Anybody any idea what that club vision statement is about?
They’ve used a lot of words to say they’re trying to give the club a unique image that encourages external investment into DAFC.
Seems to be a clear attempt to try and copy the brand awareness success St Pauli have had through their commitment to progressive causes etc.
Doubt many Pars fans give two fucks about fair play though. If someone dives to get us a last minute penalty to win an important game then no one will turn around and feel guilty about winning in such underhanded fashion.
If McPake moans at the ref or a player gets booked for dissent, does this result in some internal punishment? I’m going to guess no.
Don’t believe it will have the effect they’re hoping for and would assume most fans will have been left too baffled by the statement to care all that much about it in the long run anyway.

United have went way off the boil since beating us in early November. They got away with it that night as well thanks to a couple of keeper errors.
Some achievement to concede only seven goals from 16 matches though tbf.

So, Ayr were brilliant tonight, battered QP at Hampden, should have had 4 or 5 at EEP.
Are they a Top 4 side with a better manager?
As for Rovers, the late goals is just way beyond absurd at this stage. A good night for them with United dropping two.

Rather confused by this BBC headline that Raith should be wary of what happened to QP last season. Our "demise" is entirely of our own making. Raith have signed well this year and have got one of the strongest and experienced benches in the Championship which has help them secure their many late wins. QP went with talented but inexperienced youth who buckled at this level. I am struggling to see any parallels beyond the fact that both clubs were unfancied and at the top of the table unexpectedly.
It’s the BBC - they do not look at anything in Scottish football with context or close attention because they couldn’t give a f**k enough to try.
Their logic is purely Team A almost won the league when they weren’t expected to and are now struggling so the same could happen to Team B.

I know Littler has been amazing for a 16-year-old but being 8/1 to win the world title is a little absurd, no?
Michael Smith is 10/1 ffs!

Danny Noppert humped 3-0 few folk will have had money on him to win it too
Surely not?

Can see why fans get ignored when folk think there’s no difference for a centre half between playing as a pair or as part of a back three.

If they play for, or have played for Dundee then there’s every chance there’s something to it tbh.

If he gets through he should get a bye as there's no way that Gilding can be allowed within 100 yards of a 16 year old.
Said this to my dad earlier - unfair to make him play an absolute nonce.

The Council Tax freeze decision was fucking insanity tbh.
A deeply flawed and rather pathetic attempt to win over “aspirational” voters.

Cowdenbeath are a club run by losers, for losers.
The quicker they die and their dump of a ground is demolished the better.

Can never accept this argument that finding the right manager takes time. Pretty sure the average managerial reign is still around 18 months, so surely clubs aren’t just assuming their guy will stay for 5-10 years?
1. Why are you getting rid of a manger if you don’t know where you’re going next?
2. Any well-run club should have 3 or 4 realistic names that they would consider appointing if their manager left tomorrow. This gets regularly updated and makes it far less likely you’ll be left scrambling around in the dark.

Wee hammy absolutely bullied bird a few week back. Really like him as a player solid 7/8 out of 10 every week.
I simply to refuse to accept he won’t turn 23 until July.

The vibe around the club couldn’t be more starkly different to this time last season. 4-1 win at Arbroath was one of the great away days of my time. Liquid football in a hurricane, liquid pints, Christmas time, Boateng and wine and Owen Coyle being serenaded at the end.
By children in Christian rhyme?

The issues can co-exist. It's not a one or the other problem.
I agree with that theory but I don’t believe it’s a major issue.
If having the best defensive record in the country - despite not having a reliable keeper - is not enough to see us succeed, then the main problem is clearly at the other end of the pitch.

We're worse off for having conceded goals that the keepers shouldn't have.
We’re worse off because we don’t score enough goals, not because we concede too many. The stats show this quite clearly.
There have been goalkeeping errors but not as many as people have claimed. The lack of creativity and a reliable goalscorer are far bigger concerns that should be addressed.

We’ve conceded 38 goals in our last 51 league games.
Having had a wee look, we’ve actually conceded fewer goals than any other SPFL side since the start of last season.
Even if you add in the Highland and Lowland Leagues, only Brechin City, Buckie Thistle and Banks O’Dee have conceded fewer.
I understand why people aren’t happy with Mehmet after Saturday’s performance but to claim we’re struggling due to conceding too many goals is quite frankly utter bollocks.

We've hemorrhaged far too many goals for this to go on any longer.

Could swear I saw a Cowdenbeath fan mocking another club for not having many supporters.
I must be seeing things because that simply cannot have actually occurred.

Get them to f**k for good

Dropping points here would be unthinkable for United. They simply can’t afford to allow Rovers to increase their lead any further.
Game in hand won’t feel very significant if you’re 7 or 8 points adrift.
QP are in utter free fall though and haven’t won in the league for about four months. Should be a comfortable enough away win.

Where’s Burrell off to?

Anyone thinking we should have kept Todorov must not have watched that game last week, Jakubiak can't buy a goal but he's a much better player overall imo.
We need a striker that is far more clinical than either of them.
Both would be absolutely fine if playing alongside a Nicky Clark or Kevin Nisbet who was scoring every other week.

Arbroath vs Dunfermline - Sat 23rd December 🎅🏻

Doesn’t look like Bene will be available, Fisher was sick after his head knock so they might not risk him even if he’s passed his tests.
Would expect something like:
Mehmet
MOH
Comrie
Hamilton
Otoo
Edwards
Chalmers
Allen
Todd
Moffat
McCann
We do have some options though; Breen and/or Fisher could be in back 3, Summers and Wighton are back in contention as well.
Really don’t see Mehmet getting dropped but he needs some solid performances to get the knicker wetters off his back.
