  1. First thanks to all the fans who have supported us through thick and thin one thing is for sure no club in Scotland has had a harder time the last 5 years than cowden in ma opinion so for any fan to continue support and come out week after week I commend u. We will 100% be better next season of that I have no doubt. This season hasn't been what we all wanted and I cannot tell u how much hard work is going in to bring success back. We will have new players incoming for sure and the dynamic of the team and style will change. Mon the cowden
  2. Hope a decent turn out in calums first home game. Watched stirling other night and yet again they were fantastic so many good players in that team. Couple lads missing today due to illness. We are moving forward with signing targets and have some lads agreed that will no doubt come out in coming weeks. Hopefully the fans can keep backing the trust/season tickets etc it's absolutely vital in order to try be as competitive as possible. Mon the cowden.
  3. Sam has been class. Developed really well and played every game. Have to remember he has just turned 17!. Physically good size and his passing and composure for a young lad is very good. He will have learned a lot beside davo again part of the appeal of dunfermline allowing the lad to come here. Also just a great great kid with an unbelievable attitude. The boys and staff like him too. The loan for me couldn't have worked out better for all parties.
  4. The team were very good and in Andy Black we had a fantastic performance and reason we brought him to the club. There was a high intensity to the team. After going a goal up kept creating and trying to get 2nd and 3rd. Team was solid but played with quality and passed the ball really well. Created I'd say 6 or 7 very good chances. Berwick were strong with exception of their 2nd gk. We simply were better than them on the day. You can tell there will be a change in style in terms of press and intensity. It's a good result and performance.
  5. Just to clarify a couple things so no confusion. Jack ruddy is injured at present hence he hasn't been available last few games. We can't sign another gk as it's after 31st March. Davo was ill today but hopefully back next week. Sam young was allowed to play for dunfermline for his youth team for a final and big game but again should be back next Saturday. Dean ritchie unfortunately got injured at training and likely out for 4 weeks approx. Well done to the new gaffer today and to the boys who thoroughly deserved their victory and worked their nuts off. Lot of quality on the ball and real fantastic desire and intensity. Mon the cowden.
  6. New chapter and fresh start for the club. Colin Jack has been exceptional not only in his assistant manager role but then stepping up to take the team. Calum has an excellent record and is in my opinion going to change the fortunes of the club moving forward. Hope the fans can continue to back the new manager and ultimately the club. Mon the cowden.
  7. Pretty sure the club has always in the past voted against or abstained. The money albeit still small in my opinion will be needed for the upcoming new season. Hopefully the fixtures fall kindly so we can get good crowds at home against them.
  8. Well done to JB. Their support been phenomenal all year and I'm sure it will continue. Not just JB but support to all fans who have turned out and dug deep to support the club. Especially the fans who travel to away games. Class. All players and staff will be in attendance at JB Saturday after game. Cheers.
  9. Just to clarify the chief scout doesn't bring people in but will scout players we have either asked him too along with the other scouts as part of his team. He will also bring some players to our attention that are showing up well and there is a process in place to fine tune that. Kenny done well setting up his network and his reporting. He has now moved on and the club will also. Kenny goes with our best wishes.
  10. We have 10 players signed on for most of next season. With one more to be announced soon as committed. Sam newman is under contract with Spartans for another season.
  11. Pitch inspection been done and game on.
  12. Chris hasn't left no he is on loan until end of season with rosyth.
  13. Just a post to say we will sign another lad tonight more a signing for next season but opportunity came to get him in now. I know people will ask about how many players have we signed etc however all I would say is this will be our 32nd player this season which clearly is a lot and not to be unexpected due to how we had to start the season. I do recall in championship days I'm sure we had 37 in one season. We will have 21 signed players after tonight which for next season will be too many and the plan and structure will be to go with a squad of 18 maybe 19. Just wanted to put this out there b4 any lads question what is going on. Also this signing won't cost the club any money. I hope posters who have left continue to back the club with their support in whatever shape or form they can. I cannot stress how vital genuinely vital it is to get every supporter supporting this club in any way they can. Less support means tougher times ahead that would be the same for any football club. Poor result Saturday clearly and I personally thought first half we did very well albeit got caught out with their 2 goals we should have scored minimum once in that first half and once the 2nd half went 3 nil and a man down it was a case of ensuring not getting a heavy defeat against the best team and players in the league. Mon the cowden
  14. Firstly berwick the unbeatable is a troll and his points are not informed and are aimed at replys which I have given. Its also personal which I find dis tasteful. I apologise to the core group of fans who perhaps didnt like my reply. Its my intention to come on here only to update key supporters and I find myself having to unfortunately being now likely taking a step back from posting and updating fans. Its difficult to keep fans up to speed unless they wish to attend meetings which I know a hell of a lot of people cannot. 1 1milliion percent can take criticism of certain things but i see posts previously which are simply not true which Is why I would then post to tell the truth. We were not relegated due to people stuck in their ways a FACTOR perhaps and a valid opinion. We were relegated due to not winning enough football games. Directors dont pick football teams or players and gave a budget that should never had a team relegated. A lot of progress is being made on and off the pitch currently and i hope the clubs fans can see that.
  15. Early days but looking at 2 to 3 weeks minimum I reckon. The lads genuinely down about it sadly as he wants so badly to play his part but he will get the chance again. Just needs to take his time and maybe not rush him back and gey him fitter. As you say he looked good when he came on. On his day he could b best midfielder in this league.
  16. Berwick on a good run I see so u "pop" up... bannit.
  17. 1. Where does anyone attack? anyone ahhahahahaha. As for the team there is actually only 20 signed which is lower than 6 months ago. Also you are an absolute bell end.
  18. Thanks to all the fans who came to game to brave rank weather again. Its vital the club have your continued support. The players appreciate it too. Cheers.
  19. Well done to the TEAM winning and continuing what has been an upturn in performances and results. Mention to young 17 year old sam young who did well even though only has 1 training session with the players.
  20. The club appealed based on comments by the referee at the time and due to video evidence once appealing the ref changed his thoughts to be the actual foul was the reason why he was sent off. Anyhow it is what it is we move on but someone like davo is hugely important for the starting x1. He will be missing for 2 games and will be able to be selected against celtic b.
