  1. If Miller can add goals to his game ( even 6-8 in a season) then based on his age he will IMO comfortably break our transfer record. I would like to see him hovering around the edge of the opposition box a bit more. That of course depends on him staying another season - if we sell now I reckon 1.5M is probably about right.
  2. On the Halliday chat he played very well the night we routed Ross County at home . He still has a good touch and is able to recycle the ball well but at times gets caught on his heels - I think he is lacking that half yard that you get with match fitness and he may be able to get that back with a good pre season. Far far too early to be writing him off IMO. On the Kelly chat there is no denying he has made a few of real howlers. St Johnstone at home when he staggered off his line into no man’s land, Morton in the cup and more recently the corner up at Dens. However to say he has been sh*t all season is very harsh. His style of keeping is a line dweller, he’s never going to be Sieb Dykstra . Our problem in defence all season is making decisive first contact on the ball when crosses come in. I think we could bring in a very dominant centre half and Kelly would be fine behind him but if we don’t or can’t get that sort of player then we do need a keeper with more physicality as the blend at the moment is all wrong.
  3. It is early days . He is no world beater but has something about him and I reckon he will be good for half a dozen goals next season.
  4. Just home and I had a great night. The players were great, happy to chat and have pictures taken. .Jack Vale was a scream he outbid everyone in the auction to get his picture taken with Stevie Kirk. Bravo Jack bravo
  5. The no 10 Kelly looked useful for Livy . Good composed passer and apparently someone that Ketts signed previously. Thought Nicholson showed great energy today was always looking for the ball. That cross from Georgie for the third though
  6. Sumners is also a very good read though my personal favourite of the Manchester genre is The Hacienda: How not to run a club by Peter Hook.
  7. I read Telling Stories a few years ago. Cracking read, though you would be forgiven for wondering how he is still alive given his substance shenanigans.
  8. I like the look of Kyle Turner but as pointed out by the Captain he is actually on County’s books. Regardless, once the Hollywood cash starts rolling in we will be setting our sights higher than this lot.
  9. I love wee Georgie Gent I hope we can get him back on loan .
  10. I’d say Blaney is a bit like Bevis in that he is largely fine but also capable of the odd brain fart. I seem to remember him bringing the ball out from the back and inexplicably gifting it to an opposition forward , maybe against St Johnstone? I think the best our defence has looked was when it was being marshalled by Butcher after January last year. If Butcher is indeed finished at this level then I think we need someone else of that style i.e. a calm composed organiser. We do look frantic at times , often under little pressure .
  11. From memory Crawford had a horror show in that Airdrie game , wanting hours on the ball etc.
  12. And also worth pointing out that St Johnstone would also have to go on some insane run for us to end up 11th from here. The teams below us all have to play one another so they can’t all win every game .
  13. Yep definite St Mirreny - type energy from a few Dees fans.
  14. Yep agree with this. I think if we are being honest here we would all be looking to be given that as a penalty if it was our team. It sticks in the craw though because we all know it wasn’t an honest attempt by Silva to beat his man, he was always going down.
