Think the ECB should be telling the BCCI to ram their Test Series up their arse until they learn to prepare a decent pitch, it is the same for both sides but this is a farce.
This is as enjoyable from a batting perspective as T10 is for bowlers, just no contest. Archer & Broad would be as well as swinging from the hip to try and get a few sixes as they aren't going to last long anyway.
He got 5-1 against us in a Roses one dayer a few years back if I recall correctly.
ETA It was actually 4-5 in the County Championship but he was 4-1 at one point.
Always seems to be the way in India, for years their pitches were roads, now they are rank turners. They can't seem to get the balance right for an even contest between bat & ball, expecting Ashwin & Axar to open the bowling.
FTFY.
This is why Root should bowl himself more often, he is a better spinner than he thinks. This could be over today as I can't see England lasting long.
I am sure the stumping was out, equally there was no way the Stokes catch was out & I am still mystified as to why they were making such a big deal about it.
Yeah, again a decision that was taken too quickly, he saw what he wanted to see & it will give England a get out when realistically India don't need the dodgy decisions to win. I can see the ECB firing an official complaint in after this Test which India will order the ICC to ignore.
It still provokes an incredible amount of anger in me that the matching jaikit brigade & their ilk genuinely believe that the persecution & oppression they perceive to be forced to endure in their daily life, is comporable to that faced by the indigenous black population living under the apartheid regime.
You have more faith in Leach than I do although tbf he does have a decent record of late, Woakes is the big error for me as he shortens the tail & a day/nighter with a pink ball is as friendly as conditions get for him overseas. The pitch is always the same for both teams as I have said previously, does he think India are sneaking a road out there in the innings break?
If there is any doubt then you go with the soft signal but I am convinced the ball went to ground there even though I would rather much that it didn't.
Not sure why they have went full Kohli there as the ball clearly went to ground, but you cannot do any of the England players for dissent as the arroogant one got away with much worse.
