  1. That makes apple pay more secure. It doesn’t mean contactless is insecure. If your card is lost or stolen then used fraudulently the bank will refund the money. The risk is on their side, not the consumers.
  2. That’s a bold statement that I’m sure you can backup. The banking industry in this country are of course renowned for rolling out insecure technology. I use contactless. Very few times I’m actually spending more than £45 except online. Only once I can think of in the last few weeks.
  3. Hell of a crowd in at Edgbaston today. 75% full test event. Atmosphere sounds amazing.
  4. My sister in law is over 40 and went down there and got her second jag.
  5. NHS Fife are running AZ drop in centres today for anyone over 40 that hasn’t had their second jag or anyone that’s waited more than 8 weeks. No stipulation on time period for over 40s
  6. Hancock currently giving evidence to the select committee. he's basically saying he followed the scientific and clinical advice for everything. Sleazy b*****d.
  7. Where are you getting this from? You’re way off the mark here. The JCVI advice against under 40’s getting AZ is nothing to do with catching Covid, it’s comparing the risk of getting life threatening blood clots compared to the risk of catching Covid and getting seriously ill or dying. it was never anything to do with infection rates. That’s a public health issue, not a JCVI issue.
  8. Some of us would still be able to have a right good go at her then.
  9. It won’t change. That trade off was a comparison of them not being vaccinated
  10. The first reply had me howling. “Until at least everyone has had two jabs”. Well once everyone has had 2 who the f**k is left?
  11. More than £5 at Murrayfield mate Hate to think what it will cost in the autumn now the SRU are properly skint.
  12. Just caught up on reporting scotland. The fanny complaining about nursery graduations is clearly a wrong ‘un and social services should be keeping a good eye on his kids.
  13. Absolutely no need to extend the powers at this point in time. The current emergency powers don’t run out for months. By the time they run out pretty much everyone will be fully vaccinated. Trying to force this through before the summer recess is disgraceful.
  14. So are these shite limits only for all seated?
  15. Beat me to it. the chart showing the case rates by age group is a blindingly obvious reflection of how well the vaccines are preventing transmission.
  16. Does anyone know the actual size of the fanzone in Glasgow?
  17. It's nothing like this. It's not very many people spread about in an outdoor park. If there were no football on no-one would give two hoots about this number of people being in a public park
  18. It was expected all of Scotland would be at level 1 by the time of the 1st cruise docking. The hold back last week has in effect caused this. The companies running uk cruises with Scottish schedules were allegedly advised of the situation two weeks before their itineraries commenced but it appears MSC in this case assumed it was only the actual port being visited that had to be in L1. Marella (Tui) seemed to have been more aware however they are primarily a UK customer base whereas MSC is an Italian firm. So the rule was already in place that all of Scotland had to be in Level 1 before domestic cruises could restart? The rule is stupid but comparing it in with a fanzone is also moronic
  19. is this a old rule that cruises are only allowed if the whole country is in level 1 or is it some goalpost shifting by the government? If it's an old rule then tough. Rightly or wrongly if those were the rules then you have nothing to complain about. If it's goalpost shifting then try directing the blame where it squarely lies. ETA it does seem bizarre that a cruise ship that set sail from the UK and will only be docking in UK ports isn't classed as travel within the UK which is of course allowed. What makes a cruise ship different from a plane?
  20. Cummings mates had their noses in the trough, but we all knew that anyway. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57413115
  21. ^^^ doing it right. don't waste any days of annual leave having potential side effects. get a sick day.
