Tam Cowan has morphed into that cringey old uncle over recent years. Continuously tells the same stories over and over, honking ‘jokes’ and very touchy when one of the guests is genuinely funnier than him.

What really really grinds my gears though is the way both Tam and Stuart (who both will say are anti-sectarian) continually make jokes & references, albeit with funny mocking voices “aye but what school did her go to” and references to the orange order or “what foot does he kick with” etc etc. Just don’t even fuC5ing reference it in any way. Totally cringey west of Scotland patter that makes us a laughing stock worldwide.

Your 2nd paragraph, but aren’t they sending up the Neanderthal element of the old firm, who do think that way?

By the way, whatever happened to Lewis McLeod and his impression? Ceased when Covid kicked in

I think that’s unfair and quite simplistic.

God knows he regularly pisses me off and he has his flaws, but since his return we’ve seen a lot of investment in the club, a new training ground, the red shed, a fundamental shift in how we do recruitment which I have no doubt is better than where we were before.

He’s made a lot of mistakes too, don’t get me wrong but the idea that we’ve just lurched since his return is not a fair assessment.

Okay, let’s pick the bones of that:-

Training ground - I’ll give him that, because under Milne, it would never have happened. I’ll ignore the fact he narcissistically named it after himself and that there’s no indoor facility.

RedShed - Great but it will be his undoing because that same great atmosphere will bring Goodwin down and then possibly the inhabitants will turn their sights on Cormack himself.

Recruitment  - show me the evidence that it’s fundamentally better than before? Wheres the investment in the Scottish market? Do we ignore that now? The Atlanta players, Brown, JET, Bates, Gallagher, Vinnie, Polvara, Ramirez, Stewart, Richardson, Morris, etc etc. are they evidence if an improved recruitment stradagee?

    Clarkson outstanding there.

I genuinely don't see what the hype regarding Porteous is. Good player at this level but not a Scotland international.

Edit: Looking forward to Lee Johnson's routine bizarre post match interview. No doubt he'll come across bitter.

Something about VAR giving the ref subliminal messages?

  4. Cosgrove seems to be getting grumpy, and immature, in his old age. Started going on about how many hidings St Johnstone have handed out to Dundee and ICT over the years, with their former and current chairman, Scott Gardner, in the studio!

And, the chairman said Inverness is not a football town. Cos they’ve only had a pro team since 1994. I’d be going bananas if I was an ICT fan, at that comment. They’ve had highland league teams for over 100 years and only got denied entry to the professional ranks cos of the Strathclyde Football Association and it’s closed shop.

So are we going to play Jack Milne against Killie and the damned united? Hopefully he is going to be the the next Mckenna. Given he converted from midfield he should be good with the ball at his feet.

We need mcrorrie in midfield. Goodwin now needs to follow through on his CB gamble.

The time to blood Milne was yesterday, after the sending off. Why the f**k Goodwin didn’t so astounds me and makes me question his credentials

Fucking hell, this is some take, you must still be pished.

Porteous absolutely strolled it today against giants of the game like............Miovski.

you can say what you want about the penalty we were actually awarded but please dont bleat about Hibs winning because it was 100% deserved.

Aberdeen were utter dugshit today, and even when you scored I was confident that we were not losing that game.

Goodwins ludicrous (and, frankly embarassing) tears at full time are only there to mask how completely shit your team and his tactics were today..............

Hibs deserved to win the game BECAUSE of the undeserved penalty and resultant sending off. Which part of that don’t you get? We’ll never know how the game would have panned out otherwise.

  7. Hands up time, I got it wrong. I thought Goodwin was “the man” to lead us back to where we should be, and I felt he should have got the gig 12 months before he actually did.
You absolve him of blame, to a degree for last season’s  ending but I’ve seen nothing this season, to give me confidence that he is, in fact,  “the man”. The summer recruitment has been patchy at best. 3 or 4 of the 11 purchased should be nowhere near Aberdeen. Far too many speculative punts taken on players.
Today was just Shite and I’ve lost complete confidence in Goodwin.

That name has been doing the rounds for a while so not a massive surprise

    Know nothing about him

Another project signing. Great, you need a few of those but we have signed loads of those  this window and in Jan; in a era where we have a serious (for Aberdeen) wedge to spend, on what should be more established players.

I hope this new stradagee all works out but I’m starting to have some doubts.
