  1. Ruaridh Donaldson's against East Fife was an absolute worldie, where he just melted it from about 35 yards with his left peg into the top bin was best I've seen at Ochilview in a long time. Broony's goal was sublime, if a player in the Premiership scored that, it'd be on every highlight reel. Definitely my choice for goal of the season.
  2. No, they can't be promoted from LL. East Kilbride have secured the playoff space against the Highland league winners.
  3. Nicky Jamieson gets my vote too. Only thing to add about him would be that I love how much he celebrates and the passion he shows. He's a fan favourite and a legend in the making, if not already.
  4. I'm sure Ormond was from or grew up in Carronshore? Only played a handful of games for us, if I remember right but a cracking player none the less. Willie Wallace is good shout as well.
  5. I'd love to see Tommy Steele, Miller Mathieson, Adrian Sprott and Paul McGrillen put into that hall of fame. Legends in my eyes. As for the Elgin game, I'd like to us play 2 strikers. A bit of me also wants to see Yates play centre mid, his distribution can be excellent and maybe playing a little further back could help us open them up? 4-4-2 - DJ, Bilham, Meechan, Lynch, Bucky, O'Reilly, Jacobs, Anderson, Taylor, Rodden and Aitken.
  6. 19 clean sheets, Aitken with 14 goals, lost 3 games and a 12 game winning streak. We sustained our position, kept up the belief and were consistent. What a phenomenal season. We've had it in the bag for a while but I didn't think it would feel anywhere near as good as this. It sunk in yesterday after the game, when I took my Auld man home after the match. He's 72 and was standing shaking with disbelief and a tear in his eye. He still can't believe that we've done it, after all of these years going to watch the Warriors. To every member of the team staff, Gary, the media team and the hard working volunteers who turn up every game, thank you!
  7. Definitely a good re-signing and will be able to contribute in league 1. Agreed with his contribution this season, has went cold too often and lost his place in the starting 11. He has the ability to make things happen and win us a match, hopefully he'll show us on Saturday!
  8. I was sober, maybe should've waited until the end of game before posting. Passion may have got a bit of a hold of me .
  9. Looked like his hamstring went. Bilham was hobbling off at the end as well.
  10. I think after the ball has been played and he pushes Yates to the ground twice, then holding him by the throat, is worth slightly more than a talking too. Newbury just showing himself to be complete clown.
  11. Remember when we 'let' you's scud us 6-1 and then we beat Bonnyrigg the weekend after...Go return the favour this weekend
  12. Just hoping we can get the three points and get the job done. As said, we're not in the best of form and although picking up draws, we need more from our forwards. This is going to be another game where we'll need Anderson and Wedderburn to be on it. I'd be tempted to fit Jacobs into the middle of the park as well and take away any space. Taylor and O'Reilly should start and use their pace to press their centre backs and stop the distribution. For that reason, I'd give Rodden the nod up front as well. Rodden will run and keep them further back. After seeing the starting 11 against Peterhead, I have no idea who will start. Just want the win.
  13. Defensively we were sound, Nicky Jamieson is an absolute machine. His tackle on Pawlett was brilliant, well timed and solid. He reads the game brilliantly. Peterhead played some nice football but just couldn't make that final pass happen or sent it wayward. Pawlett ran the midfield. Thought Rodden worked well and put in effort but Aitken was miles off it again today, he's not making that wee yard of space or anticipating the through ball like he was. His first touch was like bouncing a ball off a wall. Just looks like he's low on confidence. He wasn't helped with Kirkpatrick playing in behind him. The gap between him and Kirkpatrick was large and both standing flat footed at times. Kirkpatrick's movement and lay-off's were pretty poor and didn't give Aitken much to work with at all. Speaking of Kirkpatrick, he took a sore one. McCarthy is never getting there for the header and comes through the back of Kirkpatrick with his forearm/elbow, straight into Kirkpatrick's head. Ref gave a free-kick, no booking. No idea how the assistant ref never saw it. Ref and assistants were dire again. New shop was nice too see, spent a fair amount though . Still 15 clear and on our way!
  14. Seems ticket sales for this have been very positive, with the club offering a discount to our community. Warriors fans being allowed into the terrace. Looking forward to the game tomorrow just hope the team are determined and put on a good performance. Would like to see Taylor and Brown start.
  15. Good to see Gary signing a new contract and show commitment. Done a fantastic job.
  16. Maybe one for, after we've won the league. I'd like to see what Taylor is like up front. Put Yates at 10 with Brown and O'Reilly rotating out wide. Similar to my unpopular Rodden experiment idea . Taylor would stretch their back line with his pace and keep them further back, giving Wedderburn and Anderson a bit more space to work possession in the middle. Taylor's pace would be a bonus at pressing their centre backs. Broony has had an up and down season as well, but has always got his head up and looking to feed the ball in. I think, Taylor would have better movement to get onto some of those intricate passes Brown likes to play. But go with tried and tested, bring the 3 points home hopefully.
  17. Sad to see Iain and the media team go. He and his board have developed the club off the field, with the fans feeling very integrated. McMenamy was an active listener to fan requests and created a sense of openess. His work with Jamie Swinnie a few seasons ago, brought a sense of professionalism and investment to the club. The foundation is still finding its feet and developing; although I don't agree with no path to the first team, but it's great to see it progressing and the coaches/staff who give so much time to it. What is pleasing to read is the comment on investment through the leagues and desire to go as high as we can. Media content has been great, all the best to the team in the future.
  18. Decent game of football but thought we were the better side. Handled McNulty and Henderson very well, controlled the centre of the park and thought Bilham/Meechan both had solid games. Best moment of the game was seeing McNulty taking some stick very well, cusping his ear with a smile on his face and then rubbing his belly. Gave the fans some patter coming off at half time too. Gave my laddie a cuddle and a high five at the end of match. From my view, looked like we could've have at least two penalties. No idea why we never had a corner when their keeper had tipped it over. Assume the assistant thought it was out before the keeper touched it. Still, another point on the board and a 15 point lead. Bottom of the table is looking tight but playing like that against Forfar and we should take 3 points. Mon the Warriors.
  19. Delighted that we picked up the 3 points, kept a clean sheet and Aitken got on the score board. Three big games coming up for us against Spartans, Forfar (a) and then a potential league decider against Peterhead at home. A lot of aspects to keep the players motivated but none more so, than to get those games won and get the party started!!! Mon the Warriors.
  20. Congratulations to Nicky Jamieson on completing a 100 games for the Warriors. Well, I saw a Jamieson 100 jersey and I'm guessing that's what it was for .
