  1. In a way its forward thinking. There is no question a second wave of covid19 will come back in the winter. Dont think there is a scientist who said it wont. I'm sure the club have done a forecast account taking another shut down a strong possibility.    EDIT Just watching News Night so covid19 thrives at 4c worrying that's a temperature Scotland hits frequently in winter months. Adds up given the problem meat product factories are having given they work at fridge temperature 5c / 4c

I’m with Coventry Saint I just love all the speculation and potential signings that pop up on social media outlets. It’s even better when players do actually sign, and they are not the ones touted by those in the know. 😜

To be fair Vince it read - heard Davies played can anyone confirm.  I just added my bit as Davis in the press saying he would like to come back. He is a decent player was disappointed he left he has quality.

Is this the first glimpses of the "where's the signings!!!???" meltdown season finally starting? Been quite quiet this year so far. Mind you it'll need to be good to beat last season's when a fan and director threatened to batter each other on Twitter.

You have got some imagination there. Its pre-season usually means speculation. Goodwin has said he wants his full squad in as quickly as possible so he can work with the squad.  Dont see any panic anywhere except in your mind.

No chance we could afford throwing quarter of a million at an unproven striker, at this level, last summer, never mind this summer with the current circumstances. We will be dealing in nominal fees at most.

Dont think I said we should or afford him. It was obvious even last year Nisbet would move on too bigger things.

I agree. I take my hat off to Livingston they've been excellent since coming up. I really thought they would struggle last year after losing a few important players.

I'm under no illusions that we should be regularly pushing for top 6 or anything, but it would be nice to see a season now and again where we're an arms length from relegation. In recent times we've seen Ross County, Falkirk, ICT, Livingston all finish in the top 6 at some point.

I suppose we can't complain of boring seasons as a Saints fan!

Stabilisation of a manager is paramount if we are to progress you cant move forward as a club if you keep changing the manager each of whom will have diffrent ideas on the squad and at training. Jim Goodwin is the right man for us it takes time though. Our income has been reduced drastically, so far we have shifted almost 2,500 season tickets. Hopefully that will grow a bit more- the squad will reflect our drop in earnings .  Was it around  4,000 season tickets 2919/2020 ? The real danger for Scottish football is a second wave of covid19 in the winter I'm sure that would destroy a lot of the lower league clubs.

Yes, seen the at Strathclyde Uni just before Malcolm Owen died.

Good band mate, seen what's left of them supporting the Strangliers in Glasgow recently.  Got chatting to them at the bar in the 02 still recording albums.

    C'est Chic

Now there's no denying that Nile Rogers is a musical genius.

This is a classic slice of disco but there are a couple of dodgy tracks here, although that is redeemed by I Want Your Love. One of the best tunes of the 70s IMO.

Bought a box set with all  Chic's 12" vinyl singles still sound really good . Nile Roger's produced the biggest selling albums from Madonna, Inxs, Dina Ross , David Bowie .

With no gigs on these days it's time to reminisce.......40 years ago today at Grangemouth Town Hall I saw the one and only Gary Moore fronting his project band G-Force. Parisienne Walkways and Back on the Streets never sounded so good.

Brilliant guitarist , mate loaned me a couple of albums powerful blues/ rock. Albums now on my radar.  Your one lucky man having seen him live.

Morton season ticket holder in my work thinks differently from you - said he made a big difference and was hopeful he'd sign a contract with yous.

Has still to prove he has what it takes for the Premiership,  but has already shown he is decent at Championship level.

Baird is 25 now it's his big chance to prove he can play at premiership level. Jim Goodwin has said he watched him a few times where Baird impressed.  Goodwin also said Hopkin told him he has been outstanding for Morton.  Baid wont reach the dizzy heights of much bigger clubs but he certainly is good enough for a small premiership club like us, my opinion of course.

There's a Gus McPherson joke to be made in relation to how well stocked we are in the middle of the park...

That's Cammy, Foley, Magennis, Flynn, Erhahon, Sheron, McGrath all vying for, at most, three positions in the middle.

Of course, McGrath is a 10 or wide, and Magennis will be playing wide right, but still, plenty of options.

Feel Mcginnis is more comfortable on the middle than on the right but hey hoo that's Goodwin's call.  Just want to get the season up and runing with a few beers in front of the TV not as fun as being there. At least we wont cringe at constant swearing.

Baird has great mentality, he was probably Morton's best player last year, And every time he's been given a chance he has stepped up and made himself first pick at centre half ahead of the likes of Mckenzie and Buchanan.  Can see him stepping up again

Agree with that I also know a couple of Morton fans who told me he was a stand out.
