  1. There’s self preservation in every league. Look at the lowland league one team goes down into one of three feeder leagues. Should be 3 down and the champions of east, west and south get promoted but that doesn’t happen. The champions of those leagues need to play in a round robin to see who gets promoted, creating a bottle neck of teams who want to kick on and gain promotion. The same thing the lowland league clubs and fans complain about the top 42 doing to them Those teams also need to have an SFA in order to enter the playoff for promotion. You can apply your same logic to that. There’s no need for an SFA license for a game which will have a hundred folk at it. Point is all clubs have been made aware of the requirements and have been told they can apply for grace periods. Buckie didn’t and aren’t fighting the decision. Maybe because they don’t actually want to come up but that’s speculation
  2. A B team can’t be named champions and therefore can’t be entered into the playoff from the lowland league. Would be interesting to see the situation if it should arise where a 2nd or 3rd placed team are named as champions and put forward for the playoff If Brechin were to be made eligible for the spot they would need to be named champions of the Highland League.
  3. The pedantic reasoning is that the playoff is to be competed by the lowland league champions and the highland league champions. B teams can’t be named as champions of the lowland league therefore the highest placed non B team would then be named as the lowland league champions in the situation a B team finished top of the league. this is covered in the rules and was agreed by all parties There are no rules in place that say a league can nominate a non champion team for a playoff spot or that if a team is not eligible for promotion it gets passed on. Same issue happened last season in the west of Scotland premier where Beith won the league but don’t have an SFA license so couldn’t compete in the playoff round robin for promotion to tier 5. Looks like they will win it again this year and the same thing will happen again. WOSL premier also don’t have the power to nominate the highest ranked licensed team although that may be the way forward.
  4. Don’t think so. We currently have a silver license
  5. Looks like if we finish bottom it will be EK we are playing. Buckie not allowed to compete as they don’t meet minimum license standards
  6. 900 p/w from a club he hasn’t played for?
  7. Last update was that we are continuing to look in the east end of Glasgow with some positive news in the summer before the start of next season. Since then our chairman has announced he is leaving in the summer weeks after getting re elected at the AGM, so I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one. The issues with the stadium is just one of many at the club and why we have been circling the drain. We put a lot of resource into the Crownpoint bid and we came up short, that resource was maybe better spent elsewhere. Hopefully with a chairman who is competent and not a complete wet blanket we can get our act together including a stadium of our own.
  8. It’s only paranoia when it’s not true Jimmy
  9. I’m convinced half the Clyde accounts on here is just the same guy replying to himself.
  10. Appreciate your point and I agree. I called out Scullion in my post previous to the post you quoted. He’s acted poorly and there’s no doubting that, however the difference between him and the fan is that you can almost understand his actions in the heat of the moment as an act of retaliation despite still being wrong. The same can’t be said of the Bonnyrigg fan, he’s acted like a cretin and escalated the situation. Which is why it’s weird people are trying to make this Scullions fault
  11. There are some absolute clowns in our support who act like idiots granted, but you can’t justify a Bonnyrigg fan spitting on a Clyde player and make it about Clyde fans causing trouble
  12. The fan that spat on him caused the issue. If he hadn’t of done that and took his medicine after giving it tight to scullion during the game nothing would have happened . Unless you are saying what Scullion done means he deserves to be spat on by a fan, in which case I ask you what level of abuse or what would have to be said by a player to a fan to warrant being spat on by an opposing fan? We have all shouted stuff sure, but expecting players not to react to any abuse is how these problems exist. There are some football fans that expect to be able to shout abuse and never have any consequences, they then go back and feel like a hard nut and tell there pals about it all in the pub it’s embarrassing. It’s something I have experienced working in retail years ago where folk would just give cheek, be rude and abusive and expect to get away with it because I’m at my work, it’s how these cretins exist and keep doing it. Clyde fans are also absolutely chronic for this behaviour at times also btw. Spitting on someone is absolutely manky, degrading and potentially dangerous considering what diseases can be passed by doing it. This is why laws exist that classify this as assault. The fact I have to yet again explain all this on a football forum with adults is utterly embarrassing Also btw the behaviour you point out about Clyde fans in Forfar was rightfully called out on here as them being morons and sore losers, yet in this situation you have made it the players fault for some reason
