I think you need to look at Tweets & Replies on their page.

"Wouldn't have mattered, your club and all other L2 clubs clearly stated what your intentions were and it involved closing the pyramid door"

"Once the facts come out the word "pressured could be seen as too light a word for what was presented to the Lowland League"

I agree that Kelty can feel a bit hard done by here but don't post stuff like this on the club account.

The amount of stick on social media kelty have got has been interesting they really are getting it in the neck!  No wonder what an embarrassment of a club from top to bottom.

Junior chiefs aim to finish current Junior Cup next season. "For the avoidance of doubt, any player who had played in the competition this season so far will be eligible if he subsequently signs for one of the remaining teams in competition."

Too late for the winners (if not Talbot) to be slotted into the WH Scottish Cup though ... or would they be eligible for 2021-2?

Great news very much looking forward to it was shaping up to be a cracking semi final line up.

Their social media is a joy to behold, it’s well worth a read, all the latest news and views from various members of the club.
Including the gaffer as well who reiterates his enthusiasm at having a wonderful set of players and behind the scenes volunteers to help him achieve the Darvel dream.

It's almost as grim as this virus.

Truly awful whoever runs it something where you just hate to stop reading as it makes you feel uneasy with its tone. Look at us,  we are great buddies and love the community on and on and on....

There is no closed shop. There was no reconstruction, so the Club 42 playoff is still in place.

This is the kind of naivety that needs exposed time and time again in the future. In Scottish football rules and regulations mean very little they can be twisted to suit the established clubs agenda even easier in a post pandemic world .

    Time to wake up!

  5. Make no mistake about it this brechin thing is a total red herring.

Whether it was brechin or stenhousemuir or stirling albion or elgin bottom of league 2 this situation would still be the same.

All these clubs have built up relationships and look out for each other and will continue to do so if stirling albion were bottom of league 2 brechin and other clubs in the cabal would look after them this will never change in scottish senior football.

The point i dont get was the two/three/four year effort on here by a particular  couple of posters. Can only guess they are paid officials. Why else would you put so much effort into was is and always has been a highly protectionist gig which pays lip service to terms like sporting integrity.

It has been a concentrated effort to discredit a grade of football that served communities well for decades. The irony is these people and this sham pyramid was always going to be exposed and ruthlessly tore apart and it has in an even quicker time than many skeptical of the whole thing could even predict.

The very labels given to the junior officials could easily be labeled at senior officials even more so!

The dream never really was a goer in reality only ever on a keyboard and web page.

The SPFL are so keen on a glass ceiling they just promoted an ex Junior team to League One despite the league not finishing. You pleb

Yes using an example of a club who were in the junior grade 35 years ago for 1 season and it being relevant to today's closed shop glass ceiling is perfectly reasonable. 😄👍

What does the tweet mean? Is it sadly curtains for promotion to LL?

    Heard this from several sources.

Word is the lowland have to toe the party line here as nobody is being promoted from lowland or relegated.

The bo'ness twitter has probably came into this information also.

Think the bo'ness fans are in for a shock here though this is scottish football and anything is possible so they may well be the only strand of hope the pyramid has the now for credibility and get promoted.

As is the case with ANY rule it is there to be changed/challenged/broken/ignored so you can be sure the SPFL will try and pull up the drawbridge for at least next season.

Money is a prisoner due to Covid 19 so every club will try to make sure they're at the front of the queue with the begging bowl until this is all over and if that means denying entry to the non league clubs then that is what they will try to do.

It's dog eat dog out there at the moment

    Excellent post .

The big dog was before pandemic going to allow the little dog a sniff of action. Now nah no chance the big dog has its prize well and truly guarded and if the little dog dare to come near it , it will chew it up and spit it out and leave it to rot .

Correct. There is always a challenge. Its not always the same club but there is always a challenge.

5 of their West Premier titles came due to them winning their 22 and final league game. If they had lost they would not have  been champions. The other was won fairly comfortable in the end but even then they didn't go top until January as Petershill also got off to a storming start but faded towards the end.

All of Talbot's Junior Cup Final wins have been by a single goal apart from two.

Things are never as easy as people seem to think

Off top of my head Beith won it on last day. Glens krr went to a showdown last game or two.

Point being its a very competitor environment built up through decades and generations.

Something that stirs the blood and is more than football it's local pride community bragging rights. That same buzz just won't be the same for any club who goes into the lowland and league two at a push.

Yes sure atfc beating elgin or bsc boys club or annan or civil service strollers will bring enjoyment but these junior fans won't feel that gut wrenching feeling before a game or buzz when winning as they would with the tradition junior rivals.

Someone on here with no real grasp of that can preach from a keyboard or smart phone that this is nonsense but it really isn't not in the real world of these communities who's real being is fighting it out with similar communities that have a historical link.

Even if you include Talbot's title this season there have been three different clubs win the Championship in the last four years

I think some people just assume certain things when it come to auchinleck .

Scottish junior cup no argument from me last 15 years have been incredible.

West premier league won 6 times in 17 years.

West of scotland cup 2 times in 30 years.

Most clubs would love that kind of success but it's not the all dominating version of the junior game that many think.

Even when atfc are winning multiple trophies a season they rarely get an easy time of it.

The vast majority of atfc fans will wish they were still in the junior set up and not just a junior memberships club in the junior cup next season.

This poses a great challenge to the club and it's identity people are bred into a certain version of football and a certain structure of football it will take a generation or two to change that mentality and even when it eventually comes will the same lure still be there when the success isn't the same as say a mid table bottom league senior team that's assuming that closed shop ever opens its door which looks highly unlikely imo.

What has happened is there is a pandemic.  There is no capacity to play games for the foreseeable.  Thus play offs at all levels can’t take place - thus my club and others lose out.  Disappointing but not some vast conspiracy

    Spot on.

What have Kelty become a tribute act to Glasgow Rangers?

    Statements left right and centre.

Lack of understanding of where the game is in the middle of a pandemic.

Ex Rangers management team coming out with nonsensical stuff on this.

Fans on social media banging on about pie in the sky legal action that anyone with any common sense would go nowhere.

Seems on the face of it that the whole business model is built on getting into the 'promised land ' asap. Hint of desperation about it all.

Take a step back kelty realise the situation and rebuild for next season in the lowland a league you are happy to big up and see what the future holds.

    Good luck.

If debating things on a forum is your idea of ill you probably need to get out more.

You sound really upset over something that is going nowhere and doesn't involve the club you support.

As for needing to get out more i think that applies to most of the population that made me chuckle thanks bud 😄

I'm not going to get into the dunfermline thing but that was another total shambles and corrupt as f**k. And why wouldn't I vocally get passionate about my club being fucked over.

Yeah what's wrong with supporting the principles of sporting integrity?

Yeah mate you need a little lay down. Really not worth making yourself ill over it's non league football in a small country ffs.

  16. Can only imagine the smug look on the sjfa head honchos faces the now.

Now for a full set only need bo'ness to be denied promotion to the lowland though if it goes does go through it only inflates the lowland even more so like the bloated wosfl tier 6 that does nobody any favours.

What am almighty mess that will probably take the rest of the decade to sort out to see anything meaningful happen.

Btw all just an opinion please nobody get upset and go running to the teacher to get me thrown out of class to stand in the bad square 😄

People said celtic wouldnt win when they took on the sfa and Fary but they did.

    Findlay is knob.

They might be concerned if a legal case pointing out that are in breach of their own rules, conflict of interest was involved in the breach of those rules and the governing body deem the whole thing to be against the principles of a pyramid.

    Dear oh dear mate.

You are allowed an opinion like everyone else on here but let it go and get back to concentrating on dunfermline or another team you 'support'

Principles of the pyramid ma lord 😂😂😂😂

  18. 3 minutes ago, Fifes Elite Force said:

Yes. Another one of my teams was placed in a league by committee which should never have happened. I'm sure if you knew anything about Scottish football you can work it out.

They do have route to go. Firstly they can refer to the rules that are there in black on white, they can also go to the governing bodies who I think will back them and lastly they can go to court and I think if they did they would win.

    They won't win.

It would cost a shitload of time and money even if they were crazy enough to do so.

Even the infamous friend of the club donald findlay would get nowhere with this.

It's all bluster for god sake the powers that be aren't concerned in the slightest with a club like rangers threats never mind in the grand scheme of things what the small fry are saying.
