  1. Aberdeen are no Barcelona, let’s get that straight, but Hearts? Absolutely muck, really poor performance and in keeping with what I’ve heard about them in the little run they’ve been on.

I have been supporting Aberdeen since 1971 and in all that time, Hearts have never been anything other than hacking, cynical, hammer throwing, animalistic bas7ards. So today was no real shock.

Hearts - falling apart since……well, their creation, really

PS -Used to love winding up that wee fud John Colquoun back in the day, always guaranteed a reaction from him, never dissapointed

Said it yesterday if there is a vacancy and he is an actual option get Neil Lennon in. Plenty of experience and if he does the job for us I could not care one jot about anything else.

Every chance he knows there will be a more attractive vacancy up North soon enough and will just bide his time though.

At Aberdeen? No chance, fans would never take to Lennon, he’d be run out of town almost before he’d arrived.

I listened back to Sunday's episode and thought it was excellent. I like when it's Cosgrove to run the show and he definitely had the handbrake off. Not to everyone's taste but makes for much better listening IMO. You could hear David Currie running for cover when he said Roy Keane looked like an old tink. Brilliant.

Totally agree. Ripped into Currie for failing to provide an opinion on Beale etc etc

Interesting that he had to provide an apology to anyone offended by his Keane tink comment.

He’ll be getting his wings clipped as we speak.

    Keep going, Stuart, brilliant presenter

Don't catch every show, but recently caught a few and Cosgrove came across as very xenophobic and sanctimonious. I always thought he was switched on and pretty righteous, but it doesn't seem to extend to everyone.

He’s certainly not scared to put the boot into the BBC, that’s for sure. Moreso lately.

Also, isn’t Cowan missing in action a lot more lately? I know he has his camper van but given his job is weekend based, odd that pisses off so regularly. That and trousering £2k per after dinner event, maybe it’s time for him to hing up the OTB microphone for good.

    Bradshaw is excellent

  5. Find it quite remarkable that people are saying this will be a tough game for Celtic this weekend. History tells you they tend to destroy Aberdeen both home and away.
Maybe they raise their game? Either way, almost every other top division side gives Celtic a game, at least once a season. Not Aberdeen

    Sigh

Maybe we will get him easily enough.

What about the final yr of his rather lucrative Wigan contract?
What would happen - he signs for us (for free) whilst simultaneously having his agent and the Union chase Wigan for that final year?

He must be on £8k a week, so half a million will be owed to him. Doing up that castle in Nairn won’t come cheap.

Are you being serious? There's about 15 players leaving/out of contract. How is that not on the same scale as last summer? It's even more important based on how poor last summer actually turned out to be.

Gunn being poor at his job has nothing to do with him not having a coaching or playing background (which a DoF should have anyway, but that's not the point). It's not a rumour either. I'd be surprised if Gunn is still in his post come the summer tbh. He's got a stay right now because the manager's job is taking priority. Let's just say there's been a few people that have got in contact with Gunn and he's never got back to them. But Burrows did.

Shinnie probably will sign permanently in the summer. If we want him to that is. MacDonald i'm not too sure about. This is a shop window for him.

I agree re Gunn. The only thing I’d disagree about is that he shouldn’t be getting ANY stay of execution. He should be getting replaced BEFORE the new manager comes in and let him decide who the new manager is, or at least be heavily involved in that prawcess.

Robson has stepped up to the plate and can be trusted to hold the fort meantime, till a new DoF is appointed, then we recruit a new manager

You never know, maybe it will be a simultaneous appointment. Brood as DoF as the Spaniard as manager?

    Exactly this.

He doesn’t get about the park like he did first time round… and it was his energy that retrieved balls he’d invariably given away in the first place.

    He’s definitely “lost a yard”.

I’m not sure we should be handing out expensive contracts on passion alone.

If he’s bought a house in Nairn, I think it’s ICT he will or should go to next season. In the Championship.

Sorry to have to say that but that’s what I’ve been thinking for quite a while now
