  1. Couldn`t Blantyre have filled their team with U20`s players?
  2. Darvel have a playing squad close to 30off players
  3. How they cope with the lack of interest and not winning... a couple of seasons not winning and the "new toy" gets boring and less fun - needs more maintenance (cash) and becomes a chore... The drain on the resources and disposable income is then reassessed and withdrawn, then the fall starts. We`ve seen it all before in the junior & senior ranks I`ll give it 3 seasons, 5 at a stretch
  4. Gall is a bit of a clown when it comes to his carry on at the games, shouting across the park for subs to be made on Saturday at Medda... He was trying to get loud and mouthy about Ayr United with his band of little hanger-ons and was quickly shut down by a Medda fan and he never peeped a word after that, quite amusing.
  5. What might help the Glens is if Beith & Meadow play their youngsters now that they are safe as both have had strong U20 squads. Meadow had 5 or 6 in the squad at Troon and Beith have had them in their squads too.
  6. Meadow thumped Penicuik in the cup so I`m guessing west sides are stronger than east, so I`d expect Darvel to waltz it through the play off tbh. That`s the ideal scenario, so as then we don`t need to listen JG wittering pish anymore
  7. Bryan Boylan is 32 now and still fit as a fiddle - he`d be a starter in pretty much all teams in the division and still should be for Talbot in my opinion. He`s older than Shankland by a few years and still fitter, leaner and faster. The shape of Shankland is a disgrace for someone being paid to play football.
  8. Annbank Amateurs were supposed to be playing as Annbank Juniors next season but that isn`t happening now. The lads that were promised WOSFL football next season are already looking for new clubs.
  9. I was told weeks ago that the U20 coaches were taking over the first team for next season, with Kenny Henderson taking over the U20`s
  10. The Buffs 20`s folded last year less than a 1/3 of the way into the season
  11. U20`s play on a Friday night so as to have players available for first team squads. The U19`s play on a Sunday afternoon so no reason for a player to miss out unless they are rested for a starting place on the Saturday afternoon. I know Pollock Clydebank, Troon, Benburb, Beith, Rob Roy, Blantyre and Bonnyton have all played U19 or U20`s players in the league this season. With others having them on the bench, so no excuse for only having 3 subs including a GK and the manager.
  12. With 2 games left, why not just play them and finish the season properly?
  13. Chris Strain coached the U19`s that are in the final and his son plays in that team.
  14. Yep, while having a coffee at work catching up on the chatter of the league. Would you rather I named your committee members that were openly discussing it? Sorry, not the done thing...
  15. With more of a life than living on a forum board... The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint,
  16. It was from one of their committee... travel costs a factor also
  17. I`m hearing that the difference is Darvel want to win the league and go up....Talbot want to win it, but don`t want to go up... (Maybe happy being the big fish in the wee pond... don`t fancy promotion and not being the Big Fish and not winning all the time?
  18. Ya think? I know Mick personally and wish him all the best for his future, he`s a great lad and just wants to play at as high a level as possible and win things. As for McLuckie name dropping Clydebank... I think Bankies fans would have more of an issue about that tbh
  19. A bit naive to think the player wouldn`t mention who else was looking for his services to any other interested clubs? Typical McLuckie trying to score a point against another club, if that`s how he gets his kicks, carry on... personally I think it makes him look quite petty. But, in the grand scheme of things... who actually gives a feck!
  20. Not true, there was nothing at the request of the clubs... clubs were simply told what conferences they were in with one being "facilitated" as to where they wanted to play.
  21. Younger players can play up for 12 league games as a trialist without signing or being released from their SYFA forms - so it is pretty easy.
  22. Utter shambles... 2 season ban and double the fine to £500 The worst ones are the clubs with younger age groups (U19 / U18 / U17) that don`t bring up the younger ones if struggling for players and just fold the team - it`s too easy
