Another 45 minutes of complete and utter garbage.
Bit unfair and pretty inaccurate tbh. There wasn’t much wrong with the performance in the opening half hour.

Thought we were doing alright until the goal but seemed to fall apart afterwards.
Cross shouldn’t be allowed to come in, Mehmet has to do better with the shot and defence just standing watching to allow Fortheringham in. Very poor.
Needs tightened up at the break because this is currently heading to a comfortable 2 or 3 goal win for United.

Not often I would say this but Mon the Pars!
You’re not winning the league, no matter what the result is tonight.

It’s fucking freezing

Once you’ve missed half the season, your campaign is essentially fucked tbh. If Todd has had another set back then that’s just the latest kick in the baws in a season filled with them.

Heard someone say earlier we need a win tomorrow night to have any chance in the title race
I think a win would be more important as we’d move nine points clear of Morton.

Sigh. Already sick of Friday night games! Would imagine the game against Raith in March will be moved to Friday too. We'll have one more Friday game at East End too.
This latest change leaves us with a game on December 30th, January 2nd and now January 5th. Best hope we don't get injuries!
We were going to have games on the 30th Dec, 2nd Jan & 6th Jan before the QP game got moved; hardly a major change.
Selfishly, happy it’s been shifted as there was zero chance I was going through for that one.

Would be good to see KRH and Todd making their returns on Friday night, even if it that’s just cameos off the bench.

Why consciously make a stupid suggestion? Whatever works for you brother, no judgement.
You appear to be unravelling a tad. Probably best to just log out for a bit and try again another time.

Why would they? That's a pretty stupid thing to suggest.
I’m very glad you agree that it would be pretty stupid.

I'd much rather watch those two fixtures, featuring clubs I've never seen play before, over some boring, run of the mill, played 400 times a decade game between two jobber clubs most Scottish football fans are completely nonplussed about. It's a lazy as f**k choice from the BBC.
Weird - it’s almost as if they didn’t consider your own personal preferences when selecting which game to choose?

It's a fixture that's clearly a run of the mill one which is has been played about 400 times in the last decade and one which no one outside the supporters of the 2 clubs care about. A lazy, weird pick from the BBC.
Oh yes, because so many people would care about seeing Dunbar vs Alloa or Tranent vs Forfar right enough.
It was very obvious which game would be chosen for TV when the draw was made. If you don’t like the pick then I suppose you can just not watch it?

Especially when it's a league fixture highly likely to be shown on BBC Scotland on a Friday night. A frankly weird selection.
It’s frankly weird that anyone is even slightly surprised at the pick when it was blatantly obvious it would get chosen as soon as the draw was made.

I would have kept Todorov tbh. I understand the reasons why he wasn’t given a new deal but still, not a decision I would have made.

I don’t mind the length of contract. May 2026 is the end of the season after next.
If it was only 18 months and keeps us up this year and does well next year we’d be raging.
also if we’re wanting him to help sort off field issues surely we want that long term…
You do realise that if he was given an 18 month contract and he did well then the club could simply offer him an extension?

I think Levein certainly *was* a good manager previously but would be concerned that he hasn’t managed a club in over four years and that two-year spell with Hearts is his only club experience in the last 14 years.
Then again, clearly the names at the top of the list said no and pretty much anyone would give the club a better chance of staying up than MacLean.

The first of FIVE consecutive home matches for the Pars and easily the most difficult on paper.
United have been imperious on the road so far, winning five of their six games, scoring 16 goals and conceding just one…eek.
Pars got a much needed win at Morton last time out but will need to improve on recent performances if they’re to get anything at EEP on Friday night. If we play like we did vs Ayr for example, this could get embarrassing.
It was encouraging to see Moffat grab a couple of goals at Cappielow and Ritchie-Hosler return to the bench. Matty Todd is also close to being back and it would be great if Bene could be ready for this one. Our squad isn’t strong enough to cope with several key players being out at the same time.
United will bring through a big following despite this being on the box and hopefully an entertaining game between the Championship’s two biggest teams.

Need to try something to give us more of a consistent attacking threat. Only scored 11 league goals so far and 9 of those were against Morton, QP and Airdrie.
Playing in the margins helped us in League 1 but there’s better opposition and more injuries this season.

I hope John Mcglynn is close to tears in his interview.
He has no tears left after last season tbh.

United are a better side than us but would still hope and expect we can give them a game on Friday.
After that, we have ICT, Arbroath and QP all at EEP; need to be looking for 7 points from those IMO. Might not get that but has to be the aim.

Ref was obviously going to keep playing until they equalised
Aye, I’m sure he was desperate to screw over Ayr United.

Thought the Morton keeper went down in instalments for the second goal and was similarly slow to react to McCann’s free-kick in the second half.
I don’t think any of the other eight sides in the division will have been too intimidated by either side after last night. As pleased/relieved as I am with the win, the lack of quality on show was really stark at times.

United hadn’t done a thing for 30 minutes, so us being overridden is nonsense tbh.
None of it has been good after the goal but saying the whole half is shite as a result is just pub bore stuff.
