Cochrane dropped for Gordon interesting

It's went all quite after Todd and McKay signed but that was after a couple of wins. As previous poster said I think we have the core of a team. Need a couple of solid defenders an experienced solid midfielder and some forwards that know the route to goal. McKay will be one of our main CB. I would like to see East play left back as he is good on ball and physically strong. If WG continues to play he could be our right back. Getting a forward that scores goals cost money so that might mean we have to sign potential.

Was thinking along the same lines. We could get another experienced CB to play alongside McKay. East has done well enough there why not play him at LB if he stays he is strong and good on the ball. I would like us not to have to totally rebuild again for next year. Going on last night's game WG should definitely play on next year but does he want the extra pressure of managing the team as well. Midfield wise Cochrane and McGrory are still young and are learning. But still think we needs somebody with experience in there as well. WG should have a lot of contacts in the game and hopefully he can influence players to come and play for us. I know we are losing games but we are playing better football than before we just can't score. Connelly last few games have been poor he needs to play either upfront or as a 10. Did not reise O'Connor was out of contract in the summer. I slated his first couple of games but he has turned out to be a good defender. He will get championship offers I would imagine.

This game really is a must win I would think for us. We played well for abut 60 mins in the final but it has been the same story all season. Poor quality finishing and when we do not take they chances we really struggle to not let the opposition score. What I did like about Sunday was the limitation on punts up the park as had 2 small guys upfront. Connelly was not in the game at all for me. He is wasted out on the right. I would have thought it would have been more beneficial to have him and Roy up top with Paton on the right. Cochrane and McGrory had good first halves. How many times have they actually played together as AJ always like to play one or other if I remember with all the tinkering. Cameron is available for Friday night but do we think WG will bring him back in? Hopefully Raith can at least draw with Dunfermline to keep us close.

Right everyone what's your line up for Sunday. With Johnston, Folarin and Junior injured and Cameron and Gordon cup tied. Thankfully we have players back available. I'm not for the diddy cup final we have had horrible season and it would be good to get some smiles on our faces. Here is my team of available players and to be honest save pumping the ball forward to Cameron.

The midfielder Blues from Morton always impressed me. Also Maxwell from Ayr but AJ did knock back the chance to resign him for this season

WG should go for it. Play with pace upfront. Folarin and Connelly up top in behind Todd Cochrane McGrory(if fit) Johnston WG east O'Connor and Cooper at the back.

I'm just thinking now about next season. We only have McKay, Chima, Cochrane, Todd and Paton signed up for next year. So again we have a rebuild this summer. Do we think the BOD will give WG the job if we almost definitely go down. He has a lot of contacts I would imagine in the game. Do we want to keep any of the other players in the squad that has had a really poor season this year. East Rae Connelly McGrory Fitzpatrick have proved they can play at this level this year I think and I would like them to stay but it all went quiet after Todd and McKay signed up. Nditi started the season superbly but tailed of and fell out of favour but there could be a good player if played in his right position and he can cut out the errors. To me guys like Junior,Roy, Joseph, Cooper, Debayo would be better leaving. Liddle, Cameron, Johnston, Gordon and O'Connor will all go back to parent clubs. We need to get hunger back into the squad for a fight to get back to the championship as their will be a lot of team throwing a lot of money about for players.

Well I think WG will realise he made a huge mistake with today's line up. Why Liddle instead of Cochrane. What does big Innes gives us in this team. It is just an excuse for players to punt the ball up the pitch. Why Connelly off at half time he is the only one with something different. God knows how he will line up next week

Cochrane and Connelly back in for this one. Think WG should make some changes. Move himself to right. Move Todd out of middle he is lost in there. Give Folarin a chance

Has there been any other news about WG signing anyone up for next year. Surely Rae must be in his thoughts as he has proved himself since Sol left. Understand players will want to stay in Championship if we lose our fight.

Checked the lineup on Twitter and got the subs page first. Absolutely buzzing to see Connolly and Cochrane on the bench today. Saw the lineup, saw Joseph, face palm. Totally agree 5 at the back I would imagine. Connelly and Cochrane should not be risked today.

This I a free hot for us today. We are expected to lose but with Connelly Cochrane and McGrory nearing a return it will give WG some more selections to choose from.

To be fair Toddy has been posted missing for last 2 games.

I totally agree with Fae the Briggs post. We desperately need players back especially Connelly as our forwards are really struggling and he was the only one consistently scoring goals. I would when we get players back to see WG back on the right whether it is FB or RM. Big Cameron works hard but he and Junior are not going to pull us out of this horrible season.

He said on commentary he should be back for this week.

Connelly said he hopes to be back in squad for next week. McGrory and Cochrane a couple of weeks away and Fitzpatrick still hobbling about Palmerston so imagine he is longer term. We were horrific today even WG was of the pace. No passing agree if Todd was not captain he should have been off. Roy is exactly what we were told at the start of the season by Partick fans. No wonder they let Gordon leave on loan he was totally anonymous. We were second to every ball and just lumped it hoping for the best. The fight is on just to finish 9. I do not honestly think we can do anything more than that. We chased the game but Raith love it because we put everything in the air and that is what they like to defend. Not looking forward to Rugby Park next week at all.
