  1. Hopefully those caught up in it aren’t stranded too long as it does look treacherous.
  2. Aye, that’s true. I think at this point I’d rather the game is off tonight even if it means some extra congestion further down the line just with the players we currently have missing. Hopefully by then we will have a few back.
  3. I suspect that Clement may be secretly content with the decision to postpone. While you would always like the opportunity to put points on the board, avoiding any further strain on an already stretched squad ahead of Saturday isn’t the worst outcome.
  4. This just reveals that the type of content you engage with the most is Rangers if the Twitter algorithm is ensuring your timeline is full of tweets from Rangers fans
  5. Aye, I wouldn’t be too disheartened if the game is called off tonight given our squad is pretty decimated already. Plus I’m choked with the cold so selfishly wouldn’t mind a night in watching the Edinburgh Derby
  6. Nah, I disagree. Read back what I’ve said before regarding decisions - I don’t disagree we get favourable decisions compared to some others. But this just wasn’t a penalty. I have asked someone already their view on whether they thought it was and no answer. Same to you, do you believe it was a penalty? Saying it doesn’t matter just plays on hypotheticals and deflects from the fact it was a correct decision.
  7. We got the benefit of the doubt because it wasn’t a penalty As I said before, I’d appreciate this stuff if it had come on the back of a legitimate penalty claim.
  8. In what way? Do you believe it was a penalty? Even if it’s contested that Biereth initiated the grappling, there is still the handball that led to it ignored. You then need to consider that people are then ignoring Biereth pulling Dessers (even if you don’t believe he initiated it), and then come to a conclusion that Dessers should be the only one penalised for both players pulling each other. How? I’ve posted both the clip and the still, though. The still is a fairly good indicator that in that image Biereth has a hold of Dessers jersey, but it would appear impossible for Dessers to have a hold of Biereth’s wrist as claimed unless, as I said, he can contort his forearm backwards. Biereth is holding the jersey at sleeve height. Try and bring your left hand up to your left sleeve line. It’s impossible due to the length of your forearm. It’s just a few things people are overlooking in order to claim it should’ve been a penalty without explaining why.
  9. Well, the tweet I posted you could certainly see Biereth grasping at Dessers shirt. And from this still, I’d say it would be pretty impossible for Dessers to also have a hold of Biereth’s wrist unless he is able to contort or bend his forearm
  10. I’d understand that point if it was made on the back of a legitimate penalty claim though. I’ve said numerous times that I have no real objections to claims that we receive more favourable treatment compared to others. But this is just desperation stuff with people wilfully ignoring the handball and the fact that Biereth initiated the pulling.
  11. And then backtracked when they’ve realised they made an error. But it should be a learning experience for all of us
  12. So Biereth has initiated the pulling (as evidenced in that video), yet it should be Dessers that gets penalised for it? Even then, people are just willing to ignore the clear handball that lead to the incident. I’m unwilling to understand faux outrage for an incident that shouldn’t have been a penalty and correctly wasn’t awarded, yes.
  13. More noise cranking up about the non-award of a penalty when 1) There was a handball from a Well player prior 2) Biereth is actually the one pulling Dessers’ shirt sleeve, not the other way about, and 3) O’Donnell should’ve then been sent off in the same passage of play I mean you can clearly see he has a handful of Dessers’ shirt, and then look at the name and number on Dessers’ shirt stretching from being pulled then pinging back into place once Biereth lets go.
  14. Despite our issues in midfield and up front, our defence is really giving us a good platform to build on. Apparently that’s the third game in a row we haven’t conceded a shot on target.
  15. The team I expected to start, maybe with the exception of no Barisic being involved. Glad to see it’s Cantwell ahead of Lammers.
  16. We are not in an ideal position for this match with a threadbare midfield to choose from. Cifuentes, Jack, Raskin, Lawrence and now Lundstram are all unavailable. Add in Roofe’s latest injury and we only have Dessers as our only fit striker. As such you’d imagine it will be a midfield of Sterling, Dowell and one of Cantwell or Lammers with Dessers flanked by Sima and McCausland. Defensively we seem to be fairly solid in the league, only conceding 8 goals so far. I have a feeling that Balogun might come back in to partner Goldson. It’s going to be difficult with the players we have missing but it really is a match we should be winning if we have aspirations to win the title.
  17. Sky should really be using the BT sport approach from a couple of seasons ago. When watching back the highlights from games at Ibrox during our Europa League final run, the coverage, particularly at goals, was excellent. They seemed to focus more on the fan experience and had these unique zip-line type camera angles that really showed the stadium bouncing. I’d rather watch that during the Edinburgh derby rather than some pishy interview or touchline view. This video is peak sports broadcasting, in my opinion (there is obvious bias at play I appreciate).
  18. That stadium concept looks really smart. It reminds me of a more modern and updated version of the Tony Macaroni at Livingston, with the main stand not connecting to the other 3 adjoining stands.
  19. Has there been any concessions or breakthrough made between the GB and the club? Or are the club just looking at the last couple of results and fan reaction thinking, we need to do something here.
  20. Even better then if folk have managed to save the police a bit of time in tracing them.
  21. I seen the offending tweet. Some people are lost causes and deserve everything that comes their way. They will get traced even if it's a faceless twitter account.
