Seems quick for a fallout or to alienate certain players from the squad completely. There's also been a few games this season that either tactically/personnel-wise were a bit baffling or just the players look frustrated - and not in a 'riled up' way that can be conducive to good performances. It's early days mind you, and I know we're always seen as good for scattergunning managers, but I can't remember an appointment at Tranent, recently anyway, that's had the groans and murmurs from the support this early on. I don't know if it's something to do with the fact he's been here before and was maybe seen as a bit of a strange choice when we brought him back. Who knows.

11 points from 18 isn't disastrous on paper, it just isn't the form we would've expected. What's more concerning is the solid squad we have don't look particularly gelled or happy under the current manager.

Pair of us have made an absolute James Blunt of close-season affairs, when it would've been perfectly easy for both clubs to just go about their business, build a strong side and avoid any sort of controversial fanfare. Who knows, maybe the social media guy at EK is lining up the 'we'll endeavour to do better' post to follow on from the 'lol we couldn't give a flying f*ck' Bart Simpson meme. In the wake of the Forster sh*t show, we're in a glass house and in no position to chuck stones, but I do definitely feel like those at EK are far more keen to embrace and milk the circus.

Kennedy seemed to hint it wasn't Lafferty, Goodwillie or Griffiths last night as they were the three names constantly thrown about that he half-dismissed. Cillian Sheridan or Ally Roy seem likely.

Don't know if any of this can be classed as 'savvy' from a comms perspective. Anyone can get people talking for the wrong reasons.
