I change my mind on Long multiple times during a match. I think we should keep him for his motivational skills.

We were near the top of the form league from when Alexander came in, so maybe he's going for continuity.......
We know that Gallagher, Polworth and Chapman are definitely off. Dunne staying would be a surprise, but Alexander likes his character, so maybe there's that. Seedorf is injured, so it's possible we're going through the same process as tanner and dunne with him.

Foyle leaving us to spend more time with players from Northampton is logical.

I assume the slowness of getting "the list" out is that the media team are making a top notch video announcement akin to the Euro squad announcements.

I'm just going to pretend he's calling us all daft dicks and that he wore an Airdrie top under his Motherwell shirt every game, makes it easier.

I have a feeling we're going to end up with more Hastie. I don't like that feeling. Fair play to him for capitalizing on that good couple of months.

Weird watching a game with nothing on the line for us. I slept in and missed our goal, then for the rest of the game I was mainly worried about that scaffolding falling down, and wondering if those pictures at the ends of the east stand will end up peeling off. Disappointing that we couldn't make the relegation saga more interesting, but it was nice to not be part of it.
What a weird season that was. Time to pretend I don't care about football for a few weeks then get silly optimistic after our first signing. Shame that Chapman didn't get to say goodbye, as when all is said and done, this was his season.

The turnbull one seems a bit premature. Hopefully he goes on to great things, but at this point we're celebrating a transfer fee, which is lame.
Overall mural looks nice though.

Watt does a lot of simple things very well, and has excellent work rate to add to it. He changed the game yesterday because he makes the ball stick and allows us to build an attack, and is unselfish. I like Cole, and Long to an extent, but both have a tendency to lose possession too often, with Coles poor first touch and trying to run through everyone, and Long shooting from anywhere.
I think the front 3 of Cole, Watt and Roberts worked well because two of those 3 can hold the ball, allowing Cole to get the ball in more dangerous positions.
It is feasible that we could end up going into next season with the same 4, assuming hearts let Roberts go, or it could be Watt and 3 or 4 unknowns. Personally, I'm ready for the uproar if Long is our next signing for 21/22.
In an unrelated note, Lamie has been decent.
Oh, and I'll most likely be at games in person from the start of the season as I'll no longer be an exile from the shire, which is nice.

I'd like to call it either the Kai Nyssonen stand, or the Van Der Gaag's Goal Wasn't a Free Kick Stand, based on the 2 times I've been in it.

Got to feel for the guy with the timing of that injury, losing his place to the in-form Magloire and missing out on a dream contract extension at the same time when it was so close, and to make it worse he could miss out on the euros. Damn hamstrings. Cruel game. Hope someone picks him up in the summer.

Did anyone win anything on that new betting app thing we have?
We were rubbish today. I'm not going to eat until tomorrow. Thought about making pakora too, but that will just have to wait. Going to drink a couple of pints of death wish coffee and complain on twitter.

Donnelly is contracted for next season, so he will get the chance to prove his fitness. I don't know what all of his injuries are, if it has been the same thing each time I'd be concerned.

I watched Memphis 901 beat Atlanta reserves in a baseball stadium when Glass managed them in 2019, and the standard at that level (usl) is woeful. Beer and BBQ nachos made the game bearable. I'd still go back though.

The actual interview with SOD doesn't come across as bad as the written stuff. It seemed more like trying to stay positive and not get dragged into a spiral of negativity. Nice to hear we have 4 or 5 guys almost ready to come back. The international break will help there too.

If the club doesn't replace "we exist to improve people's lives" with "knee" in their Twitter bio, they are not the social media savvy banter merchants they think they are.

But yes, the universe hates us, we're doomed.

White looked out of his depth at us and wasn't worth keeping. He was top of most folks "get rid" list , and we can't just hold on to everyone because we're scared they might end up good for someone ese. No one in any honesty would have predicted today. Fair play to him for making the most of his move so far though.

I don't think Lewis Irons is a Motherwell fan, but his audible terror each time the ball was in or around our box at least makes him an honorary one of us. When your commentators catchphrase is "oh no", you know you're having some season.

McGinley has looked fine any time he's played, and at least no worse than the others in there. He put in a cracker of a cross for Watt to score against someone earlier in the season, and has yet to be given his chance on the left side of a back three, which is his preferred position apparently. I think we should try doing that and see if it makes him look less sad.

Where do I sign up for Christopher Long's next Ted Talk?
I love that they told him everyone thinks he's sour faced and he has 5 mins to change our minds, and he ran with it. Fair play.

It was never a red for devante. He wanted to grab the guys shirt to stop the break away, but couldn't because his hands were on the ground, so had to do it with his foot. It was also a wrestling move, and wrestling isn't real, so no big deal.

I like having Jock Brown on comms, it's a nice bit of nostalgia, and I love to know if there perhaps may be a shooting chance at least 40 times per game.
