Once last season.Pitch was atrocious and the sinkhole in the corner is alarming . Looks like the whole place is short of investment.

I can’t fathom why Dumbarton fans are so passive?

I’m sure they do but they have to name who owns the club? Maybe if the lackeys that are “running” the club stepped down and left it to the owners it would force THEIR hand?

You do have to wonder who Dumbarton say actually owns the club in there SFA licensing application?

Or have more then 1 side of the ground to view from Owners who actually care about the football club should be a requirement too!

There should also be standards for playing surfaces….

Entry level is fine for Mickey Mouse part time football with a few hundred people at it.

Keeps clubs like Pollok and Beith down without major infrastructure expense with their pitches.Yet it’s apparently ok if the pitch is an absolute shambles as long as it’s the right size and flat like Dumbarton.

I’m sure having those extra covered areas up to 500 will make it much safer What will happen to the clubs that are currently in the SPFL that are entry level like Airdrie etc?

It’s no real surprise that shite SPFL 2 clubs are desperately trying to come up with ways to make it harder for non league clubs to get promoted given that every club that’s gone down hasn’t come back! Albion Rovers still trousered £50k from the SPFL despite being bottom and getting relegated whilst champions Spartans got £0 for winning their league and beating Brechin and Rovers to get promoted. it’s the Self Preservation Football League.

There are 2 AUTOMATIC relegation places from the EFL. I can’t think of a country with a pyramid system which doesn’t have an automatic relegation place?

Clubs that have been hanging on to cash handouts from the clubs higher up who actually bring the cash in.

It’s got nothing to do with standards and everything to do with self preservation. it’s pathetic that minnow part time clubs like to keep other minnow part time clubs out of their little club.

Apparently the SPFL have voted through a change that requires clubs to have a bronze club license to be able to play in it.

Yoker only ever leased Holm Park from WDC,it was always council owned. Its now run by HPCFA which is made up of reps from Clydebank,Yoker and the Council.

St Rochs away will be something else

Holm Park is a council facility and was upgraded by them. Dumbarton FC own the ground and are a private company,big difference.
