  1. Quite happy with that to be fair. D.McKay aggressive and gets across ground well. Agree with everyone else than WG is a better option than McKenna he misplaced so many passes tonight. But I take it WG has decided to step back from playing. Connelly has to play every week. Reilly a lot better tonight. Paton has to pass the ball he holds onto it to long for me. Wilson to add to midfield and alternate between Cochrane and McGrory beside him. Big cheque for that tonight
  2. Seriously do one!! That is total nonsense we have had a poor start. Get behind the team not spout garbage. Get Connelly and Wilson back in the team we will be a totally different side. Agree with most comments that WG has to play. Why not move Mckenna to CB with D.McKay. All thistle fans said he was better at CB than RB. Play East a LB. Were we have 3 options.
  3. 100% agree that we need a proper centre half. Paul McKay has had a terrible start to the season every striker has bullied.him in the games I have seen. Always thought Dave McKay was hard done to getting dropped. He will come in now and hopefully plays well and keeps the jersey. Today was really poor first half again. Gave Falkirk to much space. Connor Murray totally missing today and Toddy played out of position all game. Frustrating to say the least. Paton should have scored more but taking too many touches for me. Onto Ibrox
  4. All this talk of a big target man. I like the fact we have mobile centre forwards with Paton, Reilly, Ruth and Connelly. When we had Cameron it was to easy to punt the ball forward and play off second balls. Put it into channels and these guys can work the defenders. I don't won't a target man I would prefer us to stick to the principals and play better football.
  5. Am I the only one that thinks that Dave McKay was hard done on to being dropped. I honestly thought that Paul McKay was our weakest link. At least Dave has a bit of physicality about himself.
  6. Well today was a major shock to the system. Defensively we need to be stronger. P.Mckay let a 5ft forward bully him. D McKay played similar to the Annan game and need to be more aggressive. Big McKenna is having a tough time just now he looks like a player that plays on confidence let's get behind him I heard some stupid shouts at him today. When McGrory went off Cochrane should have dropped in to his position but did not have that discipline. Connelly was a disgrace with his sending off total indiscipline. Murray is such a good player but only drifts in and out of games let's get the ball to him a lott more often. Maybe with Connelly suspended he might see a lot more of the ball. After the managers interview there might be a few changes next sat with Reilly Ruth and Wilson and hopefully Todd available. Paton needs a partner upfront. I thought he had a couple of chances today and the way he played I would not have him taking the penalty. Thankfully it is only the first game. A special mention to all the Clyde fans who made total arses of themselves with the disabled fan in the stand. Ridiculous
  7. Really looking forward to our first league game on Saturday. After the disappointment of the Annan result we have really bounce back and a visit to Ibrox to look forward to and extra money coming into the club. If Todd has a broken toe we will be missing for at least 4 weeks. Will be interesting to see who WG plays in key positions. I would expect the 2 McKays to be the centre back partnership. Other interesting position is centre midfield with WG playing on Saturday ahead of Cochrane. Don't know if Wilson will be fit enough to return for this game but will WG see himself in there beside McGrory or Cochrane. I suppose also who will replace Todd possibly Mckechnie at this time due to injuries etc Clyde have had a inconsistent start to the season beating Morton and running Falkirk close losing to Bonnyrigg and getting thumped by Hibs. They are a group of seasoned professionals in there squad and have a lot of experience. We need a good start to continue the feel good factor we are enjoying under WG. Would still like a we update from the club even on official site or twitter
  8. We need Aberdeen to win as if Raith win or win on pens they will go through as have better goal difference
  9. Do Aberdeen not need to win game to win group as Raith would go to 9 points
  10. Would like to see a weekly update from club either on Twitter or YouTube just to keep the communication going during the season
  11. Was impressed with our play on Saturday. A continuation of passing the ball and only into area when no other options. I agree Annan was a blip that could possibly see us miss out on qualifying. We had notable performances on Saturday. Thought Dave McKay was excellent all game and was more aggressive than before. Though McKenna was good on Saturday pushing forward and supporting attacks. Good to see Wilson back in as he gives us a physicality that our other midfielders do not give but he is a few weeks behind in sharpness and look knackered at the end. Currie had a couple of cracking saves from the penalties and we dispatched all of our with ease. Paton is like a new signing this year physically very strong and very good link up play. He is leading line very well with the extended absences of Reilly and Ruth. Connelly is a far better player supporting the forward and should weigh in with a good few goals this season. Don't imagine Ayr will want to do us any favours but they really need a win to kickstart their season so hoping they give Annan a game and leave us with a chance of qualify. Regarding the give players a new contract a think we had the same conversation last year. So lets see how the season pans out.
  12. Have to say that was a huge improvement of Saturday. The work rate itself was increased dramatically. I said after Saturday Toddy is so much more influential in the wide left and it so much more at home there. Have to agree thought McGrory and Cochrane were very good in midfield and dictated the game for us. Good switches of play and quick passing to feet and space. Paton put in a cracking shift without seeing a lot of the ball until last 20 minutes when game stretched. Every player had a positive impact on our result. I agree with WG defence has to be more physical in there approach they are big lads and should you their physical ability. Muir, Gibson and McMahon will assist as the season goes on. Ayr were a big side compared to us and but it made no difference as they could not get close to us at times. Currie had a really good game and had a few good saves as well and some good reactions. All in all happy with that St Johnstone will be a totally different proposition on Saturday I would imagine du to their poor start last night.
  13. Well that burst the bubble of optimism. Thought we had strengthened our defence but today looked even more vulnerable than before. Currie coming for a punch he did not need to come for. Todd overplaying in midfield rather removing it quicker. Really disappointed with our forward players going missing for to long in games. Murray especially. Paton worked hard with a nice goal but needs help. WG has to bin 3 at the back. Morrison has to defend and leave the passing the ball to people that can. Our defence getting bullied by Tommy Goss should be a wake up call for WG.
  14. Strips will be available for team just not for shop I would.imagine
  15. Would take Ugwu as another striker would allow us to mix it up a bit. On trial at Falkirk just now
  16. Reilly back fit after today Ruth and Wilson have not trained properly since return. East should be back training this week.
  17. Totally agree. We cannot be talking a high figure here as he was only permanently with us for one season. What are we talking 5k maximum. Would take Cammy Smith from them in exchange. Think that boy is a good player.
  18. Have to say have been impressed by WG's policy of sorting out the poor back line from last season and installing a bit of height and strength in that area. Also give him the scope for formation changes as well. I think we still need another GK, a wide player, centre midfielder and another striker. Whether these would be some loans or permanent signings.
