Lyons is mainly a winger, so I imagine he’ll be a regular, but not in the striking position. For all we know, Mansell May have a relegation clause, and although I think as a 3rd choice, he’d be okay at that level, I wouldn’t be bothered if he went. Mansell may have more “potential” but I’d rather Doolan over him (as a backup) in League 1 and even if we were still in the Championship. He’s rarely looked like a footballer to me, and I feel it was quite obvious McCall completely doesn’t rate him.

If we keep Graham and Rudden, McManus wouldn’t come to us, because he’d get far more game time at Falkirk, than he would ahead of Graham or Rudden. If one of them leaves, I’d happily have McManus though.

From someone who had to go through the pain of watching De Vita, for half of last season, he’s undoubtedly among the worst I’ve seen in a Jags jersey in the last 2 seasons, which is no mean feat. And then when he dropped Down to League 1 I don’t think he got much better. I’ve seen Chris Erskine since his decline, from his old self, and even he’s 10x better than De Vita was.

Nothing to do with a Magic Money Tree. We are using the furlough scheme for them, til the end of the month of June for those players, like Dundee are doing, and like Ayr. It’s not rewarding failure, it’s making sure players and their families aren’t completely without income during a height of the pandemic.

It would be the Top 4 from the Championship getting promoted in a 16 team league, surely. The only way it would help Thistle, would be that we wouldn’t get relegated, but that matters little if the entire Championship is going to be mothballed anyway.

I’m not sure I see many contracted players leaving at the moment, due to the current climate, and most clubs bar probably the Old Firm, are unable to sign anyone. So we could see a situation where we are stuck with a few guys, that we wouldn’t have missed if they left, but also managing to keep the likes of a Rudden who would be great to keep for next season. All depends on the finances of all clubs.
