  1. Apart from Morton, I can’t remember a good 90 minute performance from us at EEP this season tbh. Always feels like the opposition dominates the middle of the park and we rely on good balls over the top or crosses/cut-backs to create any chances. Feel Moffat and Summers can provide more creativity in the middle but Chalmers and Allan have really struggled to make any impact in most of the games I’ve seen.
  2. Nothing more intimidating than playing your rivals when they’re struggling to field 11 senior players.
  3. I think it’s more hope than expectation from fans thinking there is some in-depth recruitment strategy in play. We have zero scouting department so it’s just a case of McPake phoning his contacts and seeing who might be available or trying to get players in he’s worked with previously. Think The Toun Clock makes a good point about the costs of all the surgeries; KRH alone must have been a minor fortune this season.
  4. St Mirren fans are very consistent tbf; absolutely shocking patter win, draw or lose.
  5. Wee team don’t actually believe they are serious title contenders, surely? United have every advantage available and even scoring late goals just about every single week has only kept you level pegging. Luck like that will always turn. Still, a very good chance to compete in the play-off final and relegate Aberdeen.
  6. We will be - or likely will be - missing Benedictus, Breen, Otoo, Todd, Ritchie-Hosler, O’Halloran and McCann. Chris Hamilton will only play with the addition of a face mask after damaging his cheekbone. Can confidently state that all of those would be included in our best starting XI. It’s right that questions are raised about our summer recruitment and our training/rehabilitation but it’s unsustainable for a squad of our size to deal with that many senior players missing on a regular basis. Still have no idea how we’re 4th.
  7. McPake audio up now - he did not sound remotely optimistic about the Bene injury which is another disaster. Seemed a bit more positive about Breen and MOH though. Otoo apparently pulled out in the warm-up? Did anyone see him at the game?
  8. We haven’t played particularly well in any of the four previous derbies this season and with around half the squad either injured or not match fit, there is little reason to expect that to change on Tuesday. Perhaps McPake should consider sticking one of our substitute keepers up front since that appears to be the wee team’s kryptonite? No idea how ticket sales are going at the moment but assume will still be a good crowd. However, I’m sensing a really apathy around the club just now both on and off the pitch. We’ve won 2 of our last 7 Championship games but somehow still sit 4th. What an absolutely garbage standard this division is.
  9. Hate to break it to you mate but you *are* absolutely shite. The fact that we are too does not change that fact.
  10. Scary thought for Rovers is we may end up playing keepers outfield as well if our injury crisis gets any worse.
  11. The injuries are just a complete joke tbh. Either the unluckiest club in the country or we’re doing something wrong with training/rehabilitation.
  12. I notice Kyle MacDonald is also on a hat-trick for Accies so this is truly a strange day.
  13. Fully expecting a ragdolling here, with another couple of injuries to add to the list. Missing six certain starters from that line-up, we can barely score a goal, that midfield is so easy to play against and keeper is under pressure. Ayr will have to work hard to continue their poor home record today.
