  1. Think Shanley is isolating currently, sure the manager mentioned on his chat. The team are new and i reckon we have a good midfield and half decent defence. Ouzy does a great job upfront and with players playing off him, we should score some goals. Stirling and Kelty are big favourites with the remaining 8 looking for a play off space. We are faster, fitter and technically better this season compared to last, but not as experienced. We will just need to back the team and see what 2021/22 brings. When is the new strip coming out?
  2. Well played Edinburgh tonight. Second half we settled and nearly snatched a 1-1 draw but for a good save. We played decent passing football second half and looked like the team to go on and score with the Accies wasting time and hoofing the ball all second half. First competitive game and with our defender injured early on, ref didnt allow us to get back to 11 players and we lose a goal. Otherwise the ref was ok. Well played lads.
  3. Bring on the Jambos in a Derby game. Can't wait for this. We ARE the wee team and proud.
  4. Looked a very good player on Saturday. Strong, fast and great feet. Plus linked up well with the new right back. Some good quality players joining.
  5. Dross hates travelers and gays. A good sort some say!! I agree he should be called out. But then he and his Tory party are small change in Scotland anyway.
  6. Seems like big changes Tenkay. The new manager has been excellent up to now and some quality signings in the 3 who have arrived. The team will be new, the stadium new and management team fairly new. But that may be a good thing. Not sure what Forfar will be like? Or Kelty for that manner? Stirling have strengthened and Stenny have a new team too. Albion Rovers have half the Stirling team and Stranraer are a good bet. This could be a good season and an open league?
  7. Tapping is one of the better L2 midfielders and I am happy with Edinburgh's first signing after the great exodus. Like you say Tam, he will build his team and i can't wait to hear who we have coming along.
  8. Great player. Hope he signs. He would bolster the midfeld and play the Edinburgh City way - passing football.
  9. Thanks Cowden, team gave everything although tired. A new dawn next season at Meadowbank.
  10. Over the 2 legs Dumbarton deserved to progress and the 3-2 win is about right in my view. However, Edinburgh never panicked and tried to play decent passing football in midfield and i am happy with that. The 1-0 win away was also probably right too. I am frustrated at the Ozy See penalty decision, Dumbarton's defender kneed him and never played the ball - a clear free kick anywhere else on the pitch and therefore a penalty. Fine lines and unfortunate he bottled it, but proud of the team and the last 3 months. Bring on Meadowbank our spiritual home, new training facilities and a fresh start in League 2. There will be changes to the team, but I hope not too many as the team are great to watch and the Management are doing a great job. Exciting times even though feel low after last night.
  11. Seriously? I thought it was only Clyde and Sevco who stoop to this level.
  12. Congratulation's Edinburgh on making the play offs. Well deserved and well played today. Best wishes to Elgin too, a good football team with plenty young talented players. Our midfield were superb today and worked hard while linking up. Good to see Lee back and Hendo returning - just when we need them again. Not sure what will happen now but 2nd place from where we were is a great achievement for Gary.
  13. Thought we played well tonight. Sharp crisp link up play and organised. Stats showed we matched QP. Keep the faith.
  14. City have brought in a fantastic management team and the team have performed well. Pushing for second in the league, play off opportunity and promotion. Also a return to Meadowbank - brand new stadium, pitch and training facilities. Even if we don't go up this season (which we are in with a shout at least), season 2021/22 will be worth looking forward to I feel. The squad look very well organised and great to watch. Lets enjoy the next 2/3 weeks and see what happens.
  15. I hope Blair Henderson is ok. It looked a bad shoulder injury and he was going for a hatrick. He was on fire and lets hope he gets back to fitness quickly, quality player and superb goals last night. I thought the Cowden TV commentators were excellent. Best I have heard, good knowledge and quite unbiased and complimentary to both teams. Well done guys. The Manager and Assistant are playing some good football, high tempo and attacking play. Our whole team seems geared to attacking and playing on the deck (when suitable). Blair Henderson, Blackie, Broony , Jardine, Campbell and Thomo were excellent last night. Positive performances and a lot of young players involved under 25 in the team. Looking great for the future and next season, no matter what happens this disruptive Covid year.
  16. Good news. Dunfermline and East Fife previously. Must be decent and have qualities to play at a higher level. Welcome Ryan on our push to the play offs.
  17. Along with the Turkeys voting for Christmas - Farmers and Sunderland Nissan workers. Independence Day is here for them as they pick up their dole money. Scotland will return soon at least and join our Italian, French, German and Irish friends in the largest market on our doorstep.
  18. Always found the club supporters and club members to be welcoming and kind. I really hope the club recover after the New Year. It's a battle again between Rovers and Brechin it seems.
  19. Two famous Cities come head to head in a table top game. Stirling have improved from last season and pose a threat to any team in Division 2, can they score goals to match their robust defence? Edinburgh have shown they can score but can they prevent leakage of goals too? Interesting tie which I will not predict personally as this seems to be fruitful to the Citizens. But feel free to predict an exciting game which will be live on Edinburgh TV.
  20. Look out for the commentator - straight talking, dry humour and right to the point! Comments like - 'that was a terrible pass' 'he's not having the best of games' And that's our own players He also talks about Edinburgh, the weather and bad language. Enjoy the fun
  21. Proud of the team and the fighting performance. Every player gave everything and bar a soft penalty, we could have come away with all the points. James and Colin have built a great team and squad who play decent football too.
  22. Not going to predict this one as the last two games have proven successful while I keep shtoom! QP are a good team and favourites in every game, we like a good surface and play football the right way so Hampden suits. A draw would be a good result for us and keep momentum going.
  23. Great result and 9 goals in 2 games. Thought Albion Rovers looked organised and played ok too. An open game with both teams having a go, could have been 8-4.
