  1. Pretty sure there is 18 months left on his contract which would prevent any PCA being used at the moment.
  2. The latest published accounts do not differentiate between football and non football staff. The total staff costs were £1.5m for 73 staff. For the same period Motherwell reported £4.1m in staff costs rising to £5.2m the following year. Livingston do not publish staff costs. We may be benefiting from external support (like most clubs are or have done) but we are clearly not spending in excess of Motherwell.
  3. Am pleased with the appointment. He has some experience and played at a decent level. Those attributes alone make it a step up for us. The cyclical and short term nature of football management mean there is little point in looking too far ahead. Given our predicament success will initially see us staying in the division, beyond that ........
  4. The bar is extremely low at the moment - all I can focus on at the moment is staying up.
  5. Looks like Wotherspoon off to Tannadice according to Daily Record.
  6. Daily Record saying Wotherspoon is off to Dundee Utd. Not sure if that'll happen before you meet them at the weekend. Guess you have replacement lined up?
  7. Don't have particularly strong views on Davidson but he's not on my absolutely not list. At this stage if he can steady the ship and get us away from the threat of relegation then I'd be happy. Can't pretend I'd be disappointed if the Thomas rumour was true. However, the way things have been since he extended his contract, I can understand if he wanted to leave. Would like him to stay, on his own terms, and be part of the rebuild otherwise it benefits no-one.
  8. Great to get a positive result albeit against a relatively poor side. Hopefully a good confidence booster Thought we played fairly well for the most part but we seem to slow it right down at times and those pass backs still give me the fear.
  9. Have to disagree with you, we managed to put ourselves in trouble long before tonight.
  10. That there is only one KPI is interesting and hopefully encouraging. I am guessing there was more about the "process" before. If the aim really is to stay in this league, hopefully they back that up with actions before it is too late. When is the AGM?
  11. Until we appoint an experienced manager and strengthen the squad, nothing is going to change.
  12. Today's loss, the lack of attacking threat against United and the inevitable thrashing from our neighbours surely reinforces the need for experience on both the touchline and on the pitch. Disappointed there has been no announcement on the manager and I fear our activity in the January window is going to be restricted to Beuker's targets. We are starting to get cut adrift and with 2 games in the coming week things are unlikely to improve anytime soon.
  13. Deputising again for @TxRover. Another low scoring week with 2 players netting zero points. The winners, Paisley Ton, Chapelhall chap and mcjameos with 5 points. In first, @mcjameos with 61 points, In second, @Chapelhall chap with 57 points, In third, @Wildrover with 53 points, Weekly high scorers: Week 1 - bagpuss w/9 Week 2 - Buddie Holly, Chapelhall Chap, DreamOakTree1 and weigh cider w/7 Week 3 - Wildrover w/7 Week 4 - jagfox w/11 Week 5 - Mr.Blue w/6 Week 6 - Buddie Holly w/5 Week 7 - cb_diamond, Richey Edwards and williebraveheart w/7 Week 8 - ++Ammo - Airdrie++ w/6 Week 9 - ++Ammo - Airdrie++, CityDave94 and Zanetti w/4 Week 10 - CityDave94 w/8 Week 11 - keyser_soze w/6 Week 12 - Rael Rover w/9 Week 13 - mcjameos w/6 Week 14 - Dysart, keyser_soze, mcjameos and Paisley Ton w/5 Week 15 - Wildrover w/6 Week 16 - AirdrieOnion, AndyDD, Mr November, Paisley Ton, weigh cider, Wildrover and williebraveheart Week 17 – Paisley Ton, Chapelhall chap and mcjameos w/5
  14. Noticed this earlier when trying to find the article posted by @an86. Assumed the Dunfermline Press were just catching up on what was reported before the Morton game. However your observation has now got me thinking.......... surely not.
  15. Am fairly comfortable that no announcement on Veldman's replacement has been made, provided the club are actively working towards it. The apparent lack of preparedness, rightly or wrongly, makes it pretty clear Veldman walked. We need to ensure we make the right appointment and would assume that process takes time. However, as others have said, the comms so far have been poor. The members (surely) and other fans deserve to know the club are pursuing a replacement and not relying on another inexperienced assistant. I find the lack of clear comms baffling especially at a time when the club try to sell half season tickets.
  16. Thought I would give this a go. Friday night game and it's on TV. United looking to bounce back after their first league defeat and Queen's looking increasingly unlikely win. Even if a new manager is appointed, not sure what can be done in the time available with the current squad. Can only see this going one way ........ home win
  17. Ooft, literally seconds from being where we deserve to be. What a time to be a QP fan............ actually it feels warmly familiar. Anyway that's enough negativity from me, more than half the season remains, a new manager is (hopefully) incoming and the January window is a few weeks away. What could possibly go wrong ?
