Sorry to change the subject from trains/planes . I recall there being some discussion on here a while back about hotels and specifically Booking.com - was there a scam running or something? Long story short I’ve had an email reportedly from my hotel via noreply@booking .com asking me to verify Credit card details within 24 hours or lose the booking of a hotel in Rotterdam . Now what is strange is that I have gone into my booking.com app and there are no messages in there requesting this information. Anybody else had this?

I would absolutely take Nouble as I think with a change of scenery we could get a tune out of him as a wide forward. He’s the sort of player (is unloved and abused by the fans at his current club) that we have had a fair amount of success with over the years. Its a yes from me with the caveat that we are also bringing in another striker be that KVV or a Mika type from down south. in saying that Sturm Graz are probably monitoring this thread so I fully expect him to be photographed at their training ground on Monday looking like he’s a POW signing his own death warrant .

You’ve hit on something that crossed my mind previously . Smaller squad = using players who have knocks but need to play because there is zero scope for rotation. The ruthless slashing of the squad in the summer means the above scenario is cranked up to the max and we are seeing the effects of players dropping like flies. Well excluding Obika who probably gets injured whilst driving to training .

The thing I like about Halliday is that he isn’t Barry McGuire. We need numbers in the middle so I’m fine with this. Re Mika I know everyone is taking a pop at Arsenal but the real cnuts in this story are Sturm Graz who will take him over there and give him 5 mins off the bench. Just another rich club stockpiling talent .

A right wing back. 2 midfielders one as a starter with one for our inevitable injury to said starter 2 strikers one as a starter and one as cover for either said starter getting injured or Obika depending on what day of the week it is. Butcher was dreadful the last game he played in midfield. A yard off the pace and doesn’t have the legs to press. I thought he was excellent last season marshalling the back 5 but have the fear that his injury has called time on his career at this level. Hopefully not, but my usual optimism has been crushed this season with what has gone on. Also can someone explain to me how fucking Dundee can blow us out the water for Curtis Main or indeed anyone else? We are saying we have funds in the bank - never mind we can all get balance sheets framed for our next season in the Championship.

I don’t think any sensible fan is looking for him to re - create his March to May 23 streak. However I reckon he would be good for 6/7 goals for the remainder of this season and that could be the difference between finishing 8th and finishing 11th or worse.

According to the Edinburgh media the guy is on loan at Scunthorpe and ourselves and St Johnstone were sniffing about. I have no idea if he is any good or not but fully expect him to sign for St Johnstone shortly .
