I am not honestly bothered about Josh Rae leaving. Sol was a far superior goalkeeper when he settled. Only got his position back as Sol recalled Middlesbrough. Does not come out of 6 yard box and slow on distribution in my opinion.

He was only at us for 1 season as a signed player so we would not even be due that much probably about 5 grand

Under 23 s require compensation to move. As I believe there is no limit but depends how long player has been at club. Most of ours have been at club for one year except Fitzpatrick. If can't agree then I would imagine tribunal like Lewis Ferguson a few years ago going to Aberdeen. But the fact nobody has signed with anyone maybe means no one is willing to pay what we are asking. With the rules these players would have been offered new contracts.

Unless someone pays us compensation Rae, Fitzpatrick, East and Connelly will be going nowhere.

All clubs are due compensation for players under the age of 23 who are offered a new contract before the end of their current deal. Therefore players cannot sign a deal with another club unless compensation is agreed. East, Connelly, Fitzpatrick and Rae would come into that bracket. That's possibly why we have not heard of any of them signing for another club yet.

Agree with that. It is not quite the rebuild as we have managed to keep 5 or 6 good players. I would have thought WG would have these guys a deadline to sign up. Not quite the rebuild AJ managed to land us with every year. I just want a new signing so we can start to look forward.

Connolly checked out weeks before the end of the season. He'll definitely be gone. The only time Fitzpatrick has looked like the player we hoped we'd get has been under WG. You'd like to think he'd give himself another year under WG as a result. East did well for us and I hope he re-signs. I'll be surprised if he has loads of offers elsewhere. That's twice you've said you want him at LB. What have you seen to suggest he could play there? He isn't the quickest and he's only just been converted to CB. It would be a bit much expecting him to go on to another position surely? My own opinion. Good on the ball and would give physicality to the back line.
