The media don't have anything to do with this award
Pretty sure managers and coaches read newspapers and speak to journalists.
Not to mention that Premier League managers will have bias that managing in the Premier League is harder than L1 and factor in the points I made above.
Happy to be proved wrong and hope it's awarded to JM.

That's my view. I'd hedge my bets that it will be awarded to Docherty because it's his 1st managerial post, he's made top-6 with a newly promoted side and the ... ahem ... Dens Park pitch saga.

On the Greaves site it’s got the gold champions badge embroidered on it and the O’Neills embroidery is golden as well.
Those would be the "embellishments" I am referring to - along with the serial number. The top is the same one without those changes.

Isn’t a completely different top though with a bespoke embroidered badge etc?
No. There are some embellishments to the badge but it's just the regular home top from what I can see.

Thanks @BPM and @HopeStreetWalker.
I had worried the thread had become too peaceable and self-congratulatory the last few weeks.
You've restored the natural balance

Outstanding performance considering the circumstances and over the moon Nizzy is finally getting the recognition he deserves. There is so much quality to his game with and without the ball that has largely been overlooked IMO.
As for the ref, he took the easy decisions - high boot=red card, Tidser falling over in the breeze - but shirked a few contentious calls like Nesbitts ball staying in play and Morrisons penalty claim.
It's hard not to love a single one of this team

They are great examples of our style yeah. And great examples of why there remain a huge number of absolute dolts in the KM7 still shrieking about passing it backward or sideways. Last season sure there was a lot of pointless shit, but this season, and those goals show it perfectly, has been a masterclass of keeping the pitch big, moving the ball around, and probing for gaps and mistakes. Down one side, back, across, down the other side.... An absolute nightmare to concentrate and maintain shape when we are doing that.
Agree and I don't think it's appreciated how big our pitch seems to be compared to other, long-established grounds in Scottish football. Craig Ireland even mentions it in the WDHS podcast and that was almost 20 years ago!

It might be tough seeing these clubs ahead of us the pecking order at times but I'd far rather our model than theirs.
Yes but didn't Dee4Life have "our" model and gave it up to accept the investment from their benefactor which has led them to this situation?
I think it highlights that the fans leg of the stool must always be the strongest one.

Morrison for Scotland would at least be entertaining! Last night was predictable and boring
Ach, maybe it's just I've just been spoiled domestically

Sorry to intrude but do you lot find parking at the stadium okay? Yesterdays visit to the Falkirk stadium was an absolute shambles with car park entrances being fenced off even though there was plenty of room spaces and stewards screaming at folk
Sounds like a different approach taken from a normal match day to be honest.
As others have said it's a free-for-all on leaving but generally there aren't issues.

Onus clearly on SPFL to detail valid concerns as to why artificial surfaces should be ruled out especially after the Dundee debacle at the weekend.
Additionally they will also need to suggest how they will fix the redistribution of funds1 so that clubs across the pyramid can replace or maintain grass pitches to the perceived "standard" that top-flight football deserves - in their opinion ...
Think I'll be in for a long wait.
1 This as always is the crux of the matter - Players prefer grass but clubs can't finance both so it's either got to continue to be a blend of surfaces in the SPFL or only one type (grass) across the whole organisation, in my view.
Not that I think this has any bearing on the SPFL reasoning but all the same this could be significant longer-term:
If this comes to fruition it will require statutory and governmental support to be feasible.

A (paraphrased) comment that has gone under the radar, seemingly, on a Falkirk Daft podcast from a few weeks ago was that Yeats is being coveted by a calibre of team we'd be surprised by.
I took that to be one or both of the ugly sisters or even Liverpool at a stretch with their recent track record of scouting Scottish talent
Stranger moves have happened.

Seriously, can we not just get this arsehole banned for spamming?
You would need to ban an awful lot of folk on P&B if the bar is "posts I don't think are relevant/important/coherent"

Thanks for sharing. Crazy how expensive these developments are. Highly unlikely that Network Rail would fund Grangemouth and then another station 2 miles down the road when, as others have pointed out, Grahamston isn't THAT far away.
Not that I think it would happen but would there need to be anymore infrastructure than the platform to alight to/from?
It would just be a means to allow mass transit of fans between Grahamston and Grangemouth - a bit like the tram platforms along the airport route - on a match day.

As much as it's a laugh and I'm glad Ola is invested in our success, I can't help but feel it's a poor reflection overall.
Wasn't getting a sniff here and went out on loan and didn't pull up any trees.
I like the lad but he's not paid to be a cheerleader.

Not keen to pile in on HSW as while I disagree with his statement, I agree with the sentiment.
The football hasn't been great in the Championship from what I've seen but there is definitely a level of physicality that I don't think we've faced for a while.
We're also likely to see less of the ball than we have lately and that will be an adjustment for the players and fans next season.
I'd take a year of consolidation and squad building then hopefully be in a position to be in the mix.
We need to continue to support the group whatever happens next season.

... does anybody know if u12 season tickets can be bought for the KM stand? Couldn't see anything about this for this season but I'd love to get one for my son for next season when I go for my own
Yes. My son and I sit in the KM with an adult and U12 ST.

Saw this and thought of the Falkirk dual pitches for a 4th stand.Quite impressive and would be ideal (and relatively unique) down at TFS.
Instead it seems there will be a peripheral building for the Foundation for at least 25 years. I can't decide whether it's an opportunity missed, lack of foresight or circumstances.

Things must be going well when the day before a match all we can write about is a smelly wee rat we fired years ago.
Indeed.
This thread has become pretty stale whilst the match threads are much more interesting lately.
Come the annual P&B shuffle can I express a desire to leave 13 years of division, belligerence and petty arguments behind and start The Falkirk FC thread anew. Just a thought

Indirectly you've just put the goalkeeper chat from the other week in perspective
Give me a ropey Sam Long or Nicky Hogarth over a fraud like Leo Fasan any day of the week and twice on Sunday's. This game sticks out as a particular nadir for him and Hartley IIRC
Just watched the "highlights" of this game on Youtube to confirm that Fasan's performance was as bad as I remember and can confirm:
1. Yes it was
2. It contains absolutely zero Falkirk play from that day - we were absolutely abject - It's horrible
3. Let us never speak of this again and submit a takedown notice on that video
