  1. I’ve learned not to read too much into Davidsons pre match interviews when it comes to injuries nor to assume that if someone is in the training photos (or not) then they will/won’t be in the squad. FWIW I expect Dom to back, but not Jack Thompson. Jack Thompson has been injured for a while and we have more options at centre half now so expect him to be back in midfield going forward which is good.
  2. Because Annan have an event on in their social club/building on Saturday afternoon that they have sold tickets for.
  3. Fair play to Morton. Framing him for a drugs bust so he can get a gross misconduct contract termination.
  4. Instead of just moving the kick off forward an hour like most clubs, Annan and Queen’s Park have inexplicably moved the cup game to the Friday night. Who does this actually benefit? A handful of folk travelling to Croatia on the Saturday morning?
  5. Pretty sure it’s a tinpot version of the games that won’t involve Hampden. Scotstoun for athletics I think
  6. Happy to be through but that was a tough watch. We looked a much poorer team without Shaun Welsh and if that was Liam Mcleish auditioning for more first team minutes then I’m sorry to say he failed spectacularly against a struggling league 2 team. Rudden listed as a sub but nowhere to be seen?
  7. When Rudden went off you saw what he brings to the team in terms of holding the ball up and linking up with Thomas and others. Mcleish has good pace and is fine chasing balls over the top etc but we struggled to make the ball stick in the second half. If we are targeting a loan striker (which hopefully we are) would like it to be someone who can offer that.
  8. So the Edinburgh City game is on the Sunday for unspecified reasons. Saw someone suggest that Scotland might be training there on the Saturday…….meaning we still have to live up to our side of the “Hampden deal”
  9. Being out of Hampden for at least that long feels almost inevitable. Even well organised, well funded construction projects can over run and Rangers are neither of those things right now! I don’t know what point it becomes an official “safety issue” if potentially large numbers of fans try to watch the game from the hill in the car park
  10. The Morton game on the 14th has been moved to Lesser despite there being no fixture clash that weekend which suggests that big Hampden ain’t an option for us as long as Rangers are there. The fixture clash on weekend of 21st will just be a convenient excuse I suspect. Most of the fury is at our own club for the mismanagement of the Lesser Hampden project and the ever-absent communication. I think Morton had something like 800 fans at Hampden the last time vs the c250 that will be available at Lesser. Even more of a disparity for Ayr fans no doubt.
  11. Early warning for you guys With Rangers having been drawn at home in the League Cup for the weekend of the 21st September, I’d say the chances of our game against you being at Hampden on the Saturday as planned are near zero. Could be a double whammy of teeny tiny little Hampden and on the Friday.
  12. Shall we just all agree it will be 1-1 as usual with each team conceding a soft goal
  13. Ayr at home the next week as well will be some laugh
  14. Morton game moved to Lesser despite Rangers being away that weekend. The guff about TV games on the club statement makes no sense. We’ve clearly been told to gtf from Hampden.
  15. All this because some helmet on a stag do may or may not have sneaked a bottle in
