  1. I don't know the intricacies of how the club ownership works, but as St Mirren and Motherwell are fan owned why can't they be the first clubs to take an official, fan driven stand against VAR?
  2. I take it they've devoted hours of discussion to the Hibs statement and eradicating the sectarianism issue they raised.
  3. Maxwell - 'This includes all key external stakeholders having a better understanding of the laws of the game' In other words, the fans are thickos that don't know the rules and need educating.
  4. Saw on a Twitter thread midweek about the York City owners refunding fans after a 6-1 humiliation at Altrincham that almost a decade of awfulness after his spell there, Macnamara is still regarded as the benchmark for disastrous managers at the club. I wonder if he's liked anywhere.
  5. When he's not involved in the chat, Kenny Miller's standing looking like he's thinking about whether to get a curry or a Chinese on the way home.
  6. An increasing number could go along with it too.
  7. They've officially concluded Cormack is the root of the problem and he has to go immediately.
  8. The break is just another disruption to an already start stop schedule badly hit by international breaks. Also, when a club goes out of a cup competition early, you can add in even more blank weekends. I'm totally against it and the bullshit reason for it.
  9. Amazon have that facility. The difference is remarkable. Whichever TV Exec decided that what would improve coverage was introducing the pub experience of being sat next to two bores who sit and chat inane garbage for the entire match needs taken out and shot.
  10. It wasn't a referendum. Those that weren't 100% against it initially didn't actually vote it in. As you say it was imposed. It was just an opinion. The anti-VAR zealots had has much input into the decision as the others did. It's weird behaviour throwing tantrums and slaughtering folk who weren't 100% against it.
  11. Wow. How amazing are you. The one thing worse that a bod loser is a bad 'winner'. Well done you two. Well done. Hoping something would work is not the same as wanting it in the first place. But carry on gloating, having tantrums and decrying anyone that wasn't 100% FUKC VAR but kept an open mind, something quite rare in Scottish football. You do it so well.
  12. That's exactly how I thought it'd work. It'd add an extra pair of eyes to help refs see what was going on, especially with obvious cheating, and quickly clarify other matters. But no. It ignores blatant rule breaking to focus on minutiae and ruin games. I was reminded how needless it is when seeing a couple of non-VAR games recently. Normal TV coverage and replays cleared up virtually all decisions within seconds, as was the case before VAR's introduction. They don't get absolutely everything right but neither does VAR. The difference in accuracy doesn't justify the financial and emotional cost of the game ruiner. It's not needed. It never was needed. Get in binned ASAP.
  13. Loy was with nine clubs in his career. He played twice for Rangers, the lowest number of appearances for any of them. He also played 5 times for Scotland U-21s. He's a classic example of the ridiculous ex-Rangers/Celtic life-time honour bestowed on their rejects by the bigot fawning media.
  14. Of course no mention of the clear St Johnstone penalty for Taylor having both his arms wrapped round Jaiyesimi during the clips until he finally let go to try and boot the ball clear but the Saints guy got there first to score. Poetic justice.
  15. I know they've still to be scored but I'm never impressed with penalty takers being highly ranked as goalscorers, especially when they play for the Old Firm.
  16. There was actually no need to doctor the shirt for the comments to be valid.
  17. Wouldn't be surprised if that's FIFA/UEFA's plan. Goal line technology, VAR and now the first step to fully automated offside is continually undermining their role. They're heading the same way as bus conductors, milkmen and supermarket check-out operators.
  18. Thought the police may move the Hearts tie but I see Ainslie's capacity is 3612 so no reason it should be moved. Well, apart from the police being the police of course. Don't get the attraction of Clyde v Aberdeen. Forfar v Hibs would better for the BBC's love of a potential upset. A real old fashioned ground and you'd get a great atmosphere. They might also be tempted by Ross County v Partick given what happened in the play-off. But of course our public broadcaster is a law unto themselves so will probably go for Brora v Cove as both teams are called Rangers.
  19. Neither it is. It's just over the border from the edges of Salford. I've never been interested enough to check it out before and being so close to Salford Quays just accepted it was. Why do City fans say Salford then? Just a poor wind up or ignorance? That welcome to Manchester poster for Teves was still correct as well as being brilliant though!
