Life on Marrs?

Who we keep/bring in may depend on whether we are building a team for the next 3 years, or just for next season. Personally, we need big changes. Darren Young & Greig McDonald were far too loyal and didn't freshen up the squad players became too comfy. Fleming, does he have another year in him? We did get promoted with a 40 year old Jim Butter between the sticks before. If he decides to retire it might be better in the long term, if we can find a 25 year old released from a full time club though. Murdoch, been a good servant to the club, but must be one of the better paid though. I'd keep him myself. Newton & Walls. Would like to keep a pathway up to the first team & certainly don't ever like to see 'one of our own' turn up in the opposition ranks. Not sure Campbell rates either and has already said he's no room for sentimentality. Newton looked good until that Bonnyrigg debacle. Easton. Would keep the big man, need to have the right guy alongside him though. Miller & McManus, would probably keep one, not both. More likely to be Miller Trouten, been the player we thought we were signing under new manager, would keep, if he's not retiring. Healy, Austin, Docherty, Already signed up. Docherty was one of our better players first half of season, since he's been out of team, looks average at best now though. Slattery, Decent, honest guy, but has the manager seen enough of him to give him another deal? Doubt it Nicol, Have liked the odd 5-10 mins I've seen from him, but successive managers haven't given him a chance, so that tells you he'll be away. Shiavone, would let go Shepherd, not going to be popular this, but I'm not sure what he brings. Yes he runs about and puts in plenty of effort, but there's no end product, I'm becoming frustrated with him, time for a change in my opinion. Hamilton, Lyon & Blaney, will return to parent clubs, Hamilton hasn't been anything special, would like the other 2 back, but I suspect Partick & Hibs will have plans for them at league 1 level? Comerford, can't see him staying, manager won't have seen him play Page, no, already have an experienced, slow, injury prone centre back in Easton Ramsay, Murray, will we see more of them over the next 2 games? Beveridge back up 'keeper, Hambrook, who knows? Might have an idea of the manager's future plans when we see who plays against Clyde & Spartans.

No, I stand by my post. I will give credit that it could've been more today, Bonnyrigg adapted to the conditions, we didn't & your 18 very nearly scored a goal of the season candidate, leading to the 3rd goal. But are you seriously telling me you are a good team? What on earth is that number 9, he's not a footballer for sure!

A good, enjoyable game today. Everyone in an East Fife jersey performed well today & we played some lovely stuff. Best game from Healy this season, his cross for the opener, sublime. Young lyons looks a decent player. Pity we couldn't cut the deficit on Spartans all the same.

A terraced area behind the sea end goals similar to Peterhead/Forfar & the club shop located somewhere in the stadium might well improve the matchday experience, in the short term. Another idea I'd like would be covering up the seats when not in use. Would stop them getting dirty & anymore faded. All the top flight clubs had seat covers during the covid seaso,. might be good advertising if we could get sponsor's logos on them, lesser games you could leave some on the away end, better than rows of empty seats. Longer term though, I'm hoping with the rail link, the area might become more a commuter town for people who work in Edinburgh. Since the power station was demolished, many a time during a dull game, I've looked across Largo bay & thought it's not the worst view in the world (often spoilt by the football!). My thoughts on the stadium would be in the next 10/15 years look to be selling up the current ground for housing & moving to somewhere entirely new, especially if like before the new ground was paid for in the deal. A stadium similar to Stirling Albion's, maybe? It's not like we've any emotional attatchment where we are.

Missed that one too, was on my honeymoon at the time. Remember thinking it was a wind up when I asked a New York barman for the East Fife score.

Making my first trip to Spartans, since a Scottish cup tie at the old City Park about 30 years ago. Is there a cash turnstile Ainslie Park? Also, am I correct in saying my 9 year old son is free entry?

Dunsy can do no wrong in my eyes. Will forever be seen as a hero by East Fife, after his 92nd minute winner against Raith. Seriously though, looks a good signing for league 2. All the best to him.

Does anyone know if we need to get tickets in advance for Spartans, or can we just pay cash on the day? Ticket site says £15 for adults, but no mention of kids.
