I think it’s totally wrong that folk have made negative comments on the clubs twitter feed about signing MacIver, there’s more than a fair chance he will have read the comments. No wonder players don’t do well with us and go on and produce the goods when they leave us, we don’t help ourselves. Going by his Falkirk TV interview the guy is clearly chuffed to be joining us, I just hope he realises the majority of our fans will support him and give him a fair chance.

Surely there are no Falkirk fans left that think any season in L1 is going to be easy, if there are then they are nuts and need to learn from the previous 4 years.

I think as a fanbase we are too quick to write signings off, maybe down to 4/5 years of shite recruitment. I’ll give any new signing a chance before condemning them to the waste bin, we have to mind we’re going into our 5th season in League One and financially aren’t in a great place. The 2yr deal for Nesbitt was a strange one but McGlynn clearly likes him.

At least MacIver is a big lad who according to Alloa fans is decent in the air. I’ve moaned about physicality in the side so with Agyeman it seems McGlynn is at least trying to address this. F**k it, I’m feeling a bit optimistic probably due to a couple of afternoon pints of T, this is our year lads

I’ve read the statement and I honestly don’t think they should have made it. It was clear McGlynn was staying and they should have just left it for now. The statement they have put out will do nothing to appease those who want them gone or in turn give a boost to those who are for giving him more time.

I just find him so frustrating. I can handle a player being shite if they just don’t have it, he clearly does but doesn’t show it consistently enough for me. It’s all about opinions though and he seems to be a fan’s favourite.

If we can get cash for Morrison I would bite the other clubs hand off. Has the capacity to be excellent but is so frustrating at times. This last couple of months he’s been anonymous.

Best of both worlds tends to suggest to me one in and one out. A good signing and a wage thief out the door would be just perfect

I thought that at the Airdrie game. Don’t think it will happen next season due to the size of away crowds but going forward it could once we get to a league where bigger crowds are coming.

I’ve slagged McGlynn a bit/lot on here but I think it’s just frustration at where we again find ourselves. I’m not in the get shot camp but likewise I’m not in the he’s doing a great job camp. He has this transfer window for me, I want to see experience, physicality, goals and pace added to the squad. If we rock up in July/August and it’s same old he won’t last long. He has got a tiny bit of credit left in the bank so I’m willing to give him a chance.

I don’t think there’s any chance of it happening but we are all allowed to dream every now and then.
