We were flat today. Fairly even game overall & two teams at the same level for me. Fair play Montrose who go up the road with the three points.
We seem to miss Tidser big time when he's not on the park too.
Not the best Kelty performance, but deserved a draw. Moore's miss in the first half will probably haunt him for some time to come.

If we're being fair Tidaer had little to nothing to do with Tiwi signing though, right? He was signed last season then loaned back to Bo'ness?
Yes, he stayed at his club, Bo'ness Athletic, until the end of last season.

It wasn't a good win. Your goals came from a free header, some poor play at the back and a moment of madness from our keeper. If Kelty had been a League 2 side and this had been a league game then fair enough. It really didnt look like a game between 2 sides in different divisions. If we'd had a striker who could actually hit the target and weren't guilty of a couple of moments of suicidal play in and around our own box then you'd struggle to justify the 3-1 score. But our strikers couldn't score in Lupinenstrasse and our back line/keeper gave you better gifts than Santa. We started the game with our back up keeper and with players who needed a run out. Our best midfielder was a 2nd half sub. Hell, Greg Wylde was playing - a sure sign of a weakened team.
You've probably explained why you're in League 2, and why Kelty didn't have to be anywhere near their best to win. I do hope you can make it to League 1 next season though.

Not Kelty's best display yesterday, but a good win nevertheless. I can understand Dumbarton fans being a bit frustrated at the missed chances, as it's often been the case with Kelty in their league games so far this season, so it was good not being punished for missed chances this time!

A draw would have been a fairer result, always a sickener to lose to a late goal.

Brilliant start to the season neeb 6 points from teams that were by in large better than us last season, I thought we controlled the game well , great to see Walker back in at LB , Tiwi deservedly on bench after last weeks performance and Cunningham getting two after claiming a start after being benched last week , shows Tids isn't afraid to make decisions for the bettter of the team , better start to the season than I could have foreseen in May anyway
Way better start than last season, plus the brand of football is much better. Looks like it could be a good season.

Enjoyable game last night and a tremendous performance by Kelty, it was good to watch. Some work to do defensively, but it's still very early days so plenty of time.

Night and day from last season. Definitely top half. That’ll do for now. Not wanting to jinx it.
Hopefully you get top half. Was at Ainslie Park last night, Hearts B were very good, Gretna were the opposite.

Daramola spotted at Kiers Park today. Was the Haws trying lure him to their club with promises of a big contract, or was he just supporting his old team-mates at Bo'ness Athletic?!!
Had the chance to have a wee chat with him, he's a totally pleasant young man.

Not surprised considering the distance both teams had to travel.
Could have easily doubled that if played more central.
I would have gone if it had been more central.

Is Nathan Austin any good?
Didn't see an awful lot of him last season as he was injured most of the time, although he does make a difference when he does play. I'm hoping that the club signs a decent back up to him, I think they will need it.

Was with us couple of seasons junior then went to Bo'ness and returned when we went into EoS league
I think it was the first season in the Lowland League that he missed due to injury, but he came back as good as ever the following season.

You're quite right, it would have been worth mentioning his previous spell with us as well. Perhaps someone with a slightly better memory can confirm, when he rejoined it was during the preseason before our EOSL campaign? I don't think it was any earlier than that?
I honestly can't remember, but either way he is definitely a Kelty legend.

Sad to see Philp go. He's been a fine servant and as our longest serving player he deserves some recognition. If memory serves he joined us just as we started off in the EOSL, so he's been with us through the East Of Scotland League, The Lowland League, League Two and now League One. That's quite a journey. If I'm being honest he has found it hard going this year, but he has been a real difference maker over the years.
If the changes are as drastic as I fear they might be there are some players we'll get by without but some will be quite a significant loss. As others have said everything rests on what business were able to do between now and the start of the season. It's impossible to say how next season might go until we get some idea of the level of talent were bringing in to replace what we've lost. Looking just at outgoings nobody would be optimistic, but having someone like Tidser at the helm is encouraging. Whilst individually the standard of what were bringing in will probably be lower than what we've had this season, there's no reason why a new manager and a new direction can't outperform Potters imbalanced, threadbare side.
Philip was at the club when they were still Junior.

Is Nathan Austin a busted flush?
Much as I'd like to be proven wrong, I think it would be an error to have Austin as the main number 9. He's been bedevilled with injury after injury this season, and this has contributed to Kelty's lowly league finish as his goals and assists have been badly missed. When fit he's been a terrific player for Kelty, and he's one of those players that you like to see on the ball, but I have a feeling that he will miss a fair few games next season too.

I was a your ground for the friendly in the summer. I didn't see much to be proud about to be honest. Very Cove Rangers like.
You should have stood in amongst the Kelty fans and told them to their faces that their club was tinpot and scummy!

Megwa in on loan from Hibs. Highly thought of by all accounts. Good to bolster the numbers until the Forster situation is resolved.
What's happened regarding Forster.

Only Kamgna on in the starting line up from the 20s. The rest all first team. Shows how much the likes of Tidser and higgy are needed. We were shite. No way any of them are coming through I'm afraid atm.
Also needed were Cardle, Austin, Forster, DJ.

A draw probably a fair result today, Alloa the better team in the first half, it was the reverse in the second half. Lots of good performances but I thought that Forster was outstanding today. Also thought that Cardle looked really good in the second half in a more cental midfield role.

Fair play on that shout as I was against it. He did the damage on the big pitch.
Appreciate Kelheart's and your comments. I'm not often right, but it does happen on the rare occasion!

Does Potter read the comments on Pie and Bovril?!! I just thought that the type of player Alfie is, playing on the wing restricts his playing area, with that being to his detriment. However playing at centre forward gives him much more space to operate in. I'm gutted that I couldn't get to the match today, car trouble, but looking forward to seeing the highlights.

A bit harsh, especially as they sit higher in the table than your team, they're only part-time too!
