Time to break the 'B' team curse, we've been drawn at home to Banks o' Dee in the Scottish cup 2nd round. -

Turgid first half, second, the home keeper kept them in it, Spartans fans next to me convinced they should've had a penalty all the same. Excellent 3 points the day, hopefully Murdoch injury nothing other than a strain, top of the league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

If what people are saying that there's only one place left in the squad, it has to be a striker. Its not ideal, but we do have options in defence. -

I'm quick to criticise, so it's only fair I complement the team on last week. Had we let Peterhead go 7 points ahead if us even at this stage, we'd have found it hard to catch them. Hopefully this result will make others take notice. I don't like Miller & McManus together but we got away with it on Saturday. Miller won everything, Newton has been a revelation this season & no ones mentioned Norey, I thought he looked good when he was on the park. Austin worked his socks off. Really liked the look of Todd, wasn't sure if he'd be taking Troutens place, but managed to get them both out there. Todd looked quick, confident and got stuck in, an all action debut, with a booking, bleeding nose & hooked before bring Sent off thrown in! Still think we need a striker & Easton will be a big loss for the 12 weeks he's rumoured to be missing. Expect Spartans to start showing there true league form now the league cup campaign is over, just hope they are still suffering a cup hangover tomorrow! Mon the Fife! -

I know what you mean, I've long wondered why the attendance figures seems much lower than was there. Last week I would've said 628 was the amount in the lounge! -

Growing up, Bobby Geddes was always considered unfortunate to be at his peak when Leighton and Goram were at theirs. I always thought Killie's Paul Wright should've made the squad. Regularly he was the top Scottish scorer in the mid to late 90s Premier league. -

Looking at the line up for an upcoming episode of Top of the Pops from 1979. There's the excellently named 'Randy Van Warmer'. Yes, that is his actual name!

Sorry to hear that, the guys had a terrible time of it. Best of luck, but you do fear if he can come back from a 2nd major injury like that. -

Great draw for us, as we usually beat them! Seriously though, should be a decent crowd, espcially with it being a Saturday & an unexpected cash injection. It'll be the first time I've made an effort for a Challenge cup tie since our trip to Dublin! -

Not a bad prediction, think Shepherd would be a better shout for the first 60/70 minutes to run their defence ragged though. Fingers crossed we have a 25 goalaseason trialist/loanee on the teamsheet tomorrow, ach, I'm allowed to dream. -

I'm glad someone else is seeing the same as me regarding Nathan Austin. Injuries and age mean he's lost his pace, so he was never going to be the same player as in hid younger days. Nowadays though he half heartedly makes it look like he's trying to win every header and doesn't appear to be interested in making himself available for the ball. Contrast with Elgin's number 9 today, who maybe isn't the greatest player but always made himself available for a pass and still pressed in injury time when they were 2 goals up. I agree we won't be promoted with only Austin & Shepherd up front. Striker needed now! -
