  1. Why thank feck Connolly is possibly going what is your reason for that statement My opinion is he brings little to the team from the sidelines. We have seriously diced with relegation and he was a part of that show. One of the worst 7/8 months I've ever witnessed in over 35 years of watching the club. Amazed at the apparent love fest for a first team coach when it's the bodies on the park, recently properly managed in football and as human beings, who should be the focus! What is your reason for asking the question?
  2. Never mentioned Cawley and it's totally different when you are playing, not on the sidelines. He has stepped up, fair play to him, most do if they don't leave with a manager. He has my thanks and best wishes but a big loss..............Cawley would be a bigger loss. It's all opinions and some believe his time has come. That's what forums are about.
  3. Nobody is denying he has been a loyal servant or been at the club during some great times. He has also been there during poor periods. Continuity wise, that's not always worked either, Smith, Lennon and Ferguson point in case. If he were a "spy" as BFTD said you'd think the chairman would have acted earlier. You're not telling me he's the reason Rice turned things around!? As for Andy, the point is sentiment cannot get in the way of a footballing decision (bit like my opinion on Connolly). He will be 39 and I have the utmost respect for him and the career he has had. He isn't going to get quicker and even though he is a good reader of the game that won't get him out of jail on a weekly basis. Instead of losing him let's develop him into the next stage of his career. His experience would be invaluable to younger players and defenders.
  4. Thank feck Connolly is going (good source hopefully). As you rightly say Graham would be obvious and popular choice. I agree, think he should hang up the boots and we can remember him for the stalwart he has been. 1 year older and a lot of younger, fitter strikers next year, we have good replacements.
  5. I don't think he's irredeemably shite, just found it funny that he's doing the exact same thing that he did when he joined us. The following season was a reversion to the depressing seasons we'd grown used to. Move on mate, dry yer eyes and stop dwelling on the past. If you'd endured what we had pre Rice you'd realise.
  6. If only we'd ordered the rice earlier and ditched the spam.
  7. It's not difficult to have manners, empathy and generally be nice. In addition he actually also knows how to get the best out of his resources. All in all fantastic news and hopefully he can build on the last several weeks of momentum.
  8. Durnan, Sammon and Boyd to remain as the only positives from the imbecile, the rest get tae. The core for many years to also stay. Trouten downed tools because of the imbecile and may be worth one more season. Our 3 youths to leave for their own interest and the youth set up to be sacked. It would be great to see them do well elsewhere. We never use it and there is no pathway. Money better spent on the first team. Would take Morrison and MacIver but would be surprised to see him come here. Sena, byebye as well. Rice to remain if he can be persuaded, if not big Andy with a revamped backroom. Apart from that praise the lord that we stayed up, consolidate next year and build on that for 23/24.
  9. Who is Barry? Oh I remember that absolute throbber who thinks he's a manager. Hope he never gets another gig, unless of course.............
  10. Hopefully all 3 are leaving then. There's a conspiracy!
  11. Well done indeed, great job. Not so sure saying the chairman acted swiftly is correct, not swift enough in my opinion. Next season will be tough and this close season could be one of our most important for a very long time both manager and squad wise.
  12. 100% agree, saved a sinking ship, installed confidence, got wins and interacted with players, fans and the local media. All we ever wanted really.
  13. Oaft, he's back! You will be unbearable if you can negotiate the 2 big games.
  14. Someone he seems to think is better than he is. If that was the case he would not have come back in January but ended up in a higher league. Perhaps the fact it took so long for him to return suggests he was waiting out for that scenario and it didn't materialise. Assumption is other managers knew that and ours was desperate to get him as it was those goals keeping him in a job. He should be benched and see if that jolts his attitude.
  15. Amazing the clubs he has been at. He is absolute dross and that is saying something from some of the mingers we had brought in! How does Lennon get a 2 year deal as well?
  16. The utter pish brought in at the start of the season to leave would be a start with 1 maybe 2 exceptions. Not losing faith, Rice is night and day to what we had and I have faith he"ll sort the mess he inherited.
  17. Remove this immediately or I'll sue you for the nightmares that will return in my sleep!
  18. Or perhaps the appointment of a terrible manager was the issue! Anyhow, fresh air all over the recs now, cloud lifted, onwards and upwards.
  19. A manager who can change, adapt and get the best out of his resources........ Oh had he been here a wee bit earlier. Confident we will avoid the drop or play off on what I've seen thus far.
  20. Prime example of the car crash. Hopefully we don't lose our other youngsters. As for Mendy, yes good luck fella, however with his dad away he was never playing as we all could see he was an amateur player at best skill wise!!
  21. Darling gonna disappear, it's boring. I come on here to get away fae you (the wife) no listen to yer incessant greeting!
  22. Morrison is excellent. Saw him a few times during previous loans at Cowdenbeath, Falkirk and Albion Rovers. IMO better than Hutton. Great piece of business, youth being reignited at the Recs, wow!!
  23. What a difference. A formation, players, in the main, in the correct position, fighting for their team, fans and most importantly their manager. They also looked like they enjoyed it and were filled with confidence A breath of fresh air and some optimism. Why o why did we persist with the former imbecile?
  24. I'm pretty sure the manager will say something post match. I'm also pretty sure he'll be far more interactive with virtually all with an interest. The players morale statement is obvious as is the previous incumbent leaving. Gie us a break and be positive. All won't change overnight!
  25. Our weakest team!! How do you judge that on this seasons performances!? It was a ludicrous signing!
