  1. Congratulations on sealing a Play off place. I know 3rd place is still up for grabs, but with our record against Dumbarton, we are probably better off taking or chances against Clyde.

With the potential of 4 games in 2 weeks coming up, next week against Forfar, might be a chance to give some fringe players an opportunity & to wrap others in cotton wool & rest them.

    Jamie Hamill confirmed sacked

Can't say I'm surprised. When we beat Stenny 7-0, Campbell Money was gone soon after. Don't like to see anyone lose their job, everything that could've gone wrong for Stranraer yesterday did. Hope you can pick yourselves up from this.

  3. It's GGGGGGRRRRRR88888!

Got to echo much of what was previously said. What a change from last time at home to Stranraer, after that I was trying to find the relegation play off date for my diary & thankfully didn't post anything in my semi drunken state on here!

Today, we should've been about 4-0 up at half-time, I thought with Scullion's kicks bearly reaching the halfway line, there must be a stronger wind than it looked, that along with our profligacy in front of goal, I thought it may come back to bite us. When the sending off happened, everything changed, & I felt we'd go on to win this about 5-0!

Second half Aaron Brown, who I felt looked a decent player last time around went off injured after an industrial tackle by Murdoch & if they had a sub keeper, might have replaced Scullion, who appeared hurt after his unfortunate og. What with other results going our way, everything really fell into place today. Thanks Cosmic Joe for answering the question, I could remember a couple of 7-0s.

Fair play to the Stranraer fans who made that long treck, everything that could've went wrong did for you guys.

    If Carlsberg did home games....

The Kebab is correct. We are essentially in relegation form, both sides at the bottom of the league have handed us our arse in recent weeks and from what I hear our dressing room isn't in the best of moods. Add to the fact we have a complete loser of a manager who has never contested a play off final before, things don't look good.

Ordinarily, heading into the play offs in poor form is a recipe for disaster.

However, you have the luxury of being able to rest players from now until then, that the others won't. Could prove crucial.

I’m coming to the game tomorrow to tick off New Bayview on my list. What’s the best way to get to the ground from Edinburgh, The St Andrews bus? Is there a decent bar near the ground?

    Looking forward to it.

    Thanks

x60 from Edinburgh bus station at 12.20 will get you into Leven bus station at 14.00.

10 min walk to ground from there, plenty of time to get a pint in the lounge upstairs at the stadium. Club recommends you purchase your ticket online beforehand. Enjoy your day.

  6. Twice ive seen stirling. The first time without carrick & they looked ordinary.

Today, he seemed the difference. Im judging this on just 2 games though & they're top of the table and odds in for the title for a reason.

First half striling the better side, second was more even. Cant fault fife for effort today & draw a fair result.

Not been to forthbank for about 20 years. Nice set up, all the best in your seemingly enevitable promotion!

Was worried that with this huge crowd & our desire to go to the cricket ground pre match, I might not get in. Fears further compounded by the delayed kick off.

Glad that extra stand with 4 fans in it was necessary!

Personally, I thought we were better the first half, we were on top the whole time, but without taking advantage of this, you worry itll cone back to bite us. That opportunity at the end of the first half, clawed off the line and then against the outside of the post on another night wouldve seen us in level at the break. Elgin looked more compact the second. Deserved win though. Fair play to any elgin fans making the way down on a friday night.

Great atmosphere, seemed a great crowd too. Section A never stopped, hopefully more Friday games in the future.

  9. Looking forward to a Friday night game myself. Nightmare for Elgin players and fans though. I remember we tried to experiment with this some years ago, mustve been around 1997-1998, as I was working in a job then, when I didnt get a saturday off, so it meant i was able to attend, QOS seems to ring a bell.

Great that we can get the Scotland game, fair play to whoever's idea this is. Both Fife & Scotland to win 2-0.
