Victoriana has fairly gone up in price, its really good stuff but I struggle to pay £75 for something that was £20 cheaper 18months ago. The GS Double Cask is cracking whisky, the Rum cask edition was really bang average though. A lot of the best stuff is unaffordable now so its very much still a hit or miss distillery. A try before you buy.

Interesting to read the complexities in the taxes etc. If only it were as simple as, say, buying a machine gun. I think we don't realise quite how liberal we are with Booze laws etc.

The Wet racing fear has grown arms and legs in recent years. Obviously for safety but its gone too far imo. I can't recall too many engines blowing in recent years. Engineers probably have better data and call it before an engine eats itself. Always used to enjoy a cloud of smoke and the oil slick that followed.

I've tuned in religiously this season, bar Silverstone. I think this race, followed by the Summer Break and the football season might tune me out a little. Its not RB's fault they're brilliant, but Perez not pushing Verstappen at all has taken away any interest at the front. Bar a collision, I can see them winning every race remaining.

George Russell must be one of the most inconsistent drivers on the grid.

The tabloid style coverage by sky is really poor. Over analysing the Mercs tripping over each other in Sprint Qualy is tiresome. For me very clearly a series of unlucky events with a lock up to top it off. Drawing George Russell comparisons to Hungary and Spain by Schiff is just really lazy reporting.

I know there's the fatalities hanging over this event, but they're not shy to postpone sessions now. Doing their absolute best to disengage any remaining fans they'd picked up in the last few years.

Looking forward to Spa this weekend. I actually quite like the Sprint format, mainly because I have an early finish tomorrow and the weather is due to be absolutely shite both here and there.

I suppose its the definition of rubbish. With the resources (ignore cost cap years) and infrastructure they have I'd expect them to be on the podium multiple times a year. They're miles off that.

There's no reason for Ferrari to be rubbish. It makes no sense. Other than below par drivers and shocking strategy, the rest is in their control.
