship at the same time as yourselves when you had a decent team of young players that came through the ranks, I do feel a degree of sympathy towards the Bairns.
